    Small tip: You can set the beeper volume to 1 if you want the low voltage alarms to be less annoying (plus power on / off, lift switch sounds etc). The PWM alarm will always play at the maximum volume (9), so no need to worry.

    • @ElectricUnicycles
      @ElectricUnicycles  Před rokem +5

      That's a big tip actually. A local rider reminded me of this. Since I never use the beeper volume I had forgotten about it. And also good to know that the PWM alarm is unaffected by the volume level. Thanks for commenting 👍

    Since I started riding a year ago, I’ve also realized that long rides in the forest or along the fiord where I live is what I like. I never expected to come to a point where the 35-40 miles reachable on my 100V 1.230Wh MSX (at 20mph) would be an issue, but it is 😩
    Riding 100 miles at 25-30mph would be absolutely amazing.

    B-E-A-utiful video Marty! Tip: If you can't ride seated, then you can do the following: when you go uphill move your feet 1-2 cm in front on the footrests. This way your center of mass shifts in front and the Pro goes by itself, you don't need to push it at all, you just stand on it and relax.Similar, when going downhill, move your feet backwards and the wheel will keep the speed easier without you struggling to brake, regardless of inclination. You can do this while riding, no need to stop for it to rearrange your feet, of course. This trick compensates for the huge weight of the wheel, you don't need to wrestle with it to push it uphill or drag it backwards to brake. Kudos.

      You have NOTHING to worry about regarding the display not working and the functioning of the wheel balancing. It's a DC/DC sub-board that provides power to the lights and display. Begode has a simple hardware fix. Contact you dealer for the replacement board (extremely simple to install).

  • @Stan0619
    @Stan0619 Před rokem

    The Sherman S seems to be the winner of suspensions. I noticed the Commander Pro seems to have taken the same system. In your opinion, do you think Begode will eventually follow the same suspension as Leaperkim, since the commander is connected to Begode?

    • @ElectricUnicycles
      @ElectricUnicycles  Před rokem +1

      Me and a lot of people would be disappointed if Begode followed Veteran regarding the suspension. The Sherman S is very nice but the KingSong and Begode suspension designs, based on a single shock and linkages, is much better than what Veteran and Inmotion is doing. IMHO.

  • @mikeintampa250
    @mikeintampa250 Před rokem

    Hey Marty I forgot to add on that on my Master I was able to change the display to miles so you might be able to do that for yours too. Besides the inconvenience of not having the display come on when it's cold, is it's safe to ride in the cold when the display isn't working, meaning is there anything else that may not be working properly in the cold? I hope you don't blow Duf's mind too much when he's there to the point where he wants to move from Florida. Speaking of death, what stand would you use for the Master Pro? Like you, I use Duf's stands but I don't know if I would want to lift the Master Pro onto one. I wonder if he will be making one with a ramp, hint, hint.

    • @ElectricUnicycles
      @ElectricUnicycles  Před rokem +1

      I will have to try it with my Master. I didn't think my V1 version supported it. The issue with the display not working as to do with the DC sub-board that powers the lights, speaker, and display. It has nothing to do with the main control board, so yes, it's safe.
      Duf's stand has been working perfectly for my 121-pound Master Pro.

    You have to realize that bigger batteries make energy consumption goes higher and higher because the weight of the wheel goes up and so does the power of the motor. From a certain point on, diminishing return will make it unprofitable. My Nikola+ average energy consumption vary from 25- 34wh but on my Commander on the other hand, it varies from 33-40 and the wheel is only like 8 kg heavier. Im wonder what is the average energy consumption on this monstrous wheel in your video. Cheers..

    • @ElectricUnicycles

    My Opinion: I understand how you like that big battery! BUT: The Master Pro seams - in comparison to other big battery wheels - really need a LOT of energy. when calculating here we have a need of 30wh for one kilometer, while “normal” is more 20-25wh, at that speed (max 30mph) more on 20/22wh per km.
    i have seen riders with 3600wh battery like Sherman max or other 3600wh wheels doing group rides with the Master Pro, where at the end the master pro was at 0% and the other, smaller battery wheels still having 10-15%. Thats a bit of a bummer, seeing that 3600wh wheels can go the same way.
    Seams the extra 1200wh are eaten by wheel size of 22inch, just my uneducated guess :-)
    Other than that i also got a lot cravings to get a 4800wh Pro , haha, but in the end the price pushes me away also. In my view these 4-5000dollar prieces are not justified AT ALL……..
    Just my 2 cents….
    good video, keep the good things going ❤

    • @ElectricUnicycles
      @ElectricUnicycles  Před rokem +1

      Here I have to fully disagree with you Ulf. Based on all the riding that I'm doing with the Master Pro I get substantially more range than with my 3600wh wheels and I'm moving much faster.
      Also, early on, some of our local Master Pro riders were reporting low battery "percentages" based on crappy apps (Darknessbot) or uncalibrated EUC World. One person thought he had 36% remaining battery but actually had closer to 60%.
      The Master Pro voltage goes down to 96-volts whereas the Master goes to 104-volts.
      So I would question the people reporting low battery levels.
