Most Difficult Waterfall Hike In Georgia? | Panther Creek Falls Trail Via Upper Falls

  • If done correctly, Panther Creek Falls Trail Via Upper Falls is one of the most difficult but rewarding waterfall hikes in the southeast. Out and back it's only 7.2 miles. But with the split off trails that lead to its hidden gems, you're looking at a little over 10 miles with drastic elevation changes. Overall, Panther Creek Falls Trail in Clarkesville, GA is much more difficult and scenic if you venture the split-off trails. We highly recommend it!

Did you have to go back on same trail to get to your car or does it go in a circle that leads you back to your car per say?

@@cima3070 It's an out and back trail. At the end, we went straight back from the trail we came on.

Wow! You have done such a beautiful job showing all the beautiful split offs. I went there several years ago and just went straight to Panther and missed all the other beautiful waterfalls along the way. We’re planning to go there this weekend so we’re definitely going to explore those other sceneries. Thanks for this amazing video!

My wife and I’s 4 year old girl did this, other hikers were giving her high fives on the trail! She’s also a competitive gymnast so maybe stronger than an average 4 year old but still! Love the hike and camping along the trail. Great video! Lots of nice highlights.

Great video that brought back some great memories. Next time you guys walk this trail, you might want to continue past the pond and waterfalls and you can walk all the way to Toccoa. We did the complete trail years. At the end you have to walk across Panther Creek which is 50-60 feet wide and about 24-30" deep. We had two cars and were really happy to have the other car to get back to the trail head.

I did this at summer camp years ago. I was not aware it would be a 7 mile hike 😂 I did it in pool shoes! My toes were raw and I could barely walk the next Morning

Thanks for the info. I wrote down all the extra rewards! Have you guys hiked Emery Creek? I love to see your video from there one day, especially if you continue to hike past the first 2 falls and find the next 3 falls. This hike is incredible, lots of hidden treasures along the way. (Great camp site between 1st & 2nd falls & and another smaller one between 4th & 5th falls) I have seen the 3rd falls but didn't have time to bushwhack down to it.

Emery is definitely on the list. I heard it's pretty difficult. This week we'll be in South Carolina doing many hiking videos up there. And thank you so much!

  • @all-in-onehealthylifestyle9436

I ran into this video with a nice surprise. Thank you. With these fit individuals, all the movements made this waterfall's hike the profound beauty of its location. I have hiked from the northern end like you guys did several times with a group and one time solo. The trail continues on the southern end. Your video is most current from my search so far as I was thinking about going back there this weekend to enjoy the epic adventure. www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/conf/recreation/hiking/recarea/?recid=10514&actid=50
