The incredibly unique tone and timbre of his voice is truly a gift you just don't see often. Coupled with his amazing songwriting abilities and riveting stage presence - I feel sympathy for future generations who won't have the genuine pleasure of seeing/hearing him perform live in concert. I grew up with Neil's music always on the radio...even if just in the background. And for that I'm very thankful.

I have listened to his music on and off for the past 40 years and I tell you all, it is music to your soul! His music touches your heart, relaxes you or makes you dance, releases bursts of joy, makes you at ease, reenergizes your body, and provides soothing music to your ears! I have also memorized many of his songs and have seen him 3 times in concert. Thank you Mr. Diamond for all you do and have done to humanity!
I have loved Neil Diamond since I was a little girl. Learning that he has this horribly debilitating illness is sad. I hope that his life is just as wonderful on stage. As it was on stage. Such a good man, Wonderful singer, and fantastic musical artist.

He's so unique. He has an essence of New York and he came from a musical family. Of course, if Neil Diamond were my cantor in real life, I would be so excited. In the Jazz Singer, he played the son of a Cantor in a Conservative synagogue in Brooklyn, New York.

Robert Cole I feel sorry for him because I know the battle that he is facing with Parkinson’s. My mum battled it for over thirty years and the last ten were hell for her. She had terminal cancer for the last 5 years as well and dementia from the Parkinson’s drugs and passed away at nearly 82. It doesn’t matter how much money you have when you have something like this.

What a terrible end to the life of such a talented man. I've seen him in concert twice and loved every minute of both times. Hopefully he will be able to write and sing a lot more before his illness becomes too severe. Here's to you, Neil.
In my younger days, when people asked if I had a hobby, I answered, “I collect Diamonds.” And I did, from vinyl to CD to digital.
I will forever cherish the letter he sent me, and the little thank-you note with the Frog King logo he sent after he was released from the hospital after surgery.
Neil is the deal, and no matter what may lie ahead, Diamond is forever.

@Steve Jarvis there wasn't a building left in our whole town. We gathered under a tent on church grounds. He was there, he never said a word but when he left he set it up to help rebuild. At the time we prayed for shelter and God sent us Neil Diamond. He now needs our prayers, may God bless him and you.

Neil released a new studio album on November 23rd, 2020. It’s called CLASSIC DIAMONDS. He went into the studio in 2020 and re-recorded many of his classic songs while being backed up by a full orchestra. Recorded at the age of 79, it’s amazing how great his voice still is. I’m glad he’s still continuing to record.
I appreciate Neil Diamond more than ever, since I don't care for most of today's pop music. He seems like a decent person, unlike many singers today. God bless him and help him with his health issues.

I have been a fan of Neil Diamonds music for a very long time. I was fortunate to be at a live out door concert in Christchurch, New Zealand. Many years ago. But even then the sound system was of such high quality that you could have been sitting at home listening to him. It was truly a life time experience for me.

I saw neil diamond with my mom stepdad and brother when I was 18 in Philly. Hes am absolutely amazing performer and I'm so grateful to have seen him and had that experience with my family. He sounds absolutely phenomenal live

When I hear Taproot manuscript or Jonathon Livingston Seagull I am instantly transported to a van carrying me my mum and dad and my sibs on vacation in the Badlands of Alberta. I am right beside you with childhood memories of traveling with Neil’s music playing during many long US trips. My parents loved him and his music. My siblings and I learned to sing along and really appreciate his amazing gift of music. He is a part of our essence.
