you need to use a wad of paper/tissue in-between the cannon ball and powder it will create a better seal and more power.
Hey Kyle, I recommend you to put a small piece of cloth in side the barrel before putting in the Metal BB because it will keep the barrel clean and also this method has been using in old guns such as flintlock pistol and old revolvers which requires loading of gunpowder. I hope this helped you.

that is not a cannon, that is a howitzer.
Try not to pack the powder too tight, it need space in between the grains to burn properly. Also, try using a paper towel wad. You'll get higher pressure and velocity. Don't use flash powder, it can easily turn that cannon into a grenade.
What type of powder best for this stuff sir?
Humanitys old-school black powder! It burns a little slower, so hardly any chance it could explode the cannon.
Flash powder is very dangerous. A half gram could take your finger off!
@@yogipreneurable black powder. If you get it in grains i would crunch it up till it becomes more powdery for a faster burning rate and more pressure

I had a 25mm Bushmaster cannon mounted on my gun deck that I got to shoot often,but I still enjoy stuff like this. And remember,It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt,then it's just fun!

You can get the cannon to blast through gallon jugs of water with black powder if you get the wadding right!
I have the .30 Cal version, but I don't think it has superior penetrating power, I think it's all in the wadding

All I can say is putting flash powder in a cannon is never a good idea. Flash powder is very explosive and can ignite dude to friction when packing, also very fast reaction which could lead to a mini pipe bomb
put black powder and wad before the ball

put a little gunpowder then pack it tightly with a wooden push rod then put your fuse then put a little bit more gunpowder on top of it and pack it tightly again. then put your projectile. and do Mount that thing on top of a little tank pretty cool

Try using a piece of white bread between the projectile and the powder. you can also fire it as a blank using only white bread and powder.

Hay inventor719 if you use less powder and seat the pellet further down in the barrel there’ll be more time for pressure to build before the pellet leaves the barrel and you’ll get a more ‘powerful’ shot from less powder. :)

If you put wadding around the "cannon ball" and stuffed it into the barrel, it would eliminate air gaps making a tighter fit and more power.
Be careful it's not too tight, or else it may cause the barrel to fail.
Use a little square piece of aluminum foil before the ball to "pack" the powder. The tighter the powder the better the burn. Faster hotter burns mean more pressure which equates to projectile traveling at higher velocity. Probably would have gone through the can every time. Though the can was a bit too close in my opinion. I realize in doesn't have a great deal of range but 5yds isn't impossible. The can almost gets blown away from air pressure before the projectile had indented the aluminum.
Would have been a wise precaution to secure the cannon base to the table. Not only safer but more convenient for you.

It's a ram rod and using thick cloth as wadding would help to make the lead fly faster and harder as the pressure is caught by the wad
