I know another great collab between JLGL and Nowlan was the Metal Men strip in the Wednesday Comics series.
I loved those Wednesday Comics; the size was refreshing. My favorites were the Ryan Sook Kamandi and the Paul Pope Adam Strange.
"I have all of them." Said twice, with emphasis. 😂
JLGL and Nowlan also collaborated on Batman Confidential #26-28 and one of the short stories in Action Comics #1000.
I bought all of these Amalgam comics when they came out and had no idea they were all one shots. I was the stupid kid asking about issue #2 at my comic shop.

I know I may not be saying anything new to you but you and Ed got me back into art and comics and watching you two got me through a rough time after I sobered up when I didn't really have friends or much of a reason to go on except I was always waiting for next Wednesdays releases or what finds you guys would show off. I'm more hurt by the loss of Ed than someone who never met him probably should be but parasocial connection aside you guys actually really helped me and I just wanted to let you know that and to thank you both.

Jose Luis Garcia Lopez worked with Michael Fleisher on Jonah Hex when that launched in 1977 and I've appreciated his art work since. Thank you for continuing to share videos. long time, first time, and heal in time.
Love you guys, im looking into this era of marvel 1997-2002 it’s my favorite era with the gatefold covers, Marvel Knights & MAX, X-Statix, Heroes Return, Universe X/Earth X
I almost never have a comic you guys cover, but somehow I came into possession of this issue years ago. Like you said, a neat concept that unfortunately didn’t have the room shine.
When the guys were talking about how well Garcia-Lopez and Nowlan complemented each other, it made me think of the similarly spectacular melding of styles that was Ed and Jim in these videos. One of the greatest comics team-ups of all time! Thanks for keeping it going, Jim -- whether it's just until you finish publishing the videos you and Ed had recorded, or beyond. I hope you realize how much you are appreciated.

Cinder and Ashe by Jerry Conway and José Luis García-López. I got it because of JLGL art haven’t read it but the art is very solid reminds me of the kool action books like Johnny Bravo or Johnny Quest.

This was my first amalgam comic I remember getting it in those 5pack comics that the corner store used to sell back in the day, I thought this one was weird being 3 characters in one when most were just 2 mixed together but I was a huge Dr fate fan so I dug it

There were a few years where Preacher was the only comic i read, partially due to being a broke college student but definitely also due to the majority of comics being shit at the time.
