    If you play Pickleball and are looking for a paddle check out the NEW KoBo paddles by clicking on this link davek.kobopickleball.com/ which will take you to their website.
    I have had the opportunity to try these paddles and have had the privilege of meeting and playing with the owner of KOBO and his wife who actually designed these paddles from the ground up and worked with a manufacturing plant to produce them. They are all in and committed to hitting the ground running and I am pretty darn certain you will be seeing these paddles across the country very very soon.
    And in return if you click on the link above and happen to make a purchase, we will get a small reward which in turn will help our channel. Feel free to share that link with others.
    At this point I will also be doing demo days at Pickleball courts as we travel. Hey we like the product and love the story of a small family-owned company starting a new journey and we hope you do to.

    I have a 3500 SRW that I changed gears to 4:11. Now I get about 10 with my 14K trailer. Now that transmission does less gear searching and pulls way better on these small Southeastern hills. I feel your pain at the pumps.

    So I’m watching this today 09/02/22 and I thought I just share from my experience. I have a 2020 5500 single cab with a sleeper. I transport cars with a 5 car mini 5 Kaufman trailer. I drove from Tallahassee Fl to Houston Tx and my load was about 14k lbs and my trailer weighs about 9500 lbs so my total haul weight was 23500 lbs. I averaged 9.3 with average speed of 70mph. I got my truck brand new and today I have almost 41k miles and all I can say is so far so fckn great!!

    Got to love the Ram Trucks. I have a high output 6.7 Cummins tuned and straight piped and also tow a RV, but not a full timer by any means. I am only pulling about 10,000 lbs with my RV so I see 12-14mpg sometimes a little more if on the highway a lot, but mostly we are on backroads doing local camping. I do pull a deckover gooseneck with heavy equipment on it that will get to about 25k at times, but usually not far enough at once to really judge the fuel mileage

    You are lucky in California running at 70 big tickets. I have a 2021 3500 single rear wheel. I pull a 9000 fifth wheel and get 13 mpg and Def about 10 miles per gallon. Truck weights is 8660 with me .I use all 6 gears at 60 miles per gallon .I have been driving ram trucks for 34 years and my 1989 12 valve was awesome , my 03 ram junk, my 2021 ram 370 horse power 850 torque awesome Truck. I also pull a 19000 lb dump and it does it's job well. In my opinion ram is the best built big rig pickup. It's not how much you can pull it's how much you can stop. When you get in the 26000 lb weight the is air brake country. Disconnect your trailer cord and try to stop that big load with just the truck brakes at 45 miles per hour and don't use your exhaust brake. You have just simulated an electric brake and torque converter failure. Good luck on your journey. Denis

    I have been searching for a truck myself and came across your channel. Love your content and information, you got a new subscriber. I have been researching the RAM cab and chassis and comparing HP and torque against the pickup versions. I am assuming, and wondering if you can confirm, that the trucks like yours being built by Classy Chassis, Luxe, and Utility Body Works are using the same engine and transmission offerings that are in any other RAM cab and chassis trucks. Meaning they are using the “de-rated” engine/transmission combinations (when compared to the RAM pickup truck horsepower and torque numbers) and that they are not using the engines and transmissions tuned to deliver the HP and torque numbers found in the pickups. It is my understanding at this point that the cab and chassis trucks are using the same HO engine and transmission as the most powerful RAM pickup combination but they are just tuned differently from the factory resulting in more linear power and torque curves than what is found in the pickup versions. I have watched most of your videos at this point including the several where you show your drive over the passes in Colorado and through Kansas. If your engine, transmission, and axle ratio can haul your setup that successfully with the “de-rated” Cummins and Aisin with 4.88’s then I know it will be ok with my 16k setup. I am not looking for 4.88’s since my weight is considerably lower. I am looking at getting a micro version of what you have for this phase my wife and I are in, something like the C/C 3500 and fitting it with a flatbed. We primarily boondock with no intention of visiting campgrounds on a regular basis. Given the terrain we have encountered during our first six months and the height if new truck beds and bed rails I see a huge advantage in using a tow vehicle with a lower profile providing more space between the camper and something that will damage it (bed rails).

      @daveanddianethrowingcautio5707  Před 2 lety

      Hi Phillip, thanks for stopping in. Yes, the engine in the 5500 with the Classy Chassis Hauler Body is the same engine that comes in the 5500 from the factory. In other words they ARE the detuned engine. There is no doubt in my mind that this truck would not even know that your 16K 5th wheek was hooked up when running down the road.

    • @geraldkoth654
      @geraldkoth654 Před 2 lety +1

      With a heavy load like that, you will not see much difference in mileage. You will see a big difference in acceleration. At speed the engine is going to have to put out a certain amount of power, that will take a certain amount of fuel. There is no free lunch. Light weight you can then see some difference.

    @BBBYpsi Před 2 lety

    Mximum towing capacity for this truck is 34,200 lbs. Also you would legally need a CDL to haul this because you exceed over 26,000 lbs. I think you are saying the GVWR of the 5th wheel is 24,000 lbs not the actual dry weight. 40 foot means the 4th wheel is actually probably 45 foot because the model will say 40 feet but this does not include the front cap & legally by DOT regulations that front cap would get counted.

Of course we did a lot more to the truck on top of the bed that pushed our additions to over $30K over the truck price. There are 14 states that don't have an exemption for RVs and the state that I am in (Maryland) is one of them. We have a 42' class A (55,000 lbs) and I need a CDL as long as it is tagged in Maryland. I went class A CDL which lets me tow trailers over 10,000 lbs.

    What's the payload on your truck?

      the rear gross axle (GAWR) rating is 13,500 and our rear axle weight is 7520lbs without our 5th wheelk hooked up if that helps. Is that what you are asking or are you asking how much trailer youi can haul?.

      @@daveanddianethrowingcautio5707 I guess I'm asking, what is the GVWR of the truck? And if you weigh it, what's the difference (GVWR - actual weight = X)? That will give you the amount of weight the truck can hold - the payload.

    2150 rpms seem way to high. Every cummins that's out of its powerband.. now your trading fuel burn for horsepower while torque falls off. 1850-1900 rpms is perfect for a cummins towing mileage would improve into 10-11 with the ,4.88

      @@daveanddianethrowingcautio5707 gross means truck and trailer combined, not just trailer. You are in the low to mid 30s most likely. I’m pretty sure nationwide anyone over 26k gross needs a cdl.

      Totaled my truck. Had a cab chassis chevy duramax 3500. Weight was 11,200lbs. (Made it 31,000 Total) Most of what I haul for work is 10,000 or less. But my 5th wheel is 21,000 . Legally, "I think" I'm ok. I live in north Carolina and campers are recreational and therefore exempt from weight ratings.
      Looking at a chevy 4500 or 5500 should weight about the same as my old truck

    Don't you need a commercial license once you gross over 26,001lbs ?

    Of course you aren't gonna get mileage at 70mph and 2150rpm
