  • The word "SWF" is enough to send a shiver down most Killer Main's spines. And the only thing worse than a SWF is a SWF of TTVs! Today, we're going to be looking at a TTV SWF who are basically the entire salt mine in Dead By Daylight... but with a twist!
    I hope you enjoy the video today! Remember to let me know what you think by leaving a like and a comment down below and, of course, subscribe if you haven't already to help the channel grow and be the first to see regular DbD content just like this!
    EDIT: Since this video has been released, I have had a conversation with Blue about it and had the chance to meet her properly. I can confirm that she is lovely and has taken steps to act on what I spoke about in this video. If you guys would like to check her out, her Twitch is: / brizzynewindsong . Go show her some love!
    Remember, this video is not an invitation to harass or send hate to the people featured within, and please do not reveal the name of this TTV if you know it or attempt to ask for their name in the comments.

  • @TallMist
    @TallMist Před 2 lety +186

    Survivors like this are irritating. It's never their fault they got downed or hooked or died. It's always "That shouldn't have hit" or "The killer is a camper" or "The killer is tunneling" or "I was out of range, that shouldn't have worked" or "This killer is OP" or "This killer is being toxic". It's never "It was my fault I made a mistake, but now I have a chance to recover and try again." It's never their fault. Ever. They're DBD gods that never get hit if the killer "plays fair" and if they do get hit, the killer is some sort of scumbag breaking the rules. It's ridiculous.
    One time I was watching someone's stream, playing DBD with the streamer. I had killed this streamer as Nurse and I had hopped in after the game to say it was well played and apologize to him for things turning out the way they did (his teammates weren't very helpful to him, so I honestly felt bad). I played a few games SWFing with him and after 3 games, he gets pissed and ragequits, reporting the killer. When I ask him why he reported the killer, because the killer wasn't breaking any rules wasn't doing anything, he goes "Of course he did something, he pissed me off", then banned me from his channel and called me a bunch of homophobic slurs. His stream got taken down and terminated almost immediately after I reported him for slurs.
    That would just simply not have happened if he just took a breath and realized he and his team (including myself) were making mistakes that were allowing the killer to kill us. But no, he had to report the killer for breaking the game's rules because... the killer annoyed the streamer vaguely.
    Why are survivors like this?

    • @Awesometrax
      @Awesometrax Před 2 lety +20

      Or another cringey thing to add that these kinds of survivors do: say "oh this person's streamsniping" when something even slightly untoward happens. Some people I've played with do that, or one of the things you mentioned, and needless to say I avoid playing with them when they have that kind of attitude.

    As someone who used to be in this kind of group I feel bad for Blue :( In my experience it was kind of like a 3v1 whenever I confronted them, even if I was nice about it, they would downplay me for my rank or total amount of hours or just skill because they “knew more” than me. Or they would just keep complaining and talking over me, which I learned to be quiet instead of talking against them. When I figured they wouldn’t listen to me or respect my ideas, I just stopped playing with them and found it was more fun with non-toxic people or by myself :)

Whilst enjoying your content I’ve learnt a lot about how to change my perspective on the game and I honestly find myself getting a lot less tilted. The other day my friend had been complaining the killer was camping hook and I explained “no he knows two of us are in the area so he’s coming for us’ because that’s what he was doing, he saw we were babysitting this player a bit because they were new and he started chasing us off because we were next to hook too.     I personally wouldnt want to play with this group for a couple reasons;
    Firstly; They have no desire to improve. If you constantly blame others rather than looking at your own mistakes or mistakes as a team then you wont improve - and that affects me long term.
    Secondly; It's exhausting to be around toxic and negative people that throw, or tell people to essentially give up by suggesting knowably poor plays that do not improve the situation.
    I stopped playing League of Legends with some IRL friends BECAUSE of this specifically.
    Sure you're having bad games, everyone does - but that doesnt mean you should throw the game, or just be negative towards your team/the game because you've had one bad game.
    Thirdly; The group reflects poorly on me if I'm streaming with them. I dont want my community, people that I'm trying to appeal to get to like me to be put off by the negativity.
    That will stunt my growth as a streamer. Or worse still, invite other toxic and negative people into my community because that behaviour is evidently accepted.
    Lastly; If they're like this in a game about people they dont know, i cant trust that they wont be like this when I'm not around.
    It's the same with people that gossip - if they always share secrets or personal details about another persons life, what's to say that they arent doing the same to me behind my back?
    My guess is that Blue specifically doesnt confront them because they'd be just as toxic to her if she called them on their shit.
    Having said that - for as long as she continues to play with this toxic group it will continue to poison her growth on twitch, her community as a whole, and her own mental.

    I've recently started SWFing with my Bestie and a friend I met through her. I had only played SoloQ all the years I've been playing. It's really fun SWFing and I think what makes it the most fun is because of how we're all pretty chill. Most of the yelling comes from me letting the Killer kill me if they had a rough match and my Bestie yelling at me to stop giving them free kills xD;
    I always try to be nice people, even in games. I'm shocked at how so many people act when it's just a game. They don't seem to be having fun so why are they still playing?
    I've become a Trickster main in recent months and despite trying to be a nice Killer, I get the ragequits and insults. Luckily for me, I play with a lot of console players so they can't insult me in the chat xD

    I am one that plays both Survivor and Killer so I see the light from both sides ....... yeah it sucks getting tunneled out of the game as a survivor , but it also sucks as a killer to hear 3 gens pop in like 2 minutes. Both sides are trying to win the game and there is no reason to get salty about the way someone plays a video game. If they are tunneling then just get better at looping! If survivors are killing it on gens then try to look at the map and find a way to keep gen pressure up . I mean its simple to call people names when you are losing but its the only way to get better at the game. I think its funny how to survivors they think there is a rulebook against tunneling and camping, but killer never can say why didnt they follow a rulebook for the killers. NO they are just playing the game , they dont have to follow your rules and NO they can play to win if they want. Just move on to the next game and and get better.

    I'm a killer main and it's still painful to think that people genuinely believe that facecamping and tunneling is a valid strategy. It's blatantly not.
    Behaviour has implemented an anti-camping feature that allows camped survivors to basically Deliverance themselves off their first and second hooks, to deter camping. Borrowed Time has also been turned into a built-in survivor perk, to deter tunneling.
    Behaviour has been actively trying to get killers to *stop* camping and tunneling. If those two major alterations aren't enough to tell people "stop camping and stop tunneling" then I don't know what to tell you.

    This reminds me of a certain ttv I went up against one time. I happened to hook them 3 times as Huntress and was a bit proud since i'm usually a really bad Huntress so I went to say ggwp in their stream, got into the stream and not only could I not speak but he was absolutely livid about the 2 times he got hit, both times were extremely easy hits (one was when we were in a narrow space where he couldn't avoid the hatchet and the other was just an easy snipe) and he was complaining about the fact I was a 300 ping ass killer that shouldn't have landed those hits cause he was out of the way and then he literally ended the stream from how mad he was and I just sat there in astonishment cause I had literally come to say ggwp and found this.

    I remember once, I was playing a huntress game just for a daily, and I encountered a swf with 4 TTV. Map was swamp.
    I saw in the distance 1 afk and came to him, waiting for him to move before giving him a hit for "warning him to be ready when the game start". Bad luck for him, my hauted ground procced just as I hit him. The down that followed brought a sh*tshow of people attempting poor flash light saves and pallet stuns, dcing and letting themselves go down. I closed hatch and hooked the last downed survivor who assaulted me in chat with questions about why I didn't let her the hatch since people did dc. I explained to her that my job is to kill survivors and since the game wasn't even realy a real game (it ended in like 4 minutes) I didn't think she deserved the hatch (since they didn't tried to win the game and got handicaped by a dcing player).
    I then jumped in the stream of one of them for answers and arrived at the right moment to hear the girl reading my chat answers and the other peoples saying "trash/garbage killers", "the nerves of some of those killers trash main" and other nice words. I asked myself what I had done to deserve this and if I was realy a bad person for hours.
    Other quick funny encounter, blood lodge game, same scenario playing huntress for a daily, got stomped by a 3 TTV swf, killed the random, but they 3 gened themselves. Unfortunately for me it was before the endgame collapse update and they had key. While I was patrolling they found the hatch and tried to make lot of noise notifications to bring me there to tbag me and rub their escape in my face. I tried to take profit of the situation and train long sniped hatchets from the balcony, until they decided to just leave for they had enough of me not coming. Went to the stream and rewatched the match to see the girl TTV calling me a baby killer while tbagging at the hatch.
    I just don't get the entitlement and necessity of some people to show the other side how better they are. Do we see such things at the end of sport matchs ? To me it's just being a d*ck.

    Man videos like this make me feel so lucky with the friends I SWF with. Me and the other two play both sides, the % with each role varying but we still do so we never rage at stuff. When it was a rough game for killer we feel bad for them, when they tunnel or camp later on it’s like “ah that sucks, finish the gen don’t save me.” (Which generally happens if they start chasing the god looper of our team and refuse to drop chase ) Only time we’ll genuinely get bugged is a killer who immediately hard tunnels at 5 gens or is BMing hard (endless hook hitting, EGC toxicity, which we’re like “why???”).
    The last player is the newest of the bunch (80 hours) and only plays survivor. He doesn’t rage but will say often how something was ‘suspicious’. When really I just say ‘eh probably lag or some aura add-on’ which usually winds up being the case. I hope he eventually tries killer so he doesn’t turn into one of THESE survivor mains

    I want to share an experience I had similar to this.
    I was having a horrible day, I'd heard news that my grandmother had a tumour, and I was told it could be terminal and the whole family was in shock.
    I hopped on Dead by Daylight to wind down and try to forget how bad the day had been and how down I was feeling, so I screenshared my killer gameplay to a close friend over discord and I was doing meme builds/playstyles and such and just trying to have a laugh and I came across a TTV (not the one from the video) who was in a 4 stack and my friend wanted me to tunnel the streamer as a meme when we got into the lobby and he saw the TTV in her name. He quickly hopped on her stream and he watched her stream for a bit while the match was beginning while I played (he didn't give my any information on her perks or anything) and my friend left the stream and just focused on the gameplay from my discord stream and I successfully tunneled her out of the match and the rest of the team died shortly after. I felt horrible about it because I know how frustrating it can feel to be tunneled so I let one of them have the escape through the gate by taking them over and letting them wiggle out and let them open the gate and go.
    I still felt bad so I entered their stream and chat with the intention to drop them a follow and the 500 bits I had on my account for putting up with me, and I typed in chat told them I was the killer and how I felt horrible tunneling them out and almost immediately she started trash talking me and how sweaty I was, I pointed out how I let one escape and I was just doing the "tunnel the streamer meme" and was streaming for a friend on discord and he asked for it, and how I was sorry if they didn't have fun and how I had a horrible day and was just trying to chill and they still continued to put me down, she had a very consdesnding tone towards me and told me that I "only let one person escape to save face" and when I told them how I didn't have to give an escape and such she just doubled down on being awful and told me she didn't care about my problems because I didn't care about their fun at all and how I'm a horrible person for tunneling her out of the match and I probably deserved having a bad day because she could tell I am a terrible person.
    So I told them I came into the chat with the intention to follow and donate to them for putting up to me but because of the way they were I wasn't going to and how it's their problem since they missed out and how I didn't feel so bad about being that way now and immediately closed twitch as I didn't care what she had to say after that.
    I think that streamers like the ones in your videos and the one I encountered really shouldn't be allowed to be streamers. It's embarassing and horrible.

    The problem in a majority of games is that what the killer ssees and surv sees can be slightly different. There have been many cases where the killer was a few feet off and they M1, and I would still get hit. It kind of makes no sense, especially when I would vault a window fast and still somehow the killer hits me when I have already cleared the window. So I can see when people get salty in this game in general, since it relies heavily on ping.

    You've been popping up in my suggestions recently, so I'm just watching your year old videos :'D
    Over the last few vids, you've been really fair to EVERYONE involved. It wasn't necessarily this video, but you said something that's stuck with me: "If you are getting this mad at a game, STOP PLAYING."
    Not afraid to admit, I have rage quit DBD once. It was myself and two friends playing survivor. Game was rough AF. The solo queue survivor who joined us started fine. as soon as they were hooked once, their ENTIRE game play changed. They started pointing out to the killer where we were, blocking pallets/vaults, tea-bagging us when the killer downed us. After I'd been killed (which was 1st, as the survivor in question followed me EVERYWHERE, doing what I previously mentioned. I was FURIOUS. to the point, I spectated the match and he did exactly the same to my 2 mates, I turned the game off after the match had finished, because it just didn't sit well with me and I knew I was done for the day.
    Hearing survivors talking about Killers the way some do, like in this video, really, really annoys me. It comes across, to me at least, that they have never played Killer themselves. It comes across, that DBD is NOT the game for them. If they are so enraged by a Killer (played by a human being) trying to complete THEIR objectives, they need to play a game where the killer is AI/coded/an NPC.
    I know it works both ways, killers saying about "toxic survivors" but the same applies to them. Find a game where you are the killer with AI/coded/NPC Victims.
    Both parties involved have an objective to do. Both want to WIN the game. Much like everything, life isn't fair and you're not always gonna win. But when a game makes you so mad you want to disparage a person/wish them ill intent, turn it off. Find a different game.
    P.s, soz for the rant haha

    I don't play DBD much, but I remember running into one salty survivor once. We were facing a huntress and our teammates were hungry for pallet and flashlight saves. The huntress downed this one guy and realized that at least 2 people were trying to save. If she picked up the downed person, she'd just get pallet stunned. The other two people weren't leaving either. I finished a gen and saw the stalemate, so I tried to go in for the cheeky pickup and failed horribly. Now there were 2 people on the ground and 2 people trying to save.
    I managed to crawl and get picked up, and the other guy eventually got out and free as well. I eventually went down because I have the kiting skills of a paraplegic fish and got hooked. I could see the two people from earlier were sitting behind rocks with Kindred, and the huntress knew they were there, so she camped until I died.
    Afterwards the guy who was initially slugged went off on the huntress for being an asshole player and I shut that salt down immediately. That huntress played great, we were the ones who shit the bed. I have no animosity for people who play bad, but I do hold minor distain for people who refuse to realize their own shortcomings. I recognize that it can be hard to internalize one's own failures, but denial only leads to frustration and anger.

    Hey Aaron and community.
    I started playing DBD in October 2022 thanks to the holiday event. I love the game but have found the issues with the community that you describe in the majority of the series. Since trying to learn I have been recommended you channel and other so have been binge watching. One question I have is how do I submit someone I find that may be objectively harming the community with their videos or streams. I ran in one in particular thanks to exploring streams to learn the game.

    I could never play with people like this on stream or even off stream and honestly don't get how anyone can sit and watch people who just piss and moan all game, even if it's their friends that are doing it. She should honestly either not play with them or just not join comms. I almost had second-hand embarrassment for her while watching. Can't imagine having people like that on comms with me and then having the killer come back to the stream and watch the vod or just anyone thinking that I agree with that mindset in general. People use the term toxic far too loosely in this game. What's really toxic is what they are doing.

    Ecohing what someone else said about used to having been one of these survivors, it's so funny when you mentioned the instant karma. The shit talking and then instantly going down. That used to be me too. And then when I realized that I didn't have to be so pressed about this game, I thought about it more calmly and rationally, and in those moments when people don't play in ways I enjoy, I keep my calm about me and I'm not as likely to go down. You let that anger cloud you and then you make stupid mistakes. They don't ever seem to realize, in more ways than one, the way they're the problem

    The BEST part to me is that they are a SWF! I mean that alone breaks the game giving their team a very unfair advantage of always being able to keep tabs on the killer and planning their next move. It’s like starting with every vision perk and THEN picking 4 extra perks for fun because as a SWF you won’t need things like Spine Chill or Kindred because your teammates can tell you where the killer is. It gives your team a very unfair advantage yet to complain about a killer is silly. Lol

      @@AaronDukeYT In some respects, yes. I have to admit, I agree with your passion to make DBD a better community. I enjoy the game and for the most part I would be an example of the player who does remain quiet when it comes to certain behavior as to not call it out. Everyone is in fact entitled to their opinion which I guess is the point. You have your point of view of the streams you dissect, but have you thought about why they are giving their opinions so openly while playing. If they are just flat out rude that is completely different. I think this is where the view differs. I watched the video back again. I think the person just giving his opinion and the other more silent female teammate were much different than the other guy just blasting the killer. However you made it seem as if they were all at fault. If they are friends there is some responsibility there to be on each other about how they say things but they should be able to say them if they are enhancing the gameplay. That one guy though was just not it. Normally I would just keep to myself but I thought it would be good to interact with some of this content to see where it goes. Hope you are having a great day!

      So I can agree that Blue and the 4th player were very different to Green and Red, especially Red, in that they were quieter and were nowhere near as rude or salty towards the killer or the game, and if it came across that I was saying they were then that’s my mistake and I apologise :)
      The point I was more trying to make is the danger that they WILL just get lumped in with those two by not speaking up. It’s the idea that SWFs are a group of people, not individuals, and therefore the behaviour of one is reflective of all. So I wasn’t trying to say that they ARE as bad, but I was trying to say that they could be SEEN as being as bad, if that makes sense?
      Thank you for your comment btw, I always enjoy a conversation here 😁🥰

Bc as much as survivors complain abt killier, the killer is supposed to be the powerful and stronger side of the game. It really feels like a challenge this time around for survivors, as it should. Hell i'm even saying this as a survivor main. Before these changes, the only killer that was even a challenge to go against was a nurse. Now it is actually a challenge to go against every killer, which i love. And anti tunnel perks no longer gurantee escapes. Which is FAIR. @@AaronDukeYT Oh lord...there wouldn't be much to see except end-game salt in the end-game chat, really.
      But the streamer in question I'd be happy to relay in private...not public, of course.
      I always check Steam Profiles of Streamers, or of people I suspect are SWF - just to temper my expectations and lessen the blow if I lose, and on this streamers profile it said, "Will DC if you camp/tunnel." Now, I hate to do that shit regardless. I prefer the chases, I prefer to lose with honor...if I can't down Survivors quickly and efficiently, or at least carve out an area of the map that becomes a "dead zone" before going back to apply pressure to generators, then I deserve to lose a match; better to learn from mistakes and try to correct them in the future.
      To put it short, I only downed this streamer twice - I never even hooked her the first time, as I was protecting my Hex: Ruin and trying to apply hook pressure on others. But with two dead, and one on hook, I happened to spy the scratch marks of this streamer nearby, so I went in for the finish - that's when they disconnected upon their second down.
      End-game chat, I asked why they disconnected if I didn't camp/tunnel anyone, I never even hooked them, and it turned into a shouting match of "stream sniping" because I "was responding to things they were saying between each other in call." I never had their stream up, and I'm just an understanding, social fella...they wanted to get my Twitch taken down for "harassing them."
      Nothing came of it. They probably still play like shit today. It taught me that "even a player with 10,000 hours can be shit at the game" (in total, they had over 7,000 hours to my 1.2k at the time).

But I have a major problem with confrontation and it was only recently after a VIP of mine and I had a real problem that I had to ban them and take a stand. I didn't lay strong enough boundaries and it bit me in the butt. However, this was after several offline conversations with this VIP telling them to stop certain behavior during my streams and him REPEATEDLY not listening to finally take action. I try to be respectful and "confront" these people when I'm not on stream so it isn't like I am making them vulnerable in front of everyone. But it is rough and like you said send the wrong message to everyone watching. I definitely sympathize with her because it can be hard to confront people you consider to be friends especially in front of an audience but it can be necessary to set those boundaries. I know for sure now I need to be stronger with boundaries so I never have to deal with someone I trusted taking advantage of my kindness like my VIP did.

So I’ll give some clip notes: (1) I entered a game with three players playing Feng Min (2) The killer was the Onryo; aka Sadako (3) I was doing a gen (4) I was in killers range and got downed (5) Team saved me but killer never attacked or went after them and watched not far from hook of the people getting me unhooked (6) Once’s unhooked killer went straight for me as team just followed behind killer (7) Got downed and hooked second time (8) Got unhooked; again killer was watching and went straight for me again (9) One teammate body blocks me from getting away and lastly (10) Got downed and died on my third hook. I don’t know why they did it but I was still very new to the game, I say about almost a 2 and a half weeks in. I just accepted that most likely both the survivors and the killer I went up against was either a troll SWF team or a bully SWF team that picks on newer people, I brushed it off and just continued on to my next game.
