    Comparatively speaking, they did very well. These 3 lads probably have a full-time job, and to match AJ's weight (again comparatively) is commendable. On a side note, I think people who work full time shouldn't compare themselves to athletes; it's the athlete's job to be in tip-top shape. You cannot, and should not, compare yourself to a boxer, footballer, rugby player etc; it's ttheir job to be as fit as possible, and they have access to the best nutrition, recovery methods, equipment. To come anywhere close to their stats is, as I said, hugely commendable.

      @MrTimmywizzle Před 6 lety +38

      Well it depends what you specialise in. Those athletes are all very sports specific. A powerlifter would rinse AJ, a decent higher end club runner would rinse 99% of premier league footballers etc. And that's to be expected. There's only so much you can recover from, and pro athletes spend most of their time training their sport's specific skills. These lads lb for lb actually beat AJ in a fair few lifts. Plus theirs a bit of technical skill in a lot of those drills.

      Very very well said. Society puts a lot of pressure on people and makes them feel bad about not looking or being a certain way. What you just did is put things into perspective. Give me money to work out and I'll fucking be like AJ too, let's see AJ be himself with a full time job on the side, the fucker would flake.

      Hench Crustacean lol you sound pretty upset considering I just made a joke about him not being natty. The guy is 40 years old and is way bigger than most 20 year olds. Do you realise how much test drops when you're 40 relative to when you're 18-20? Why WOULDNT a guy who's brand is based on his aesthetics/size take an easy as fuck to get/take drug that works wonders for staying lean and maintaining/building mass. He's not even a pro athlete so there is no drug tests he has to do so there is no reason why someone trying to sell product marketed from his aesthetics wouldn't take low TRT style steroid dosages. And your point about him being light is pretty silly considering from what you wrote about yourself you are educated in physiology- muscle mass isn't just based on height weight and body fat- people have completely different bone structures which can mean they can be light like Jeff and still huge. Oh and no I'm not a fat cunt Im around 5-8% bodyfat as im an endurance athlete.

      Jake Russel - Have you noticed how when I bombarded you with facts and legitimate statements explaining how Jeff falls quite comfortable into the natural zone, with reason and evidence to show this, you reply with 'hahahaha's' and say I'm deluded.
      It's quite clear your knowledge is lacking on the subject at hand and you really do not have a clue what you are talking about, especially to somebody who is actually qualified in this subject and holds degrees in sports science.
      I gave you nothing but my opinion backed up with facts, that you can quite capably (I think) research yourself. You can check Jeff's FFMI, you can run checks against his wrist measurements vs his height vs his overall body weight vs his body fat percentage vs his LBM then use his race (Caucasian) and his sex (male) to work out if it is genetically possible to achieve what he has, naturally. And guess what... it works out in jeffs favour.
      Now for the funny part.
      You have no legitimate comeback and you'll either
      A: Get super cocky, arrogant and turn into a dickhead spouting smart remarks, name calling me, pulling on my intelligence or some other form of 'shit I've been set straight I actual realise I am now wrong, I'll just be a cunt instead of admitting I was wrong' bullshit.
      Or..
      B: You'll not reply at all for fear of looking like a cunt because I've made a perfectly clear case supporting Jeff being natural/ realise your wrong and not want to admit you are so say nothing.
      Take none of this personal, I do not care for people who can't understand reason.

    AJ can stop Parker by the 11th. He's in for a long night but if he's conditioned like this, he will be able to go to the 11th in good shape. I think Parker is going to try and take him out early like the 6th but AJ will move and know when to time his punches and movements accordingly. One of them is going to be marching to each other's tune in every round but I think AJ will rise the victor in the championship rounds.

    I used to move people's houses as a job years ago and th company would sometimes hire labourers to help out on busy days. A lot of the guys we would get were gym goers and would come in all macho with their big muscles. They would get offended that we tell them to only carry boxes or the small items. But anyone in that industry knows you start all the new guys off with the small shit and as you see how they can handle it then you gradually work them up. If you haven't done that job before then you will find it's not easy in the beginning. Your body needs to adjust and it takes time. But most of the guys that came through did weights and always took offence to the instructions. Especially when the rest of us who were smaller guys were carrying big items.
    One guy was so determined to prove himself he didn't listen and decided to carry a Fridge on his own, without any technique or knowledge on how to do it safely. It was too heavy for him and he lost control and broke it.
    I did many labouring jobs from my mid to late teens up to my mid 20's so i built a pretty sturdy body because of it. Your body adjusts to the demands of the work load and when you keep doing it, it gets strong.
    Body Builders don't have the same kind of strength. The exercises they do are designed to increase muscle mass and are done mainly in a linear plane of motion. That has no proper function in real life movements, some of it does but not all of it.
    The guys in this video shouldn't be surprised at the results. Body Builders are strong in the gym and that's it. Anything outside of that is a whole new game.

    bad idea, fueling all that muscle drains his stamina in the ring but if he loses it at this stage of his life he will feel drained for years...it will catch up to him eventually.

    Most of these comments are crazy, don’t take shit so serious. This is just for a laugh.. people are missing the point. Yes if they trained for 6 months it would be easier, but it’s all about taking 3 lads out of the normal routine in a gym and trying AJs workout. Watch and in joy.

    AJ can lift and lift, it matters how good you take a punch, when you get to top level boxing. AJ is like an enhanced Frank Bruno, will he be able to take full on right and left hooks, like Muhammad Ali, Larry Holmes and Evander Holyfield at there peak. Or is AJ going to be a Lennox Lewis, Mike Tyson can dish it out but when they meet someone with Iron will who can punch back, will he survive. Its boxing not Bodybuilding. These current boxers are fortunate they don't fight over 15 rounds like they use to, l think they should still fight over 15 rounds if its for all 4 belts WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO.

    Didn't see AJ squat 190kg. Don't see how it would benefit him to lift that much as a boxer. Frankly, I can't think of any boxer that could squat really heavy weight and if there's no evidence, I don't believe it. AJ's squatting, if he does any, would be with a lighter load for lots of reps to develop endurance.
    Also, at AJ's weight, 190kg is not heavy for someone who lifts weights. A serious lifter would lift approx 230kg drug free and 300kg-400kg if they hit 'the sauce.'

    Those guys aren't bad at all. I doubt Anthony can squat 190kg with good depth. How many guys do you know who do the trap bar deadlift and also squat 190kg? The guys that I know who squat 190kg do the real deadlift and don't mess around with bullshit like the trap bar... I always chuckle when the media presents boxers' s&c workouts as some difficult stuff. The people in athletics (track & field, weightlifting, throwing etc.) really are freaks and their workouts are obscene. Wrestlers, judoka and other grapplers also. I've never met a grappler who wasn't a pristine lifter as well. But boxing is more of a skill sport and strength/conditioning are not so important IMO.

    • @robertkalvinsky2181
      @robertkalvinsky2181 Před 6 lety

      i do agree that he probably doesnt squat 190 kg full depth but i disagree that all the grapplers or wrestlers are very good at lifting weights. just look at khabib nurmagomedov or daniel cormier...khabib squats roughly around his bodyweight if not less than that and cormier squats around 120 kg above parallel. they are both ragdolling people in their weigh class. but it is true that MMA is not really a pure grappling/wrestling sport so that might be difference why they do get away with little weightlifting.

    A 200kg trap bar deadlift is nothing special, come on guys. Especially not with the high handles and when it's performed by a lifelong fighter who is also on dat-dere supplements. CZcamsrs Omar Isuf and Nick Wright can perform a REAL deadlift, which is a million times harder than a trap bar deadlift, with 280kg+. The lads in this video are strong as shit.

    • @dickpiano1802
      @dickpiano1802 Před 6 lety +2

      You are a new breed of silly. Deadlifts are extremely important for many sports. Search for "Joachim Olsen Training" here on CZcams. He is an Olympic medalist shot putter who can deadlift 320kg for reps. Or search for "Ilir Latifi deadlift". Wrestling and MMA top contender who can deadlift 280kg. Or look for some training videos of Robert Foerstemann. Olympic champion in sprint cycling who can squat and deadlift hundreds of kilos. I could go on.
