One small detail nobody seems to notice that i love is how angel dust comes into the hotel openly complaining about his work. It shows hes dropping the facade with everyone, just like husk wanted him to. Before, he only dropped it with cherri and, after episode 4, husk
O shit you’re so right! I didn’t even think of that!

Also, no more heavy flirting with Husk or the hotel’s residents. Outside people are fair game thought.

That's such a good detail!!!! Good catch
Notice how Emily calls the sinners "people" and "innocent people", while Sera calls them demons.
I hope Charlie realises that not everyone needs to be saved because lets be real some down there deserve to be in hell for the acts they committed on earth, while I want her to still try to save some I want her to also understand not everyone can or will change
@@riddlerosehearts8277 I think she knows that but she just wants to get the Plan of Redemption for sinners going

If you look closely, Emily wasn't the only Angel horrified by the knowledge of the exterminations. ALL of the Angels present in the council were horrified. Sera didn't come up with the exterminations, Adam came up with the idea and got Sera's approval to condone them even though she didn't enjoy giving the greenlight, and at the very least, does not take joy in them, unlike Adam does
"If Hell is forever Heaven must be a lie". Hits just different ❤
Scenes like that are why this show and its music have me in a chokehold. It’s soooo goood!
So true, Even though the vocals are performed by the same VA the harmonizing between Charlie and Emily is just golden!
@@TheCommenterDragon I'm pretty sure Charlie and Emily have different voice actresses
Literally, the best line! Just throwing what Adam and Lute said right back into their smug faces!

I think Niffty could take Valentino. Give her a needle made out of an exorcist's spear and tell her, "Go get that big bug."
I would love to see that happen.
@@tnevy511 This bug is bigger so I don't think she'd miss him.
I mean, the girl kills bugs as a hobby/living, so yeah. She stomps Valentino like the bug he is.
And then she can change her secret to "sometimes I kill bug overlords in front of their followers and partners!"
(Arrows appears over angel labeled "Bug Boy")
1 thing I really like about Angel standing up to Val is that everyone in the club saw it, which reminds me of what Vox said in ep2 ("Do you want people thinking you can't control your employees?").
That completely shattered look on Charlie's face when she learned Vaggie's secret completely broke me. She didn't say anything, but you can tell her entire world came crashing down...
I doubt she's actually bothered vaggie is an angel though. I think it's more the fact that she is realizing vaggie has lied to her for as long as she's known her

I laughed so hard at that part. Lol
14:40 OMG I just got why she burst into tears when he called her the mess... Cause she hates messes! So freaking obvious and I only just got it. XD
Sera did not start the extermination exactly, the one who gave the idea was Adam and he asked Sera for authorization to do it, to obtain the authorization he told her that hell could reveal itself against heaven. Sera genuinely believed in Adam and therefore sees extermination as a necessity while Adam only sees it as entertainment.
It's hell though, have you seen like 95% of the what the sinners do?
@@Jest-Pumpkidding It is very easy to imagine why Sera thinks that a rebellion is possible, especially considering that there are already sinners who want to reveal themselves and that they have already killed an angel.
You are one of the few people that get it
@@xXEl_Mata_Furros_Xx and it will happen thanks to the extermination which ironically was suppose to prevent it 🙂. I have an idea what is going to happen and it won’t be good for anyone
Though it is HEAVILY implied theirs SOMETHING Sera knows and isent saying.
I love when Angel was like "you want to play with the kitty" and most viewers thought he meant Kiki or something but instead it turned out he meant Husk. lmao
Was really cute!
I also didn't see that coming, lol
The little hints that Vaggie was part of the angel army given her trust exercises and demanding demeanor really make sense now….
Can we take a moment to appreciate how much Angel Dust has grown as a person? The way he protects Niffty and stood up to Val. He's come a long way from his pilot self. I'm proud of our Spider boy. Also, the way Charlie and Emily reprise the refrain of "Hell Is Forever." With new lyrics that call out Sera and Adam's hypocrisy is just glorious. "You Didn't Know" as a whole is amazing, but that part hit's especially hard.
Yes! We all support our Spider boy.
Indeed, obviously angel is not on the 0ath to redemption, but he's working towards it, really slowly
He hasn’t grown a lot since vivienne decided to rush the damn show for some reason
@S0urmf420 you mean because Amazon only gave them 8 episodes for season 1? The pacing issues aren't her fault. Also, angel has grown a lot. We just haven't seen it actually develop. So you saying he hasn't grown is false
@@xmant8842 whats the point of making a character go through rehab basically if we can’t see his progress? That’s stupid especially if viv wants us to feel empathy for angel which i do not, the only growth ive see was from this episode and this episode alone. And aw amazon gave viv only 8 episodes? It’s almost like there’s gonna be more seasons of this show so what’s the rush?
Em: Wait, our justice system is a coin flip between free of charge and death sentence?
Sera: Always has been
One thing I *adore* about the "make the wretched suffer just to kill them again" line is that it's like... It's not just pointing out that the killing is cruel. It's pointing out that the whole thing is messed up, top to bottom. Because what's the point of sending people who did bad things in life to Hell if their only purpose is to suffer and then die again?
If there's no way for them to learn from their mistakes, to right their wrongs - if all they can do is sit around and wait for oblivion, then what's even the point of Hell, besides to act as a punching bag for Heaven? And if Heaven - a place of supposed goodness and kindness - is allowed to get away with pointless cruelty like that, then what's even the point of Heaven?
For all its shortcomings, man, this show really does HIT sometimes.
Isn't hell meant to be a punishment
“Stick it to the man”
Perfect School of Rock reference from Dewey Finn himself 😂
The twist in this episode helps Vaggie's "Battlefield Trust Exercise" make so much sense.
Yeah because angels can fly.
The way angel comforted nifty. He wouldn't be such a good father if he ever had kids
sadly he wouldnt be able to have kids as sinners are unable to reproduce in this universe, but I do agree he probably could if he adopted!

4:20 Zamber in case you haven’t heard the red and white girl in this shot is Angel’s sister.
I've seen a few people upset that Vaggie's backstory was changed from the pilot, where she was a Salvadoran prostitute who died in 2014, but first of all, lots of things change in a show between a pilot and production, and second, she can still have the same backstory except she went to Heaven and became an Exterminator instead of going straight to Hell. Maybe she died before 2014, and that's just when she wound up in Hell.
Vaggie's situation brings up two questions: why is sparing the life of a child an offense worthy of getting violently cast out of heaven, and more importantly, why are _children_ winding up in Hell in the first place?
Something that occurred to me after watching the episode was that by deciding to attack the Hotel first, it's not just Adam being a petty vindictive dick, they're also destroying the evidence.
Well if you watched Hell of a Boss.... There was that one kid that ended up dragged there by IMP in the pilot.... Then there is also a good chance that the children from Murder Family also ended up in hell after the cops blew up their house....(Being part of a family of mass murdering devil worshiping cannibals...) I don't think "sin" is limited by age....
Vaggie evidently wasn't "cast out" under normal circumstances, it just looks like she was violently betrayed by her fellow angels and Adam + Lute covered it up.
The fact they have that power and got away with it shows there's corruption and bias in Heaven.
The fact she spared a sinner child was the reason
to the exterminators, sparing a wretched from death is treason
The prostitute stuff was just a theory though. And to be fair not all children are good people
@@tobsonasanya4765like that kid from The Good Son?
The single issue with Hazbin Hotel so far is that the show is WAY too short. Like, Amazon giving only 8 episodes for the 1st season of a story this ambitious is crazy. This episode should have been like the penultimate episode in a 24 episode season, but because of big boy Bezos this is episode 6 of 8. I really hope season 2 is given more than 8 episodes, because the show really needs it.
I feel like 16 episodes is enough
Vaggie's part in "Whatever it Takes" hits different
Emily and Charlie make a chillingly beautiful and triumphant duet.
I am SO proud of Angel and this is just the start (P.S Good girl Nifty for hurting that rat only for a little) and Awesome Cherri's debut!
Plus Vaggie an Angel? GASP wait why am I gasping? Me and half the fandom knew this since the pilot era
I love how the heavenly trial reflects the first news interview from the pilot. Except, this time the live feed of Angel actually helps their cause.
It’s actually very interesting that the angels don’t know what gets someone into Heaven, because we learn in episode one that Hell was created when Eve ate the Apple. Hell was never part of their plan, all the human souls were supposed to go to Heaven. So no one knows what is technically dragging them down to hell and stopping them from going to heaven.
We also see Sera in the intro cutscene so she helped create Adam Lilith and Eve, so she is mega old. So when she says there is no evidence of redemption, to her if Angel was redeemed he should have just spawned in Heaven.
4:16, 4:20, 5:09 - I was shocked and happy to see Molly make her debut. It's so sweet and I hope her and Anthony (AKA Angel Dust) meet up someday. It'll be so sweet for siblings to meet. And then Angel will tell about his mobster family .
Angel Dust Sister!!
Ik I was so happy 😁
Indeed, I hope Angel and Molly meet up in the near future, like next season.
I wonder if “winners” can come down to hell without falling, and if Molly might head down there to find him.
Imagine Adam dissing Angel in front of her and telling them about what happened in this episode. Molly hears this and gets angry, until she yells at him, telling Adam that he is her twin brother.
Either Adam would laugh it off by insulting him again, or, he will realize that he messed up and acts awkward and tries to leave the scene.
Glad to see Zamber had the common reaction of screaming when Cherri’s silhouette appeared.
I SUPER LOVE Cherribomb being a raging aussie
Angel being as protective of Nifty as all of us, honestly.
Valentino getting his comeuppance is going to be my favorite episode when it comes out. They've handled these characters SO FCKN WELL so far, I swear
Valentino being neutered would've been comeuppance but this is a good first step.
Yeah there's way too much destruction of the hotel's walls XD maybe a certain imp crew can recommend a good insurance lol
"The F@&,s insurance?!" 😂
They just got Moxxie to fix it
Vivienne Medrano hates walls confirmed
Episode 6 is one of my all time favorite episodes so far! I especially loved the new characters like Emily she's so adorable and pure, And as usual the songs are absolute bangers I swear there hasn't been a single song in HH yet that doesn't sound jaw dropping amazing!
It was also interesting to see what more of Heaven looked like in the Hellverse.
I think Sera genuinely believes she's doing the right thing. She has no idea what gets people into Heaven, but Heaven's protection is her ultimate duty. If something (or someone) convinced her that annual extermination would secure Heaven's future, that WOULD be the most difficult decision she's ever had to make. And she's completely removed from Hell's politics, as well, so she can only really guess their motives. As we've seen from Velvette, though... the demons definitely consider turnabout fair play.
8:20. They’re wearing their pilot outfits.
Finally someone else who didn't predict the twist. I'm not alone anymore!!! Lol
Wasn't "sticking it to the man" what got Lucifer and Lilith sent to hell.
Yeah, Adam was just bullshiting all that to not look stupid
It was probably just a reference to Alex Brightman's role as Dewey in School of Rock 😂
I wish that we were able to see Angel's/Anthony's progress throughout the 6 months before extermination, because it's clear that he's grown to trust and care for the others in the hotel so much since the previous episodes. I love him so much!
True that, they say 6 months but it only feels like a week has gone by XD.
At least he got to HAVE progress and we got to see it tho! They still made time for it
Everybody was amazing in the "You Didn't Know" song! But Jessica Vosk as Lute(the angel with Adam) had the best part in the song! The way she came in was amazing even though she was saying some mean stuff!👏🏾❤
It takes a great actor to make a character be as fun to hate as Lute is. (And her singing is incredible)
I mean she was Elphaba, that role takes some pipes!
Fun fact: During the song Welcome to Heaven there's an angel that looks like a female Angel Dust. That's his sister Molly!
I think we know by now why is Adam so bent on moving the extermination up. It’s all out of spite because his first love Lilith rejected his ways in favor of Lucifer, thus Charlie was born. It’s a total vendetta. I mean, why else would he move up the extermination and start by going after the hotel directly first?
The pink and white character with 4 legs during Peter's song is Molly, Angel Dust's twin sister.

Edit: well shit how did I predict that? Lol
@marissaflynn527 you're right. It would be cool. Honestly, adam wouldn't stand a chance. Lucifer was an angel with power ranging anywhere from seraph to heavenly virtue(he still has enough power in heaven that when he gets involved to call a meeting, sera listens). But honestly, it feels more like they're building up to charlie vs adam. Like, the scene of Adam and demon form charlie when adam said, "Can't wait to come down and exterminate you" honestly seems like obvious "these two are going to fight eventually" vibes.
Honestly, it would be really funny and cool if adam tried to "smite" charlie or lucifer, only for them to be like "yeah, you do know you're not of high enough ranking to kill us, right?" since it's stated only angels of higher ranking could kill charlie or lucifer
@@maggie_knolastname you really did predict it
@@xmant8842lol ikr
The wiki said that Vaggie was a fallen angel in the early days of the pilot and I took it at face value. I hadn't considered the possibility she was an exorcist though.
Charlie is all about redemption. I assume they will just hit a ruff patch for a while but she will forgive her and they will get back together.
I wonder how much Sera actually knew about the extermination bit, like did she actually believe the demons were uprising? Did Adam somehow trick her?
I get the feeping Sera is thinking about a long term problem because it seems more souls go to hell, which ultimately makes them stronger.
I think rising number of souls make Roo more powerful and that's why extermination needs to be done.
Maybe Adam was lying about an “uprising” just to get revenge on Lilith for leaving him?
OMG ANGEL'S SISTER!!! 4:19
molly i saw her too
Sera doesn’t want Lucifer’s fate for Emily, but what she either can’t or won’t consider is neither he or the others are bad people. They just had bad luck
I was more surprised about the exterminators masks because I genuinely thought that was their actual Faces
That makes me think, what does Adam look like?
@@ArmiGirl90 I was going to say I think that's Adam's actual face since the mouth moves and such since it's so expressive but now thinking about it didn't the exterminator also have unique and strong expressions while wearing the mask so you might be onto something actually
@@geezy8689 Very curious to find out
Theres a book written about a boy in a world forced to be punished and people leaving the utopia because they'd rather not live in a "perfect" world if their joy comes from a single persons suffering. I think Emily will be that character.
Oh damn, can you share the title of that book please?
@@HisMajestyTheQween I think it's The Giver by Lois Lowry. It's been a while since I read it. The song in this episode reminds me of it, though.

I just wanted to point out that whenever that angel said they’re all hot the girl in the corner bottom right who is just sitting there with a blonde hair is angel dust sister, his twin sister
Fun fact: in the last frame of "Welcome to Heaven" theres a girl in red sitting in the bottom right, that is angel dust's twin sister, Molly.
You can actually see Angeldust's sister, Molly, in the group when Saint Peter says, "Everyone is hot."
Lol why is every reactor like "Oh Vaggie was a mass murderer? I don't even understand why Charlie would be upset."
I think everyone is going by the fact that Charlie's from Hell and used to that sort of thing. There's also the fact that her entire thing is wanting to help people get past their not-so-happy histories and be better people. Vaggie already *did* that on her own. I feel that Charlie's biggerissue is less the mass murder and more the "keeping secrets" part.
Plenty of demons are too and Charlie is fine with them
@@brll5733 Yeah that's also kind of fucked up ain't it...
I do feel that everyone is quick to incriminate Sera, but heres what i see. A leader, concerned about the safety of her people while knowing that Hell grows in population every day gets presented an idea by the first human soul in heaven. To travel down to their dark counterpart, and cull the population to prevent an uprising. She reluctantly agrees, only wanting to keep her home and her people safe. It's like she told Adam. I believe thatw as the truth. Theres no need to put up a facade in front of him, she clearly knows she finds it fun, so hiding any sinister reasoning wouldn't make any sense.
I kinda knew vaggie was an executioner since I saw the pilot episode shortly after release due to the fact that x was over her eye (yes I know it's cause her eye was cut out, but the fact that some of the executioners had an x over their eye's made me wonder, also the fact that vaggie carried a spear kinda tipped me off as well after seeing the others using spears like her-
The big cataclysmic hell is forever reprise goes so HARD!

I’m so proud of Angel Dust in this episode.
I honestly don't think Sera is as bad(so far) as people make her to be
She's a leader and leaders sometimes have to sacrifice others to keep their people safe, not like that's the most virtuous thing to do, especially in heaven, but I still can understand when she's coming from
Especially considering the fact that she thinks if any angels start to question anything they'll get casted down to their misery just like Lucifer
its interesting that angels can fall while demons can not rise, seems a little unfair. :)

When you realize That Adam and lute ,It is vaggy who they're asking how she got here , Not Charlie
Seeing Emily and next to each other has me thinking “Oh boy, now there are two of them.”
I have a theory god has been absent doing something else and left sera in charge for a bit till he's done. And he has no idea what chaos is going on.
Did anybody else get pissed off when Lute called Angel a crack whore? I mean, I know he's been called that before and even called worse, but you expect that kinda attitude in Hell. But here in heaven where everyone is supposed to be kinder and more more compassionate, it really rubbed me the wrong way someone said something so vilely crass about an individual that's trying to be better.
Lute is very likely a human soul who passed ehatever qualification that allows a soul to ascend. She comes off as being far too vicious to be born in the heavens.
All Exorcists are human souls, female descendants of Adam.@@SnowyWolborg
I hope that Emily helps sort out the entry system to Heaven. Maybe even have her and Charlie work together for rehabilitation. I’d love to see that.
I think there is a higher power that is causing Sarah to be the face of evil in heaven. I think the reveal will happen at the finale of this season with possibly an appearance of Charlie's mom and maybe what Alistar have been up to
I want them to show up at the hotel and Lucifer just pop up. "Lemme remind y'all why I was the highest of all angels."
I always love that there is no prove of Hell rising against Heaven. I bet this all started just because Lilith left Adam and he is petty.
