    Maybe it’s my fault.
Maybe I led you to believe it was easy,
    When it wasn’t.
Maybe I made you think my highlights started at the free throw line,
    And not in the gym.
Maybe I made you think that every shot I took was a game winner.
That my game was built on flash, and not fire.
Maybe it’s my fault that you didn’t see that failure gave me strength,
That my pain was my motivation.
Maybe I led you to believe that basketball was a God given gift,
And not something I worked for,
Every single day of my life.

The best example of what that would look like is Lebron James... his training/diet is all cutting edge, way ahead of the curve. If we dropped prime MJ into the NBA today and had him training like LBJ, he'd SHATTER every single record in the league.

michaels build always looked pretty natural for the muscle he put on. some nba guys and athletes in general just train in bad and unnatural ways and the muscle they put on isnt as effective and they start to move unnaturally and slower. not saying training for bulk is inherently bad for everyone, but for most athletes it's much more about function and range of effective motion than bulk and you can tell the difference between the ones who focus on one or the other pretty easily in a game like basketball if you pay attention.
