X men 97 is still on my mind. I need cape and cowls instantly. lol
Right-Clops in coming
Similar to how everyone claimed "controversy" with Joker and nothing ended up happening.
The Joker was targeted by fearmongering culture war bullshit but this film actually deals with a subject that has potential to draw a few gun-nut crazies.
Great Episode!
Only These 6 Actors Have Been Nominated For Multiple Oscars For Playing The Same Character, but nobody has won the award both times.
Bing Crosby was nominated in Going My Way (1944) & The Bells of St. Mary's (1945) but only won for Going My Way.
Peter O Toole was nominated in Becket (1964) & The Lion in Winter (1968) but lost both times.
Al Pacino was nominated in The Godfather (1972) & The Godfather Part II (1974) but lost both times.
Cate Blanchett was nominated in Elizabeth (1998) & Elizabeth: The Golden Age (2007) but lost both times.
Paul Newman was nominated in The Hustler (1961) & The Color of Money (1986) but only won for The Color of Money.
Sly Stallone was nominated in Rocky (1976) & Creed (2015) but lost both times.
Chad Stahelski has actually been added as a director for Ballerina reshoots for more action sequences, which they pushed to next year, which worries me that the action wasn't good on its own without him
"Can you just, fuck it down a notch"...fuckin CLASSIC...I'm stealin that one...lmfao
Re: Civil War.
It's tough if the movie is too close to home.
Only reason people are annoyed by it is because there is an amount of reality to it. For some reason people now don't like having a mirror held up.
It's how we learn. People need to grow up.
“OH I SAW THIS MOVIE” had me cracking up! ugh that was a good laugh
After watching Ana de Armas in No Time To Die, I think she will nail this role in Ballerina hands down. It’s disappointing the film was pushed back a year but I’m sure it will be worth it.
Exactly what I was thinking. Can't wait to see her in action, she was great!
I didn't see the Evans/Armas action movie but here action scene in No Time to Die was pretty great and she did those stunts herself so she can probably pull off some Wick style action
But Ana de Armas was a standout for her action badassery in James Bond's No Time To Die. _The_ highlight in that movie imo.
That was the best section of the movie
Excited for you and your move. I understand why people are a little uneasy about it, but after all the changes over the years you always figure it out. I’ve said it before but I totally missed all the old school shows and Shmoedown. I found you through Napzok on Force Center. But I can assure you over the last 1 1/2 years I’ve watched every back episode of everything! 10 hours of work 5 days a week gets ya caught up pretty quick! The one thing that stands out is that you’ve had a consistent evolution that has better production and all that goes along with that. Sorry for the rant my guy, but I really appreciate ‘getting to know you’. Congratulations and hope the move goes smoothly!
I think Ana de Armas will do very well with the action. She was brilliant in her action scene in No Time To Die.
Yeah, that was one of the best scenes in that movie.
Al Pacino was nominated for both Godfather I and II. 5 others have been nominated for playing the same character twice: Sylvester Stallone, Cate Blanchett, Bing Crosby, Paul Newman and Peter O'Toole. Paul and Peter each won once.
"Fuck it down a notch" 🤣💀
I was at the show too!
Roxy's afraid that he going to get a "New York state of mind".
"I am the Limax! I speak for the trees!"
Weeee
LMAO at the open conversation about Roxy's roommate's smash appointments. Holy shit 😭
Kristian getting the ONE white guys name correct in Shogun without watching an episode is hilarious
Pertaining to the friend of Roxy saying Bruce is looking old.....nowadays people are so used to filters on social media or plastic surgery and fillers that when you see someone aging naturally it looks odd to them. It speaks to where our society is.
This trio is hands down the best
Thank you very much, just what I needed, a light and fun show. It's always fun to see the three of you together.
Yes to Roxy and Brett doing the show in the same room. Can’t have Brett not socializing. For my health and his. Thank you.
When Jerry's Kids came out during the Curb finale and did their little dance number just made it for me.
Pacino was nominated for playing Michael Corleone twice, but the first was Supporting and the second was Lead.
“Ay who you touching ballerina!?!” 😂😂😂
Rocky, Kristian! Sly was nominated for it twice. :)
What's with everyone questioning if Ana De Armas can do action scenes? She already did action in No Time to Die, Ghosted, and Gray Man. So she has some experience and with great trainer and fight choreographer she will prove you wrong Kristian.
The New York talk is concerning me that the shows won't be the same. I hope I am wrong, but still worried.
Nah that is why this new program I use for virtual has been incredible.
Cause SoCal is expensive af 😭
@@JesusCM16 So is New York.
@@michaelgreene4816
Oh, so this is a full on relocation for him.
@@michaelgreene4816I think he said that he missed being in NY with his family.
Len Weisman hasn't really made a truly bad film imo. The first couple Underworld movies were a lot of fun. Live Free or Die Hard wasn't great but it was entertaining
It's made 24M opening weekend. It's got to have a sequel. Folks have to see what happens next.
I hope you do end up giving Roxy a camera. Her camera always seems to have problems.
We are working on it!
Yeah I think each of the crew will need upgraded cameras and audio for the digital shows. It really sucks when someone sounds like an airline pilot on a show, or if their video is choppy.
I must have missed the announcement. When did Kristian announce the NY move? Can’t seem to find it anywhere
On a livestream in October
Does anyone know which episode Kristan announced moving to NY? I missed that one would like to find it!
On one of the livestreams he did in October.
LA > NY. Why would you move? It’s not like it’s any cheaper or safer or cleaner. I love NYC, but considering the ever worsening weather around the globe, SoCal is the place to be.
WAAAY cheaper. WAAAAY
I don't think he is moving to the city, that's expensive. New York is a state not just a city.
@@erickjohnston7235 Yes I think he is moving to long island - still exepnsive, but way cheaper that trying to get a house in LA country, almost unaffordable even in the likes of the Valley. In most parts of LA, a small bungalow is close to or over $1m.
La and many parts odf calfinorla have s a huge problem with widespread homelessness , shoplifting, and drugs being openly consuumed in public, even in front of schools. Many The rich and celbes dont care as it is not taking place in Bel -Air, montecito etc. However a lot of middle class residents have left the state for Texas, Utah, Nevada.
New york city has this problems too, but at least the suburbs in long island seem to be cleaner safter that the equivalent LA suburbs
@@erickjohnston7235 thanks dad. I had no idea.
I haven’t heard anything about this controversy about the movie besides from Kristian 😂 I think it’s gonna do really well or at least I hope it does.
The movie doesn’t take political stances but people will find similarities between a few lines in the movie and real life. It’s not meant to label anyone in the movie as an R or D but it just alerts you to the slippery slope that can arise from decisions in our country by our leaders. Fascinating film
what i loved the most about the movie is how objective it actually is - which is what journalism should strive to be. it's a love letter to great journalism.
58:58 This.
The sound effect after the burb is what Roxy is used to hearing from her neighbors on a daily basis.
Roxy is 100% right and everybody is thinking it. Easily in 6 months or a year tops minus the uap show 3 out of 4 of your shows will be switched to new people
Moving FROM California to New.York, what kind of backwards pageantry is that?!
Moving your kids and family from Sunny Southern California with all of its benefits and opportunities to a cold gritty northeastern criminal hotbed of despair?
Texas or Florida I could understand for taxes and climate, but NYC?
Insane.
Don't care if you're from there, people moved away for a reason, if anything move your remaining family out of there to a better place, it would be cheaper and better for everyone, this decision will be regretted the first violent mugging or first winter.
Kids will hate it and resent it forever.
Well damn I don’t think you guys are giving Kristian enough credit. Even if this does happen, don’t you think he would tell us about that a while in advance?
@@TheLunarAssassin absolutely. And I apologize if I came off harsh. I've been a big Schmoes fan since 2012. I'm just basing my thoughts off of patterns we've seen. I'm not going to stop watching, but I'm preparing for the change
Kills me to agree, but I'm pretty sure you're right.
I hope we don’t lose the regulars on the show. I love Mike, Steph, Roxy, Brett, Mark, Koy, and Winston. It wouldn’t be the same without them.
15:13 I might be overanalyzing it, but I once watched the movie Precious with the director's commentary on the scene that won Monique her Oscar (he had her take hand sanitizer and start rubbing her hands to shift the tone of the movie). apparently it was needed as an ice breaker for the the audience because it was such a dark topic.
The music choice was abrupt as hell and it did seem really off - most reviewers I've watched have commented on the same thing - but I think it was used in the same way to bring the audience out of such a dark scene because it seemed so grounded in reality. If that was the function of the song choice for that scene, I thought it could've been executed better, but I get it.
Hahahahah heard Rocha talk about J-lo on the hot mic 40:03
Love the guy and his passion.
Wow didn’t know Harloff was moving to NY. Miss one or 10 episodes. But that’s awesome! The homeland
As I said on your Civil War video, I am hyped for it. I'll not ramble like I did on that video. The point is that Alex is one of my favorite autour writers/directors.
Ha all good!
On the 1% chance kristian let roxy go I'd stop watching. But no chance that happens
Cate Blanchett was nominated for Elizabeth and Elizabeth: The Golden Age but didn’t win either.
I agree Chris. Roxy needs as much soft lighting as possible. Good dude 👍🏼
Review of movie begins at 12 min 30 sec mark 12:30
19:15 u guys are fvck in idiots and I love it! 🤣♥️
Civil war should've been tv series sound like its going be compacted film
1:11 😂😂 we don’t wanna know
I'd love to know roxys thoughts on the aew cmpunk tape
Cienmacon was great this year
Also I heard that the Transformers one footage was fantatsic and we’re getting the trailer next week
Also X-men 97 was great
Finally took the plunge and ordered AG1. Day 2 of using it. Hoping this works for me.
It won’t
Ana De Armas can do action. Did you forget the last James Bond film?
there have been nominations, but I Don't think any of them won both. BING CROSBY as Father Chuck O’Malley in “Going My Way” (1944) and “The Bells of St. Mary’s (1945). PAUL NEWMAN as “Fast Eddie” Felson in “The Hustler” (1961) and “The Color of Money” (1986). AL PACINO as Michael Corleone in “The Godfather” (1972) and “The Godfather, Part II (1974). SYLVESTER STALLONE as Rocky Balboa in “Rocky” (1976) and “Creed” (2015). JUDI DENCH in “Mrs. Brown” (1997) and “Victoria and Abdul” (2017). and CATE BLANCHETT as Queen Elizabeth I in “Elizabeth” (1998) and “Elizabeth: The Golden Age” (2007). you could also include PETER O’TOOLE as King Henry II in “Becket” (1964) and “The Lion in Winter” (1968) but “The Lion in Winter” wasn't a sequel, he was just recast as the same character but in a completely separate movie.
Old is a solid film 4sure but the ending is not good &the reveal might make you hate everything that came before. It's one of those movies you can watch for an hour &have a good time & just leave before the ending, I'd say it's similar to his daughters film; great premise &even solid execution but the twist/reveal doesn't land &it colors everything else
It's 10pm in the UK, pointless fact but I'm told leaving a comment helps, so there you go :)
Def helps!
This is for Roxy..I don’t know if you have anxiety with travel, but the Acela trains from Amtrak are quite good. You would be in NYC from Boston in 3hrs. I have taken the train in the past and it was very easygoing train ride
I’ve taken it dozens of times :) but I’m a good traveler!
I honestly haven't heard any controversy over Civil War, but if there is, it's free publicity and it'll further help it's box office chances. As for Ballerina, I'm not clear what your issue with Len Wiseman is, but he's more than capable of doing that movie as far as I'm concerned. I'm an Underworld fan, I really liked Live Free Or Die Hard (the R-rated version more so), his Total Recall remake was pretty decent. I think I remember you saying you liked that one. Ana de Armas has also proven she can do action with No Time To Die. I didn't see Ghosted, but it appears she was good at it in that one too. Speaking of, it was an AppleTV+ film, not Netflix. As for Roxy's TV picks, that Jerrod Carmichael reality show seems like something I should check out. It sounds hilarious lol. And I can add 3 Body Problem to my ever growing list of must-see shows.
I do not have an IMAX in my state, only liemax. But we have a theater with 70mm.
Civil war is filmed in digital imax aspect ratio (liemax) so you wont get any extra screen viewable area on a full imax screen.
I don’t know why I liked it. I shouldn’t. It’s odd, kind of directionless (despite reaching a point we knew was the goal) and didn’t convey the point without additional input from Garland (in interviews).
“What’s my favorite word? Why you gotta say it like Short…”
Sorry, I couldn’t help myself
So probably im very late to the party, but can someone explain it to me what is this New York talk? :D Kristian and his family is moving to NY?
M. Nights movies and shows since "the visit" have almost all been 10/10 entertainment for me, except Glass. The rest of them are some of my favourite thrillers of the past 8 years. Even the blunt and awkward dialogue, I love it. It's weird, like his movies and shows are. Sometimes the dialogue is genuinely incredible and intriguing too.
great show!
Whatever happened to the Finstock, JTE episode that never came to be?
Finstock didn’t wanna do it.
He could never coordinate all the schedules. Roxy and Kate were also supposed to be there too
Anyone saying 3 body problem is show of the year honestly must not watch much television. Or are big Sci fi nerds.
It's good but there are few logic problems here and there especially with the characters
Sylvester Stallone was nominated for Rocky and Creed for the same character at the oscars but never won, that is the only performance I can think of that was nominated twice for the same actor/character.
Ah, I’m not up with the recent news, but a move seems expected after so long.
Did Kristian ever say why he is moving to NY? I know he is from there and maybe wanting the kids to grow up there too, seems sudden with how much work they put into this current home studio and the work put in with Katies show.
We have one genuine IMAX screen here in southwest Ohio, a few knockoff brand big screens tho
I fricken love Roxii, shes the best
Hell ya
Cody selling 1 million worth of merch is nuts!
"Fast Eddie" Felson nominated in 1st movie won in 2nd
Roxy seen Parish on AMC with Encarlo Esposito and Sugar on Apple TV with the guy played Penguin on Batman movie?
Honestly don't look to Roxy for good TV picks lol. She might be one of the only people who actually still watches stand up specials
I recommend people to watch "Children of men" before they watch Civil War i think CW was kind of a very toothless film when dealing with this kind of themes and backdrop.
I think people might be intrigued to see it because it is relevant in someways as to the events currently going on. It’s intrinsically on our minds TBH 😮
I get it.
@bbqking3908Exactly. A huge miss ☹️
@bbqking3908why is that a problem? The film was never promised to do that
The title itself is deceitful. Sounds like it should have been called "Press" or "Correspondence." The whole marketing behind this film is false.
@@nubby2790not the movies fault

Love Brett! Wish you would stagger him with other guests.
I can't wait to see Civil War! I've been a fan of Alex Garland so far and have heard great things about this one. Also, I feel like Roxy should get her neighbor on the show as a moving-away gift for Kristian 😂
I think help with the positive reviews. People who are skeptical and just dont want realism of a US Civil War hearing positive reviews might sway them.
I'm still skeptical. Im sure the audio, visual, and acting are intense.
The audio, visual and acting is intense and the movie is worth a watch.
People reacting to Civil War;
"How dare this movie imply that people are fighting all the time?! Wanna fight about it?!"
Broxyyyyy are back! Immediate click
Enjoy!!
Love or hate Blair Witch I’m not sure it’s remake-able. That was such a lighting in the a bottle moment. People thought it was real. I just don’t know that you can recapture that. Might make money but I’m doubtful on the quality.
Have any of you seen the new Apple TV show Manhunt?
Great show
I think it was a genius creative decision by Alex Garland to separate the politics of the film from our current day American political landscape.
It’s gonna be so interesting to watch pundits from either side of the aisle try to wrap their heads around this and try to fit the messages of the film into their personal political ideologies. The average American film viewer is not great at nuance and subtlety. Social media discourse surrounding this film will be… entertaining, to say the least.
💯 absolutely!!!!
So its a controversy now when things arent political or when things are political?
It's mostly people who like to complain, are going to complain. Basically. You can't win with some folks.
Roxy, it was catastrophe for my favorite word
This movie probably will not make more than 300 million; however if it does props to them, and that is an achievement.
36:23 Roxy, Cate Blanchett was nominated twice for playing the same character Queen of England
Good pull!
Not quite the same, an older version. Plus, I'm not quite sure about the rules bu Phoenix already won for this role and I think that rule has been changed...?
