I am so glad you are talking about this. I don’t think anyone else even thinks like this! This is what I am totally into!! I work as a contractor for a major US carrier, we get free domestic tickets and we just have to pay international taxes on return to US. We get one “buddy” who has to pay base fares which is around 25-50$ plus taxes. The only thing that stinks is our priority. It is based on job type category so actual airline employees are highest, and contractors are lower. Then, within each category it’s based on date of hire. There are other types of tickets that get thrown in the mix as well. However some pilots and FA’s can take a jumpseat and help the lower standbys get on a flight which is super nice and sometimes they do that. We do not have access to ID90 as contractors. I'm following some Emirates flight attendants on Instagram and I can see that they are working in economy class, but going on vacay in the first class. I am not pretty sure they're actually paying for first class tickets, so, if you know, can you tell me how did they get this tickets for the first class? And if they pay, how much they need to pay?

I'm investigating, this could be a very rare event, happening only nowadays given the low count of passengers, I'll let you know as soon as I get more information. I already asked some of my Senior friends in Emirates and they told me they never saw this happen, that it's impossible.
Perhaps the crew you saw on those pictures, weren't going home but deadheading to a destination, which is what happened to us too when we flew business class to Mauritius
Can you tell us about discount tickets for friends and relatives of flight attendants?
When you travel as an Emirates Crew, can you know get a discount only with codeshare and interline partners or is it for all the airlines because Lufthansa doesn't have either a codeshare or interline aggrement with Emirates?

Great video! I'm just a bit confused as to if there are any other benefits for staff after they resign? After the 2 years with the SRC ticket do you have no more privileges and then will just pay full fare? Or will you always have some sort of discount?
After crew resign they have no benefits at all, they can only rely on the src tickets they saved up (if they did save them up, cause Emirates doesn't tell its employees about this secret of the 2 year duration)

Has Emirates extended any benefits and discounts to their lay-off or furlough crew? I heard many US based airlines will provide medical and travel benefits up to a year after furlough.
They didn't, only the ones laid off and stuck in Dubai, get extra time in the Emirates provided accommodation since they have no flight to return home. What we discuss on this video are benefits for Emirates employees and ex Emirates employees, even after they resign. It's like tricks and secrets that the company doesn't say to its employees

The annual leave ticket is only for going back home but what does "home" means? Let's imagine, I'm argentinian but I got recruited in Brazil. Wich country would be "home"?
I forgot to mention this! Thanks! The annual leave ticket for the first 3 years takes you back to the city you applied from, that is considered your home! So if you go for your open day abroad, you'll get an annual leave ticket for that destination. I think you can change that by going to the Headquarters and speaking to your coordinator. They'll change that for you, but you can do this just once! Thanks for your attention to details! This is what makes the difference :) Good job!!

Thanks for the comment! They recruit worldwide, but you need to check the openings on their website. There are no limitations on nationalities that can apply, from what is officially stated or said by Emirates.

Can an emirates non rev, book and extra f.a. jumpseat for travel? It has saved me many times from being stuck
You may sit on a jumpseat only and exclusively if you're an operating cabin crew member. If you're a passenger you may not. I know what you're talking about and in my previous airline I jumpseated many times to go back home on full flights. This isn't applicable with Emirates unfortunately

Only on full fare or if you're a purser, first officer and captain. All the rest, including supervisors, mandatorily fly in Economy

Well you as a crew member get unlimited tickets id90s and id50s anytime you want. It's pretty much like this for every employee :)
Does ID50 works only for Y Class? Or also for J class?
Only Y Class. J class ID 50 is available for Pursers only and flight deck

First salary is while Training. That's 4000 AED I think.

Good question! Emirates crew have a dedicated crew cart for meals of many sorts. You'll find there many different type of meals, from vegeterian to vegan to low fat to fish and more! I hope that my answer stofro your question :)

I believe it always has, seniority doesn't apply to full fare tickets, special tickets and annual leave tickets. The rest applies

In United States we fly 100% free, and we pau taxes on international. Id90 are for other airlines, when we fly on standby on them.
