    If you take the inner tube and tyre off simultaneously it is a good idea to leave the tube inside the tyre. Toss it in the back of your velomobile. At home you can put some air in it. Usually it is very easy to find the leak. As you now know the location of the leak, you can check the tyre in that same location for sharp bits or even a weak spot.

    These videos are very informative, especially for me. I'm waiting to receive my Quattrovelo. So, it's basically like going to school and learning how to make sure to take the best care of my "vehicle". So, that I can start off on the correct path when something does go wrong. In regards to being on the road, and needing to fix something during travel.

    As Jan said “practice changing the tyre helps”. Great video.

      Well it is good to try it at home, Then you know if you brought the right tools, a small matras, some handgloves if it get cold. Otherwise you stand there on the side of the road feeling s*cks

    You made it look so easy, I normally find it quite difficult to put a new tyre on. I guess I just need to get a bit stronger.

      Well most of the time it goes by me like this. Only a couple of years ago when I did not bring handgloves with me in the winter, I had difficulty to get my tire on again. My hands got cold and I lost controll and power over my hands. Luckely I was with a second person and we managed together to get the tire on again.

      Depends on the type of rim and tyre too. Some are really, really, really tight.

      I’m sure most of you know but folding tyres are much easier to remove than the hard wired ones, they can be horrible to remove, especially at 4am in the rain in the morning in winter when all punctures happen! 🤬

    Any concerns about bending or breaking the side mounted mirrors when resting the velomobile on its side?

    • @VelomobileWorld
      @VelomobileWorld  Před 4 měsíci

      You have to check indeed how you put your bike on the side

    It is easier to replace the tube with the wheel installed on the velomobile?

    • @VelomobileWorld
      @VelomobileWorld  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes I would not build out the wheel for changing the tubes

    • @RazzFazz-Race
      @RazzFazz-Race Před 2 lety

      Is is faster, because you need not to search the thing which punched the hole. and the chance to put dirt with the tube into the tire is much less..

    Beste Jan, dank voor de film. Mijn grootste probleem is t zand dart zich ophoopt in de wielkasten. Je wilt dat zand niet op of bij je binnenland hebben met terugzetten. Hoe ga je hiermee om.
    Alvast bedankt voor je reactie

    Have a recumbent trike, that totally put me off getting a velomobile.
