  • A leader’s legacy is not counted in awards or years of service, but in the people they’ve coached and empowered to become leaders themselves. Adrian Garcia, chief of technology and student services in Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD, has thrived under the mentorship of his boss and former 7th grade coach and teacher, Superintendent Danny King. Through the Holdsworth program, Adrian has been able to reflect deeply upon his leadership and plant the seeds to leave his own legacy. “As educators, our biggest reward is the success of our students,” says Danny King. “I have a living thanks right next to me in seeing my young student become one of the top leaders in our organization.”
