Coin from my childhood and I love it. My grandmother used to tape one inside my Xmas and bday cards. I foolishly spent them but hey,I was just a kid.
Y b b ppl
I hit a huge stake mother load today on Eisenhower dollars and Kennedy half dollars .all uncirculated in rolls at the bank today ..I’m gonna be rich from heritage....thanks for all the great info kudos to you .
Thanks for the information I always learn something in your videos !
My favorite modern coin by far is the Eisenhower dollar. I appreciate the education on the 1976's. TY for sharing.
I've gave a boxcar load of the things away in my time, (no exaggerating)
I have never, never will like these dollars. They just don't have any appeal to me i guess.
To each their own Ray. You do not have to like them. More for me and other who do like them. Happy hunting for what you like my friend.
Good information, I just recently bought 145 for face value. I haven't went through them yet but will definitely be looking for the different types.
thanks, with this information I will check my collection.
Hey! I have one of the Type 1-P's! Not a scratch on it; figured it must be around $20, but it's definitely worth sending in!
You've earned my sub lol
Great narration partner! Sure are glad your around! Take care!
Great info. Thanks.
Great info.. Now i know the type 1 and type 2 of each kind.. I got one and its real type 2
Thank you for telling me the info, 1 have 1 type 1 and 2 type 2
Great info Thanks.
My bank teller just sold me at face value 6 of these. 1st in my collection. Great info, thanks! :) GL & HH
Look at the reverse, they contain a ddr
Always great information thank you Shaun!! 🐺🐺
Yes Type 1 has thick blocky letter reverse and were made in the 1975 sets or early 1976.
I love and own Ike dollars. I need to check to see what grade I think it might get. Thanks for the info. ATB & HH
Dont you wish you could go back as a child and keep all the valuable things you got rid of or passed up i wish all the flea markets i went to as a child all the vendors selling coins for nothing i wish i had been a smarter kid.
i have one 1976 no S Eisenhower what should i do with it i could not believe it thanks any advise my brother i been watching you for a while i have a type 2
Good information I have three complete sets of Ike silver dollars from each mint
I love these coins....
I have a Type 1 Philadelphia bicen and four Type 2 Philadelphia bicen! Not graded just reviewing my collection! Cool!
The T in state is downward instead of square and thick. And it's worth good money from a proof or mint set.
Great as usual!!
What is the value on a gold three coin set that came in the US shaped plastic case?
I have one of these dollar coins but my eyes aren't that great. Any way you could help me find out if it's type 1 or type 2?
There are also 1976-S (proof) Type 1's and Type 2's
Thank you
I got a type 1, gold toning, in box authenicated brilliant uncirculated. it cost me 57$.
I have a type 2 to bicentennial Eisenhower coin (Philadelphia mint), is this worth any money
I absolutely love your one in four probability. I literally had four Bicentennial dollars in my hand, clicked on this video, and one of them is a type one. Thanks for the info.
And what if the 1976 proof set Ike has a hairlip? I discovered one with a mint flaw on his lip. Think it has value?
Is a 1976 s proof type1 with cameo something to consider sending to pcgs?
I have a type two d? I think is that worth anything? What I mean by d is the mint mark.
Nice video, bro ❤
Can photos be shared. I have a bicentennial dollar, but need a 2nd identification / Also are you in social media. God Bless~~
What if there isn't any mint mark's (ie. No stamp from Denver, or Philadelphia)??
blu ridge how do i grade this coin i dnt want to get ripped off i have on type 2 no mint mark pretty shiny good shape
are the "P" mints marks more valuable--they are scarce vs "s"
On the type one on the the what if it's got a set of initials FG on the neck of it wouldn't that raise it up to a little bit more or would that cause it can be a a air proof coin or would that be a one about coin cuz I got one
I have the one with thin letters is it worth getting appraised?
Hey there I’m new to coin collecting I’ve got tone’s of old rare and error coins and I’ve got No ideas on who to bring them to if you could possibly give me an idea on whom to bring them (hopefully they won’t be crooks)& appraise or grade them 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
FYI Always go to check you out to see what I can find out your voice is very deep it helps me to concentrate on what you’re saying I’m very much enjoy tuning in if you can give me any advice at all I would so much really appreciate it unless you know people that are willing to buy the coins and I know I would really appreciate it Covid‘s been tough on everybody stay well sanitize thank you
I have one like that, but the bell has no letters, is that different?
I found a 1976S Eisenhower in at MS69 in a air-tight case in the grass in a park about 8 years ago. Is it worth sending to get graded because of the S?
It's more like 1 in 23 is a Type 1.There were only 4,000,000 Type 1's compared to over 110,000,000Type 2's.
A carnival guy was saving them for me long time ago. Nency
Don’t hear to much on the Ike dollars! Thank you 👍
First you said the Philadelphia one with the skinny letters is the valuable one, then you said (at the end) that the Philadelphia with the block letters is the coin to have. Love the vids, but this one confused me a little I must admit
Lol...I have a type 2... Which is more desirable. But what you really want is a type one which is more desirable. So keep a look out for the type to which is more desirable.
PS
Great video.
I have this identical silver dollar , everything matches
You're rich ....rich I tell ya
Thanks
Did you make a video on the difference between the 1972 Clad Types 1, 2 and 3 yet??
I have several Bicentennial sets with the Ike dollar and I gave them a good lookback again. I found about 5 of the Type 1's and 7 plus Type 2's. (alot of numbers there!) They are still in the Mint packaging along with the other coins that came in the sets. Not sure what to do with them at this point. Beautiful coins imo. I grab them whenever I can. Side note....I went to my Bank last week and a guy came in with $90.00 in what I though were all Kennedy Halfs. After searching through them I got a stunning Franklin, several 90% Silver and $41.50 in 40% Silver. Some are in, I think, very close to Uncirculated. Pure luck going into the Bank at that time. Super score!
So the guy came in WHILE you were there? Could you flesh out this story more, like were you in line and he was ahead of you? Were you there to ask for halves? Did they appear to all be rolled by the same person? Was there any apparent rhyme or reason to how they were rolled (like, by date, condition, etc.)? I ask because I'm endlessly intrigued by half-dollar stories (also dollars to some extent). A few days ago a guy on Facebook posted his photo of the INSANE amount of treasure he got in a recent search of halves (I think it was a whole box but can't remember for sure). Anyway it included tons of silver, even Walking Liberty. I'm not a big half-or-dollar searcher (yet), but I definitely have a by-proxy interest in the game. From what I've seen, it can be anything from a giant pain in the butt, to an unimaginable windfall. I've seen whole-box searches turn up no more than a few 40%'s and one or two 90%'s, not at all worth the trouble of getting your bank to order the box, coughing up the $500, and then dumping them at another branch (or whole other bank), which ticks them off. I've seen numerous half-dollar fanatics posting bitter rants about their banks cutting them off, and then tons of people replying how this is an expensive pain for banks, it's not what they're in business for, "people like you are going to ruin the hobby for all of us" etc., and I can see those arguments but I also get the allure, because of stories like yours. Clearly what makes these > quarter coins such an ambiguous gamble is the fact that you almost never receive them as change from stores, they're not used in vending machines, they're so close to pure novelty that you're almost never going to get them unless you aim to (IOW you're a hobbyist). So when you get a bunch of rolls from the bank, each one is very likely either a trash dump from a picker, or the clueless dump of somebody who inherited from a collector, or stole from them.
@@audreymuzingo933 We moved an hour or so south from Greenville, SC and I had to open a new account. I had the account open for about two weeks when I went in to do some transaction. Deposit or something. Anyway this Bank is in podunk, SC and is big but hardly ever has much traffic inside. Surprising for the size but again it's located in a VERY small town. I've never had to stand in line there the few times I've been in. So yes, I'm standing there and I see the guy come in and I saw he had two HUGE bags of coins. I'm talking he was literally dragging them in and I told him I would buy ALL of it. But as fate would have it he said they had to count it and such. Odd. but I didn't press the issue. Anyway he told me that his Dad had died and he had been collecting for years and these coins ...well..he was just gonna cash them in!!!!! And of course I'm thinking to myself , "how in the world can I convince these Bank folks to hold them and let me buy them"? Long story short..I found out the Senior Tellers brother collects coins. Well guess what happened to that potential treasure trove? Yep...she finagled them out somehow. I think I know how but oh well....Luckily I got the halves he had rolled though. So I got a little treasure but I believe I could have gotten so much more. And since that happened and I had asked about the bags he brought in the Tellers (3 of them) have clammed up and now say they don't get anything anymore. Small town shenanigans. So I don't ask anymore. When I was living up in Greenville though my bank there would order me anything I wanted and I got LOTS of Quarters routinely. And a couple times I ordered up to $2000.00 in halfs. Never got much of anything from those boxes. Now I did get $200.00 in halves and the third roll I opened my jaw hit the floor. Right on the end was a 1857 O Seated Liberty Half! It wasn't in great condition but still. Date was legible and it would probably grade at about good. Usually my best finds was from a guy who owned a Laundromat. He would come in with a water pitcher and deposit $500.00 of Quarters. I found 90% Silver and some actual proofs. Not a lot but still good finds. But the greatest find was from that $90.00 of Halves which I ended up with over $50.00 face in 90% and 40% silver. I figure with Spot Silver prices I was up over $500.00 just in melt value not to mention some of the coins were in BU condition!!
@@Mr51Caveman ~ I wouldn't hold my breath on a response from Audrey Muzingo. The only reason you got a reply was because of a comment I posted yesterday. Check out the reaming out I got from Audrey Muzingo.
I see where you got slapped around with a few nasty insults as well as a lecture about your choice of finding coins. As I pointed out about old BlueRidgeSilverhound, he wants the subs, but never responds. I see where your original post was 1 month ago. Then out of the blue you receive a reply?? She cherry picked you after jumping me about my comment. Coincidence?? I think not. But, old Audrey wanted me to prove my point and I did. I posted to her insults about an hour ago. She was probably checking to see if I had responded to her insulting diatribe. But, my story is true and correct as I posted the video I made this morning, Then also gave her a real coin channel that does reply to their subscribers. You didn't deserve this reply. She's covering for the old BLUE. My proof is above. ^^
Enjoy the rest of your weekend Mr51Caveman! Peace
@@rjwms57 I rarely expect replies from some folks. Unless it's a troll or someone who is just a nasty human being. Sometimes I think some folks live on YT just to harass and insult others. I don't let it bother me. 24 years in the Military produced some thick skin! Oh, what video did you post?
@@Mr51Caveman ~ It's all in the above exchange I had with Audrey Munzino. No need for audio really, just wanted to show the IKE's I found at one bank last week and I was rushed for time.
cannot find exact but ebay and pcgs has dcam 69 for s for $29 and pcgs range at auction 20-35 prices are for "s" mint; no quaotes for "p" in their lists
BR your the man
I just found 40 more so about 400 total almost this years all ikes I got some of these as well
Im from tne Philippines i think iv got one of those type 2... Do she had a value?
Nice
I have an Ike dollar that has no mint marking in excellent condition it's 1776-1976 type 1 I do presume and I don't know what I'm holding honestly plz HELP
I have a roll of Ikes used as examples to Congress. These are type 1 1976 used to show Congress of the striking problems the mint was having with the 1976 Bicentennial original design. The 1976 Bicentennial Eisenhower with the Apollo (Eagle) Lunar Lander original design on the obverse that I have is only 1 of 3 known to have been struck before the mint die broke. This prompted Congress to change the law on the eagle being minted on coin dollars for that year. The roll of these Eisenhower 1976 type 1 were meant to be shown to Congress and destroyed soon after but made it into my collection.
Thank you. It was informative and explained well, clear and concise!
Although I knew it, the Type 1 and 2 differences are now easier to remember, having been described with simplicity.
Perhaps, you might address this question:
What is the difference in VALUE between a Graded Coin versus the same coin in BU (brilliant uncirculated)? Does it depend on other factors? Say for example I'm looking at a Graded Carson City Morgan and comparing its market value with the BU version of the same date and mint mark.
Question 2: What is the difference or is there a difference between one grading company and another? For example, NGC or PCGS are well known and highly reputable. How about a grading from ACG or ACGS?
I have 2 one looks to have die chips or oil globs around the edge
I’ve got an ice dollar coin with big blocky numbers , what kind is that.
I think for me the easiest way to tell a Type 1 from a Type 2 is to look at the letter A. In the Type 1 the hole in the letters A & R is tiny compared to the font on Type 2. Especially the R, going by your side-by-side at 3:10
I differentiate the two by thin/sharp, and thick/flat letters.
Well then my type 1 Ike dollar should be worth serious money because it is easily ms66 or 67 and it’s 40% silver. I’d love to know whether to get it graded or not.
I have one of that kind sir where can I sell this one dollar coin I'm from the Phillippines
I have Eisenhower double pack collection Set. Proof. I can not find the double $1 pk with the loon, moon & bell on the back. Have you seen them and their value?

HIII Help me plis I have that coin, type 1 has a great value? 😊

What about type 1 proof value
I have a mint sliver set of 3 coins un open in the box...My great uncle gave me as a kid 1976 I have sliver proof sets from 1969 to 1979 he got me one every year in sliver proof sets .time line coin sets 69 to 79 yr .all silver coin sets in the wrappers .is the sliver proof 1976 set worth anything and is there anything good to look at on coins .
I have a few sets D and S Also some singles no mint mark. I find it interest than the nickel and dines in sets are valuable as well. I also have around 10 quarters some with errors I'm not sure about the value either.
I will check my 1776-1976 type 1 - chunky type 2 skinny letters
Please make up your mind which one is type 1 or 2. You interchange the types!. Is skinny letters 1 or 2???

Look at the edge or weigh it
This video is a mere 5 months old. Many of you have asked this guy for some advice about the coin(s) that you have. And I didn’t see a single reply from him, not one. Some going back months ago. Oh, but you people make sure to give me a big thumb’s up and subscribe and be sure to tap the little bell to be notified about every video I post. I have 258 IKE’s but I believe I’ll be wasting my time waiting for a reply for a couple of questions I have. Now that’s just plain old BS! All of the signs of a complete narcissist! A poor way to run a channel on YT. I feel sorry for you guys especially those that said you’ve been following him for quite some time. I’m sure I can find answers to my questions somewhere else and won’t be ignored for months on end. I hope y’all haven’t been holding your breath. And he just lost a subscriber.
I've learned more from Blue than any other source because his videos go so in-depth on specific coins, and he often DOES reply to comments, at least in the first few hours after uploading, then he's back to work, trying to make a living like everybody else, and OH--coming up with the next video, which takes a lot more time and effort than you obviously think. And he's supposed to answer to people who don't even put in the effort to use complete sentences, use spell check, or consider how little information they're providing to ask their questions? Stuff like "I have a silver dollar how much it worth how do I sale." --Seriously, scroll down, look how many people couldn't even bother to use a F'n QUESTION MARK. And even the ones written more thoughtfully, how could anyone answer with NO PHOTOGRAPHS? And do you realize he has 883 videos--just think for a minute how many questions are asked on a daily basis; even someone devoted full-time to answering them could not do it. Why would you even think CZcams is the place to ask questions? Did you have no idea there are countless INTERACTIVE forum sites and social media groups, where you can post photos and get answers from dozens, even hundreds of experienced hobbyists? You obviously stole those 258 Ikes from a collector or inherited them from a collector relative who had nobody with more brains to leave them to. How do I know? --258 would be an INSANE number of half-dollars, never mind Ike's, which are relatively hard to find. If you had gone through the INSANE trouble and time it would take to assemble the collection yourself, you would know exactly where to find answers about them. Instead you're having a tantrum on a video about a very specific date and type of Ike, trying to tie in all the other 'victims' you think you see in the comments, to magnify your rant. YOU Ron, YOU have all the signs of a complete narcissist.
By the way, feel free to link the channel of a CZcams coin content creator who you think does a better job of addressing questions in the comment section. I would be thrilled to learn of their existence, and apologize profusely to you.
Samdis
I lucked out, my mom was out gambling when she saw a guy pay with these coins so she bought them from the teller.Low and behold one of them is Type 1 and in damn good shape. It's kind of sad this man either didnt have a clue what he had or more likely was very addicted to gambling and traded in for just 3 dollars to keep gambling a little while longer.
I have some of type 1 s mint mark silver dollar. I'm here in the Philippines.
