    You obviously either did not read or understand the instructions. NEVER use smokeless powder or projectiles in a salute cannon. You are a candidate for a Darwin award.

      To be fair, smokeless powder would never work in a cannon, because all the pressure would leak out of the fuse hole. It’s not like he was firing a musket, which would completely seal in the expanding gases, causing it to explode. The fact that he was using flash powder is what was making me nervous.

      @@zeussx2120,,with a primer in a muzzleloader the smokeles powder ignite al in one with a fuse burn slow,,but mixed with bp maby also dangerus 🙄👆🏻 and flashpowder is real dangerus and powerfull 0,2 gram blow fingers apart

    What’s funny is I was looking at that website earlier before I saw your video and this is the cannon I put in my cart for payday.

    Never use modern smokeless powder of any kind in any sort of muzzle loading firearm or salute cannon it can and will blow up

      Mr. Beans. I've been loading Cannon for over 25 years what other propellant would you suggest? Is there any other? I have always used both full black powder and the Charlie Cheapo synthetic smokeless powder

    You need to stop the cannon from moving. Half of the power is being used to move it back

    • @worker2004
      @worker2004 Před 5 lety +4

      No. It's the same. No power is lost when the cannon flies away.

      the same amount of work is applied in every direction the work applied to the cannon would just be distributed into the block of wood/ground or whatever is stopping it

      yes no, that is correct

    • @cadenjritchie
      @cadenjritchie Před 5 lety

      Hulk it is impossible not to lose any of the force, the cannon is acting like a rocket and instead of just shooting nothing out it is shooting a steel ball

      It does work. I'll try to prove it with what I remember from high school physics.
      Claim: Stopping the cannon from moving will make the bullet go faster
      Proof:
      By conservation of energy, we can say that:
      Energy from explosion = Energy of bullet + Energy of cannon
      Note that the energy of bullet may or may not equal to the energy of cannon.
      If we want the bullet to receive all of the energy from explosion, we have to stop the energy from going into the cannon. How do we do that? Well, we know that E = 1/2 m*v^2 (energy = 1/2 * mass * speed * speed), so if speed = 0, then that object has no energy. We can simply do that by fixing the cannon to the ground so that its speed is always 0. Now the cannon has no energy. Our new conservation of energy equation is:
      Energy from explosion = Energy of bullet (because Energy of Cannon = 0)
      Energy of bullet in this case is definitely more than in the previous case when we allow the cannon to move; therefore, the bullet also travel faster. QED.
      By the same argument, you can also say that if you fix the bullet, then the cannon would move very fast in the other direction as well.
      Note that for this to work, the cannon (and the object placed to stop the cannon) must stay perfectly still and does not deform or dent etc., otherwise, there would still be energy transferred to the cannon, but believe me, it will still perform better than not even trying.

      What if the fuse was removed or made alot shorter , what if the part where the fuse burns the fuse was lit near that area
      Thus eliminating the hissing and burning fuse along with the fire time
