@H. Nguyen Amazon didn't turn a profit for 20 years. They reinvested in themselves and their capability. Look at Amazon now. PLTR have followed this model. Their business and financial fundamentals are solid, metrics are trending in the right direction for 20 and 21, and they're playing a long game. This is an undervalued stock. Pay attention.
@H. Nguyen I'm not comparing the companies per se. I am comparing their development strategy, which are similar. Both companies have more in common than you think, but not surprised that you don't get it. Your language indicates why you don't understand the comparison.

@H. Nguyen You can't be a successful company without selling a physical product? Oh no someone tell Netflix they're "delusional" ! If you had an idea of the world around you you'd realise Subscription-based services are outperforming physical goods in monthly revenue. Look at Apple ( Apple TV , Apple Music, App store) , Spotify, Deezer, Duolingo, Microsoft Office, Adobe. EVERYTHING is about software.

Finally we got good stock for long term
You can run your entire business on Salesforce technologies. You can run your entire business on Oracle technologies. You can run your entire business on Microsoft technologies. You CANNOT run your entire business on Palantir. You can inform various aspects of your business with Palantir, but you can't operate it. Big challenge for a company like Palantir to grow beyond data analytics.
For the sake of diversification buy Palantir it seems like they do everything

Lucky enough to have held Shares in Palantir before it’s IPO .
The Scottish Mortgage Investment Trust has held Palantir Shares for years .
Since Palantir went Public I’ve been buying more Shares .
Have Faith in this company not because I know the first thing about AI but because this Channel seems keen on this company as well as Ark and Scottish Mortgage .
3 independent thumbs up makes it worth the Risk .
Palantir makes up 0.4 % of my Portfolio . I plan to gradually increase my holding to 1.0 %
Then look for another high risk stox
Palantir seems like from one of these not so distant future movies where one good on the outside but bad on the inside company controls everything

This is a perfect coffee can company. Once you realize they have been developing this product for more than a decade, then you realize that Karp and his team care about the long term position of this company. I have no doubt Palantir will be successful.

@@nchinth It’s an old term. The idea is that someone would buy shares of a company, throw them into a coffee can, then remember they own the company twenty years later. There is going to be a a lot of good and bad noise, green shoots and dramatic drops, and the rest of the works. Regardless of all that, I am confident in holding this company as long as the growth is sound. Hopefully that’s for years or decades.

I certainly wouldn't add more PLTR above $25 until earnings catch up, but I was happy to buy in at ~$15 a few months ago an willing to see how the company plays out for this decade. Not Investment Advice, I just like the stock. I've also dramatically reduced my cost basis selling calls during that rally to 45.

@@codyehmke1218 sure did. I have 6 contracts. 10 dollar strike that expires Feb 2021. I am up 6x my money. Also have 2 contracts 10 dollar strike that expires Jan 2023. Also a 14 and 17 strike that expires in Jan and Feb 2021. I wanted to do more but have so many other options and LEAPS options on other stocks like GE, RIOT, NIO, VISA, SCHW, I do have a post on my CZcams that shows what I have that I did about a month ago. I’ve had 50 shares since IPO. Patiently waiting lol buying all the dips. This company tracking coronavirus and stepping into healthcare will push it.
Or you could own the equivalent to FAR more than 50 shares by just simply buying options. Since you wanted shares you could choose the longer term option of leaps. Way less capital requirement to own way more of the company for even far more returns. I have 37 2022 leaps so far and I’m up a large amount compared to my friend who only owns like 30 shares now. I also spent about the same if not less to own the equivalent of 3700 shares. Trade options, not shares. Forex & futures are even a much better alternative to shares. Shares are the worst trading/investing idea for anybody that wants actual returns.

Why don’t they more often make this clear?
To think through the business case:
-employers are interested in augmenting every employee to PhD level
-they pay $15 per employee per month for this
-500 million employees/self employed
-> $7.5bn revenue per month
-> $6bn gross profit per month
-> $72bn gross profit per year
-> $72bn*25 multiplier= $1.8T market cap
