One of the lessons to be learned in this situation is that a woman should never make a man the whole basis of your self worth, the basis of your self identity. So much so, that it breaks you. For dementia to strike down Wendy in her prime when there is so much more she was wanting to do in life is very sad. Overall, the whole situation is tragic.

Ive been caring for my mom w/same diagnosis for 9+ years. She introduced me to Wendy show during sneak peak and I fell in love w/Wendy. W/proper care and support Wendy has many years & my heart/soul goes out to the family during this learning time ❤️🎈

I rewatch the show often and avoid the season when she needed Norman to help her with remembering things. It was painful to watch. I figured she had memory loss but I thought it was from alcohol or drugs

Why are we supporting how awful she was as a parent. Drinking all the time how awful for husband and son. Yes he should have left her but he obviously was doing her a favor by staying because when he was gone she fell apart. Her drinking is her issue not him leaving.

Insensitive. I'm sitting here fighting suicidal ideation on a continuous basis. Eventhoughh I don't know him; I know he's saying what a lot of people are thinking but not saying: 'I'm just being fragile and should get over myself'. Gee, thanks. Really needed to hear that. I remember Funky looking worse for wear, miserable, passive agressive and drunk as hell on Fox Soul. I don't drink my sorrows away and then pretend to be ' i'm so resilient'. Depression/desperation don't play and creeps up upon you when you least expect it. And when it does, you feel ashamed for feeling it and you pretend everything is fine while looking ashy, angry and pressed. Like Funky.

I also suffer from depression and anxiety and I have been fighting those thoughts but I honestly didn't take offense to what he said in this particular context. I solely interpreted this as taking your own life only to avoid being held accountable by the authorities for criminal behavior.

Wendy's mother passed. Her husband had a child outside of the marriage. She has a thyroid problem and she has substance abuse issues. The stress of all of these back to back traumas was too much for her system to handle. Some feel this is karma for Wendy. Whether it is or not the reality is that this onslaught of personal trauma has taken a severe toll on her health. Our bodies can only take so much before we break down mentally and physically.
