So....that led my research to you while addressing my diabetes and bad knee. After taking notes I ordered some good Benfotiamine and after 24 hours there was less pain. After 48 hours it was much better yet I still had a sharp pain while stepping on it. I doubled the amount I was taking and its almost normal now. Because I'm overweight I know my thighs can only handle so much walking, but at least I can now start walking to lose this weight. Thank you so much!

I did have a severe case of neuropathy, for diabetes 2 the main thing to repair nerves is to get your blood sugars in the normal range, B12 in the form of methylcobalamin , it takes a long time to repair damaged nerves but it is possible.

I would take b12 methyl' 5 mg daily on a empty stomach for about a month then go onto 1mg daily, r- lipoic acid also helps take what ever the manufacturer recommends, when the nerves are repairing it is hard to tell the difference of a flare up in symptoms or healing of nerves, over time the healing is less severe and not as often, the normal blood sugars is the key to success , it took me about 3 years to heal properly. hope this helps.. good luck.

This is very interesting. I've just been diagnosed with Diabetes II and will be seeing a care team tomorrow. I will definitely take all this info to heart as I go in there tomorrow. I have been trying to change old habits; but it's hard. I hope if I keep watching these videos this will help to reverse the brainwashing that I feel like I've had growing up on food...like Pepsi, McDonalds, eating out a lot, and all these things now I'm realizing how bad all this stuff is for you. For my daughter, I've already changed how she eats vs. when I was her age so she will fair better when she gets older. I've listened and what you say makes sense. I feel like I've been blind all these years thinking this stuff isn't that bad for you and now I see the damage it can cause.

Buy 150 or 300 mg and take multiples. If you don't see results, take more.

Dr Berg, does Benotiamine sometimes cause hair loss and should it be taken with Alpha Lipoic Acid or not ? It just sounds wonderful and being a T1 Diabetic I’ve noticed a lot of hair loss over the past five years. Can you please help me with this query as my blood sugars are notoriously brittle no matter how carefully I watch and check them. I’m feeling desperate here to be honest. Thank you most sincerely. 🙏

Dr Berg, thanks for the information. I am pre diabetic with HbA1c around 6.1 for last 6 years and on low carb diet with intermittent fasting. I want to start vitamin B1 but in another Video you have recommended that one should avoid synthetic vitamins. So should I take Nutritional yeast and sunflower seeds for B1 or should I take fat soluble benfotiamine capsules. Please advise. Chanda

I think he would recommend all three, but he's been emphasizing benfotiamine, as it is fat soluble and gives you a much higher dose of B1.

Dr Berg, the problem with fat soluble vitamins is that if you get too much, the extra doesn`t leave the body. What would be the signs of excessive fat soluble B-1? And, in your opinion, would this be a cause for concern? Thanks
