@@kepspark3362 too busy, when am I going to have time to sit down and relax for a whole hour, have too much work, and things to actually do. schedule is full 😭 so audiobooks are better for busy people who still like books.
I love both, Audible and physical books! Audible is great for on the go or having something on in the background while you‘re doing something else. Helps me focus sometimes haha
Yeah, it's actually the opposite. Most people will hate on people that like audio books eventhough people have been listening to other people read to them for thousands of years. That's not really something new.
In fairness, I also read books on Kindle (but only when I can't find an audiobook), I only buy paper books for things I can't get any other way, it's not a snobbish thing, it's a time thing
Yes you're so right..I totally listen to Audiobooks to be pretentious. It certainly couldn't have anything to do with how bad my eyes have gotten. And you're certainly not being a prejudicial twat on q high horse, this is totally comedy.
I adore physical books, but I do love audiobooks as they free me up to do chores around the house. Adulting is hard enough without losing several hours per day reading. That dinner isn’t going to cook itself. 😅
I love audible, and you're so right about the sleeping part. I listen to Harry Potter when I take naps. It helps stop my mind from wandering to places it shouldn't go, and I can tell how long I was asleep by what I missed 😂
Same. I drive a lot and do a lot of yard/farm work so being able to listen to audiobooks gives me time to actually listen to stories/learn material I’d otherwise not have time to.
I wanna know why physical book readers look down on us audiobook listeners. They’re mad I got through their same book and 4 more just on my commute to work and in the shower…
I'm the exact opposite, I have 3 book shelves full of novels, true crime stories, self help books etc. My friends mock me for it just like the lady in this short, I'll have to forward this onto them. 😂 I do listen to audiobooks while I'm working though, I'm not completely back in the 1900s! 😁❤📚
I listen to audible at work, but I'm a farmer so I can do that. But nothing on earth compares to a book in your hands, with the exception of the leather bound library at your disposal (and no, I'm not that rich, but I do have occasional access!)
I would prefer a hardcover book 📕 but I do listen to audio books when I take walks , or clean the kitchen or take a bath & sometimes before I go to sleep. But I also go to the library regularly and always have a hardcover book that I read as well when I have time. It’s called balance lmao
I saw a video that said to apply for a library card even if you don't intend to use it because the figures get shown to the local government once a year and if more people sign up, they have to give the library more funding.
Its funny there are people like that they can actually read a book but they choose to listen I listen to audiobooks because I am severely dyslexic and it's the only way I can actually enjoy a book and I'm using voice typing for this spelling is tough to
I wish I could still read without problems. My vision is so bad that I can’t even keep track of what line I’m on. Audiobooks have saved me, but I’d rather be able to read them.
Audiobooks are super convenient; especially at work. I am allowed to wear my earbuds all shift (Warehouse: facility doesn’t have intercoms) But as cumbersome as actual books are; from a cognitive stand point they are vastly superior. If you research it for 10 seconds you’ll discover the reason all social media clips now a days are highly edited and cut to the next clip every 5 seconds is because people don’t read anymore. Our attention spans have diminished from this and it’s purposefully done almost like administering crack to lab rats to keep you invested with another drop of dopamine every few seconds. No don’t go! Keep watching!!! It’s actually making us less capable learning as it’s harder to retain new information when we’re being programmed to think in these broken spurts. Actual books do the opposite; improves upon discipline and stimulates your imagination more as you’re forced to envision the content rather than the picture being painted for you without any effort. I doubt anyone will read this but hopefully someone does. Use your gifts wisely.
I listen to books while working, cleaning, driving. I also read physical books when I can actually sit somehwere without noise. The fact that it offends you makes me want to only listen to Audible.
I read so much for college (I'm an English major) so I listen to audible for the books I want to read for pleasure . . . but this is so accurate it hurts
At 50 when her eyes are plagued with cataracts from blue light she'll be begging for a physical page turner. I've seen this argument too many times. And the consequences of "knowledge came to late", too many times.
Yes, I listen to audiobooks, have since they were on cassette AND I LOVE hardcopy books. I have a respectable personal library of books both non-fiction and fiction.
There's definitely some usefulness with audiobooks. Audible is my favorite subscription, it's great at work. And yeah...helps me fall asleep. But it doesn't compare to a physical bookyboi. It's easier to get distracted and more difficult to get immersed and let your imagination paint a picture of the words you're reading.
I listen to trashy romance novels while I work because my work is boring and if its just a trashy romance it doesn’t matter if I miss half the book. I do listen to a lot of books though, I hope I dont sound quite like her. 😂
I’ve never seen anyone who reads audiobooks act like this, hell, I’ve seen only physical book readers (and podcast listeners) act this pretentious tbh (as a heavy physical library book reader) 😭
I only listen to audiobooks when while I'm working. I can't hold a book and operate a tablesaw at the same time. 😂 that said, I'll take the feel and smell of a real book over digital any day.
This feels like an ad for audiobooks for me😂😂 Btw, I kind of dislike audiobooks since I don’t get to turn to the part I like and read it like I do with real books. And when there’s new words or words that I can’t hear clearly it’s annoying. And usually I can’t sleep when listening to the story either. Cause I’m just too focused on it😂
I could mark important stuff in physical books and it would take less time in 2nd reading but now I can not do that. Even if I use bookmark function I would have to take a pause from what am doing open 2 locks of the phone and then add the bookmark. Good for listening stories or fiction although am not into it.
If I want to read something on the net properly I even print it out. I have a shelf of scrap paper just for this. I cant absorb stuff more complex than either a detective story or a half hour science presentation on podcast. Videoed lectures are different. And better that live ones cid you can replay when you drift off somewhere in your head. 😊
The library is my favorite place in the world. Bibliophiles rule!
It's where I go to listen to my audiobooks
I'm more of a deweydecimite,I just look things up and never go get it ,and then out loud I say, "me need book, where book "
I love audible. But I wouldn't use any of those arguments lmao
What arguments will you use?
Same this was cringe lmao
@@kepspark3362 too busy, when am I going to have time to sit down and relax for a whole hour, have too much work, and things to actually do. schedule is full 😭 so audiobooks are better for busy people who still like books.
I miss "real" books but have poor eyesight. Audio fills the gap wonderfully.
This kind of advertising, I Like ; Thank you Jackie !
My ass who can never understand shit without subtitles or any form of text: 👁👄👁
🙄This only applies to you. 😤Please dont drag the rest of us into this bs.
I love both, Audible and physical books! Audible is great for on the go or having something on in the background while you‘re doing something else. Helps me focus sometimes haha
The "Thoughts become things" got me lmao
And meanwhile I’m over here worried I won’t be allowed to call myself a reader because I need the audiobook with it to understand the book
Fuck kindle and Amazon but yes epaper is handy.

An actual real hardcover book is the best way to absorb information.
I mean …I only buy hardcovers because they lost longer but what difference does it make if it’s paperback? Lol
True
Not if youre eyes get dry and strained rly easily
For some people autobooks are better because they can't read as well or other things.
I hear you❤
I do both at the same time 😂😂😂
At least I know where my phones been 😂
I love audible, and you're so right about the sleeping part.
I listen to Harry Potter when I take naps. It helps stop my mind from wandering to places it shouldn't go, and I can tell how long I was asleep by what I missed 😂
26 yo construction worker i do the same thing w harry potter by the time i listened through im ready usually ready to restart them for sleeping 😅
Same. I drive a lot and do a lot of yard/farm work so being able to listen to audiobooks gives me time to actually listen to stories/learn material I’d otherwise not have time to.
Omg same😅 spot on 😂
As someone with adhd, audiobooks help me focus more on the text that way I don't get lost in thought as often
Can’t believe I took a break from
Audible to hear this. 🤓✨📚
Haha😂 ditto.
I wanna know why physical book readers look down on us audiobook listeners. They’re mad I got through their same book and 4 more just on my commute to work and in the shower…
Feeling of reading a book is amazing plus you are way more focus. But I also listen to audio books also
I read physical books because I need to be able to do at least one thing without relying on electronics
I loved going to the library when I could. Spent most of my teenage years just reading everything I could
I'm the exact opposite, I have 3 book shelves full of novels, true crime stories, self help books etc. My friends mock me for it just like the lady in this short, I'll have to forward this onto them. 😂 I do listen to audiobooks while I'm working though, I'm not completely back in the 1900s! 😁❤📚
Only three? Amateur. My stepdad has a whole _room_ .
The perfect Audible Ad.
I listen to audible at work, but I'm a farmer so I can do that.

You can't underline your favorite quotes in audible.
Oh my. I just became aware of myself! I love listening while I’m asleep. It’s real.
This is ingenious well done well put together right to the point❤
I can’t focus for shit so this helps me to enjoy books and still do stuff.
Omg!!! This was too funny
I read audiobooks ebooks and always still my paper ones just not the same as holding your book smelling it touching it the whole experience 😅😅😅
If she’s not illiterate, her kids likely are. Have another martini Daaahling.
I listen to books in my car while delivering, love audio books
Love this. And I REALLY LOVE the Mozart you put in :D 😍
That’s a pretty impressive straw man you just built there. Wizard of Oz worthy.
I use both at the same time. I'm a middle ground.
I saw a video that said to apply for a library card even if you don't intend to use it because the figures get shown to the local government once a year and if more people sign up, they have to give the library more funding.

I've experienced both of them but nothing beats the reading a book..
I like audiobooks but I love the feel and the smell of a book.
So great !!!
The loser, loser.. Got me 😅😅
People didn’t consider audiobooks reading for a while, so audiobook people fought back
I wish I could still read without problems. My vision is so bad that I can’t even keep track of what line I’m on.
Audiobooks have saved me, but I’d rather be able to read them.
Haha that’s me 😂😂
I like audible, because Im to lazy to read and my mind starts to drift in to other stuff while reading lol
There is no comparison to flipping the pages and the smell of an old book store. Don’t knock other people’s joy. Go do you girl!
Nothing beats physical books.... not even the audio books. If you know, you know
I like the smell of books fr
Audiobooks are super convenient; especially at work. I am allowed to wear my earbuds all shift

I agree with you. What you said is absolutely true.
I listen to audiobooks because the actual books that I want to read are either expensive or unavailable in my country😢
😂 too funny. Serial Audible listener here. I no longer have the ability to read a book without falling asleep in 5 minutes😅
I am an audible junkie...what a hoot...
I have HUNDREDS of hours on audiobooks and all I remember is that a guy did a thing, thats one more than you *Bookworm!*
Since I do both i could say that, audiobooks are good for entertainments and timepass while books are good for real knowledges.
I listen to books while working, cleaning, driving. I also read physical books when I can actually sit somehwere without noise. The fact that it offends you makes me want to only listen to Audible.
When i started with audiobooks and ebooks i enjoyed it. It's definitely convenient, but I don't remember thinking any of this.
I love both
No no no no..... You're not doing me dirty like that lol. I do listen to them, but only to help me fall asleep. Otherwise I'm hardcopy.
I read so much for college (I'm an English major) so I listen to audible for the books I want to read for pleasure . . . but this is so accurate it hurts
real books incrase concentration and patience and there r many which i can't definne
I like both. 😊 But the irony of the toilet joke had me on my knees laughing, while in my bed, *and then everyone clapped.*
Weird universe where her and Trevor was a married couple
audible while sleeping is my favorite place in the world.
TY for the laughs as always. You are a breath of fresh air in a wacky world
Lol this is comedy😊
I have literally never heard an audiobook fan talk this way about paper books. We do sound like that when comparing it to TV / video streaming though.
I actually prefer to read physical books. But I use audio books whenever I am out of home
Audiobook can never replace physical books
True
Mhan what i wouldnt give to time in an air conditioned library in the afternoon with my book and silence.
At 50 when her eyes are plagued with cataracts from blue light she'll be begging for a physical page turner.
I've seen this argument too many times. And the consequences of "knowledge came to late", too many times.
this batch is funny af
😂😂😂funny girl😅
i like the fit

I like all mediums. I have frequent headaches, so I can't read as much as I'd like. An audiobook is a wonderful blessing!
I’ve never seen anyone who reads audiobooks act like this, hell, I’ve seen only physical book readers (and podcast listeners) act this pretentious tbh (as a heavy physical library book reader) 😭
Today I was listening 🎧 to audiobook and reading a book 📖📖 😂😂😂😂😂 I actually follow both with great brain usage 😂😂😂😂
It drives me crazy when people listen to books and then say they read them.
Funny 😂
Omg she's like the female version of Stevie and Trevor from those other CZcams videos like same vibes
Guys, my audiobooks will help you change your life and change your bad habits into good ones
I only listen to audiobooks when while I'm working. I can't hold a book and operate a tablesaw at the same time. 😂 that said, I'll take the feel and smell of a real book over digital any day.
That librarian talks an awful lot for a librarian
This feels like an ad for audiobooks for me😂😂

What if I listen to entire audiobooks on CZcams for free instead of audible
Audio books might be a smarter option but don't degrade libraries. Humans are here due to libraries.
It's satire
that was funny. I have learned that my eyesight gets worse with age and audible makes it easier for my eyes.
I grew up in the 60's and 70's. Back when you needed a library card to access all those dusty books 📚 I APPROVE this message!😂
podcasts in brazil don't have ads pause in the middle of the show... US is weird.
I like audible but i still live paper books. An audiobook is a different experience
Books have their place. Audiobooks cant hold a candle to a physical print on paper
Lies and this been debunked.
There’s free audiobooks via public libraries and on youtube
If I want to read something on the net properly I even print it out. I have a shelf of scrap paper just for this.
I cant absorb stuff more complex than either a detective story or a half hour science presentation on podcast. Videoed lectures are different. And better that live ones cid you can replay when you drift off somewhere in your head.
😊
Audiobooks are life saviour seriously!
Do you wanna know where i learned that? On audible....... while i was sleeping.
What a dweeb!
You have to think... loved the expression.🔥
Be like eh? Impressive.
