Got my private pilots license in 1988, this video brought back pleasant memories of the anxiety you’re feeling when discovering new techniques and the feeling of accomplishment when you master them.
I still remember my first solo when I was a senior in high school.
Built my own experimental airplane in 1998-2001. That first flight in an airplane that you build yourself is also a “never forget” memory.
Keep up the good work, it’ll be more than worth it!
Wow, very glad it brought back good memories.
And even more impressive that you built an experimental! One day we will build one on this channel!!
I’ve always wanted to fly a plane. Not gonna happen, so I’ll just live vicariously through you
Sounds like motivation for me to post more flying!
Good luck on flight lesson!... Name your Mustang Pegasus.
Thats not a bad idea
This was friggen cool. I wish I had my youth back and the bucks I used to make to obtain my pilots license.
I used to play around with Microsoft Flight Simulator.......I enjoyed that.
By all means keep shooting us these vids..........and everything else you do.
Alright Angel! Congrats on your voyage to getting your private pilots license. The thing about flying that the average person doesn't realize is that not everyone can become a pilot. It takes discipline, control, and a continuing desire to hone their skills. Much like a good car mechanic, a good pilot never stops learning, training and improving. Would love to see more aviation videos.
And lots of disposable cash...
Great comment, its definitely not cheap lol
Angel, pretty cool! So now you're a "Flying Food Cake"!?!
Looks like so much fun! Best of luck!
I guess youd be right!
Loved the flying content! I was a radar technician (ILS and radios too) for 7 years and worked very closely with ATC. The radio chatter was such a sweet sound to me haha.
That is SO sick! You and me both on the radio chatter
Nice job brother, don't forget...RIGHT RUDDER!!! I'm a rookie pilot as well, everything done except for checkride. Had to put on hold last year and now I'm restoring my 65 mustang!! Let's see some landings!! Spread it like butter
Haha were the same person lol, i have a video recorded but heavy crosswinds with some bad landings… hesitant to post lol😂
When I’m recording with my GoPro 7, I connect a 30,000mAh portable battery pack and it will record for hours.
Great idea!
Someday I'll have to tell you my Aviation story :)
Id love to hear it👍🏻
Great training session, RP! There are plenty of humbling moments during the learning phase. Looks like you handled them well!
Love the terrain there. So different from here..
Landing are like welding I’ve noticed!!! Sometimes its buttery smooth and other days i “butcher the f*ck out if it” 😂😂
@@rookie__pilot Just remember the most important rule.. keep the number of landings equal to the number of take-offs.
Damn wow Angel my palms were sweating lol. But cool video
Lol thanks!
I had to take a Xanax just watching this. Good job Rookie Pilot!!!
WHAT 😂😂
Exciting ! Really enjoyed it.
To cool man!
That was cool!!
Job well done! Something different to watch.
Good job! Flying not for me. I don`t have wings.
Bro!! That was awesome
I've always wanted to get the private pilot's license, but that's just 15 grand I've never been able to justify. Maybe one day!
Definitely not cheap, im only picking at it slowly
@@rookie__pilotI'm just glad for you that you're actually going through with it. Slowly is fine, as long as you don't forget everything inbetween sessions, which I'm certain I would. 😅
Are you sure you want us to judge your landings? Just kidding looks like you can fly pretty good. Nice break from the norm. Some practice and you’ll be able to do those maneuvers in your sleep. Stay cool
Excited for you. 👍
Can anyone name the movie this quote is from?
"I remember when you were a snot-nosed rookie pilot"
Only the best movie ever
@@rookie__pilot Yes
Demolition Man is a fantastic movie.
It possibly has the best(coolest) 😅 villain death on film.
Which GoPro's are you using to capture these videos? Reason being that A: For longer flights, I always stop and start the camera's (the benefit of having a camera person on board). B: I'll be testing a new battery pack this week for the "Hero 10" and seeing if it works with the 11 and 12. It promises nearly 4hrs in 4K. It attaches to the camera itself, so not a powerbank with cable option. So in this use case (mounted inside the aircraft) it may be worth the investment. I'll post the results after I get to test it.
Using a gopro session 5 for the wing facing cam, and a gopro hero 11 for the cockpit cam! I have a spare battery but i cant really change it out midflight during a lesson. So please let me know if that battery pack works for you!
Somehow you'll have to build a fly-able Mustang airplane (not like the WW2 one, though that plane was pretty awesome!). 😅
With a 4 spd!
How hard could that be?
What could go wrong?! 😊
I think you might be on to something…
Great video.
That was cool thanks 🙂👍
👊👍
🤘🏼✌🏼
Nice job. Join EAA if are not already and then build a bird on your channel
Build an experimental? I like the idea
@@rookie__pilot suggest an RV type several different ones you could do with you skill set
@@p.d.nickthielen6600 an RV would be SICK. Theres a couple we see in the pattern, always been a fan
😎🍺👍🇦🇺

AFC where are you going to fly to on your first solo flight ?
Most likely Marana Airport!
