I believe Rangers have not moved on from Gerard’s one trophy for two reasons. Rangers players, as your captain has said, struggle to play under pressure. Secondly, Celtic we’re so poor that season that they never put Ranger under any pressure. Celtic are now back playing closer to the standards that their fans expect and when that happens Rangers will always be second best.

In reality weve been bare bones injury wise pretty much all season and started with Beale. Its yous that were lucky you didnt drop the ball against us… Keep Rodger please and well see what happens next season if we finally get rid of the core of this squad

I'm a Celtic fan. I can't believe Rangers are already calling for Clemont to be sacked. The fact is like it or not. The damage was already done to Rangers championship hopes before he even sat in the dugout.
Since Clemont took charge. Your form has been 10 times better than Beale with the same group of players. The fact you got near to winning the league was more to do with Celtics defence.
But Clemont still got you winning the games.
He got you one trophy and another cup final which isn't impossible to win.
Clemont hasn't had a chance to set up his team. Surely he deserves a the summer to get a clear out and assemble his own squad.

Clemante gettin to much praise. The results came from a new manager and players fighting for a spot! As time went on his lack of tactics starting to shine thru, no idea what team to play, his arrogance towards people and players. Rangers picked the wrong cheap manager again and stuck with the old motto of free n cheap players who have nothing to fight for! This is rangers now. You are second at best and skint! You can't compete with a team who can actually build a team up and attract decent players! This was only a title race because we dropped form, but yet again, we showed that if we give you a lead, we can easily take it back, even not playing at our best. Lundstrum hasn't kicked a ball for us since the beginning of March which just happens to coincide with him refusing to sign a renewed contract offer from the club.

Lawrence is not the player I thought he could be and I wouldn't be sad if he was off too.
We need an almost complete new defence, almost a whole new midfield and a whole new forward line....plus you need back up players for all positions.
We keep hearing the rumours about Butland. Every player has their price and his should be 'not one penny under £30 million'. Let's face facts here, if he was moving from one English club to another it would be a minimum of £30 million, so why should we allow ourselves to be short changed? If they offer less than that, then GREAT, we get to keep him.
For the cup final, Sterling in that midfield is a MUST, Lundstrum & Barisic should hopefully already be on a flight to Turkey by then.

Calls for ditching Clement are wayyy overcooked. He worked a miracle in turning Beale’s team into real title contenders - ran out of steam last few weeks but that happens. So obvious he can rescue and restructure flailing teams but can’t judge him properly till given the chance to build a side with players he really wants.
Took over in October 7 points behind, now in May 6 points behind. Quite the miracle

As an English born Rangers supporter, travelling to Ibrox for 55 years, and a 100% attendance at Ibrox this season, will be there tomorrow for the final home game. Seen some poor teams over the years, it runs in cycles, Phillipe needs to be able to create his own team, bring in some younger players, Devine, Yfecho, and Lowery to name a few, mix with experienced new players and several of the current squad, then if it doesn’t work you have a scapegoat to blame. Regardless of what happens I’ll still be taking up my seat next season, and supporting the team I love.

If Clement wants to play 1980's up 'n under long ball (or is that 1890's long ball?) then he needs some bullies in every department with mebbe 2 or 3 players max who can be a bit tricky with pace or skill.
Its not a style of play that the modern rules of football are friendly to And the current Rangers squad arent big or strong enough to play that pure power game.
Or, you can try and play modern keep ball football with a full high press. To do that you need to have serious athletes all over the park with pace and skill. You also need width in the team with at least one speedy winger who can move to either side and pull a defence out of position
.Those kind of players cost serious money. You can do a lot with a youth system which keeps its best players and trains them to an established team system, but that takes time. You'd need about 5 years of investment and refusal to sell the best youngsters if thats the route youd want to take.
Rangers were played off the park at the weekend. There could have been no complaints if Celtic were 5-1 up at half time.
Rangers played well for about 5 minutes in that half.
Theres no point kidding yourself with - It was only 2-1 and we only had 10 players.... blah blah.... and at the end in injury time we mightve.... blah blah.
Its true that Rangers might have managed a draw at the end, but thats only because Celtic didnt put away a quarter of their good chances to score.
Football is wild game sometimes, but you can't make robbery and lucky draws your team strategy.
The fact is that this summer is a crisis unlike the last couple of crisis summers.
Celtic will probably sell a couple of star players for about £40 million. They can budget for the same (at least) from Champions League money.
Theyre probably deep into talks over a half dozen of Rogers picks for transfers in and a couple of transfers out.
If thats not scary to The Rangers board as much as it should be to the fans.... If it doesnt make them go for a team shape and players which fit that shape then you're looking at Years, mebbe a decade, of 2nd best at best.
But do they have the money to build that team?

Liked the pod, content was well presented and well balanced. Agree with most of your points but not when you say you think Tav will still be here next season. I like Tav, but Rangers are more important than amy individual. He is simply not a good defender and has cost us more goals than he has scored. If he is our RB next season, the manager won't make it to Xmas.

We’ve all said for years it’s been the players but it’s the manager’s who get the sack! Defence been the same for years and it’s no surprise we keep dropping points. Midfield not much better but could be with right selection. Not had much luck with forwards but think dessers done well for first season.
