      You can really see in Walsh's eyes how disappointed he was that Piers interrupted any tiny bit of nuance in what he was saying😂

    Susana Reid was at same Uni as me same time, never saw her though, we called those people as Yuppies
    She is so gorgeous though, absolute model quality girl and woman

    Credit to Piers here, didn't bow to the patriotic sentiment towards Wiggins. David Walsh always such a diligent upstanding journalist,

    I never knew they changed bikes so often, until I saw an exposé on the power assist they hide in their bikes, they changed them so often as the batteries run down. Looking back now you see the back wheel spinning with no one the bike (crashes)

    He was in all probability cheating, but so was every other cyclist from that era, so he still won fairly in my opinion, and I am very hesitant to even call it "cheating" .

    Ultimately if you never fail a drug test at the time (or retrospectively) then everything else just has to be speculation and hearsay. And if an athlete applies for a TUE and gets one then again they are racing clean according to the rules of the sport.
    Rules need to change. Clearly.

    Doping has always been rampant in cycling and still is. How many top cyclists supposedly have asthma? It’s hilarious. The thing is though if everyone is doping what does it matter?

    EVERY pro cyclist is pulling some kind of performance-enhancing trick..:)
    As Jacques Anquetil once said "You can't win on water".
    PS- when I was a club cyclist in the 1970's there used to be pro-am events, but we amateurs never stood a chance because all the pros were drugged to the eyeballs.

      @user-qr5ki8ls2x Před 6 měsíci

      I'd suggest his problem is that this is not the case. Doesn't he believe Lemond and Froome were angels? They may have been so but Walsh did say in the past, perhaps more than once, that cycling was a sport you could simply not excel in unless you gave way, and succumbed to performance enhancing. So I'd ask him how he can point at a few distinct riders and declare them pure?

    The drug they are describing is primarily used to lose weight by larger cyclists. The drug wasn't added to the WADA ban list until 2014. If it's not on the ban list than it's alright. Don't hate the player, hate the game...

    Bradley Wiggins is not a cheater
    He used TUI under the rules all within the rules
    Not a matter for parliament
    Don't know why journalists are always having a go at our best and most successful people.
