Discovered northern Georgia hiking July 2023 and fell in love with the areas. The weather was fabulous and after the terrible heat and humidity in Florida, I was in heaven. The trails with streams and waterfalls were my favorites.

Thanks for this. I did a trip this past summer to that area and want to go back. This is the first I’ve heard about Rabun Bald so I’ll add it to my list.

Great list! Love those trails, especially Yonah Mountain. I would add the Pine Mountain Trail near FD Roosevelt State Park to the list.

We love the blood mountain loop! Actually heading there with the wife and 6 friends this weekend. Hoping to catch some fall colors at the top

I would love to see a Part 2 focusing on backpacking spots! I have also been on Yonah when the Rangers were there....during a helicopter drill. I have a video on my channel :)

Blood Mountain was my first hike in North Georgia about 10 years ago. Have you visited Colorado? I film mountaineering videos out here. Keep at it!

Try Pine Log Creek trail near Adairsville, GA. Great 5 mile switchback trail that goes past a old rock quarry. Well maintained trail.

This trail is epic, low traffic to. Great spot to bring lunch and hang by the quarry

Do you have any tips for someone with a new CZcams channel focused on hiking and backpacking??

      Hi there!
      1) Be consistent in posting/engaging with others
      2) Find your niche - but don't get too super specific
      3) Pay attention to what kinds of videos are popular in the hiking/backpacking CZcams community and draw inspiration from (but don't outright copy!) them - put your own unique spin on what's popular
      Best of luck to you!

What would you say the best waterfall hike is in Georgia?

Helton Creek Falls in Blairsville is my personal favorite!

@@WanderingTheGap That is a cool waterfall and a short hike to the base. Have you ever been to Panther Creek Falls? Tallulah Gorge? Those are my top 2 in Georgia for sure!

    • @WanderingTheGap
      @WanderingTheGap  Před 4 lety +1

Not Panther Creek Falls but I have been to Tallulah!

@@WanderingTheGap Not sure if they have reopened the trailhead at Panther Creek or not, but it definitely worth checking out. Here is a link to some of my favorite waterfalls hikes in Georgia! Would love to hear your feedback! czcams.com/video/zyPBmcZeNzA/video.html

Great video! I’ve done most of the hikes you’ve mentioned. You are spot on about hiking Blood Mountian in the winter. I did it in February and it was gorgeous. I’ll have to try Rabun Bald. Sounds great!
