American Psycho 2 is the kind of movie to have a scene saying, “It’s you Rachel! You’re the American Psycho!”
That sounds like a WAY more fun movie than what we got to see. I’d watch THAT movie (with prior knowledge, unlike American Psycho 2 which I only watched due to seeing the title and Mila Kunis while knowing nothing else about the film)

Do you like Huey Lewis & The News? Their early work was a little too 'new-wave' for my taste, but when 'Sports' came out in '83, I think they really came into their own - both commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor. In '87, Huey released this, 'Fore', their most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is 'Hip to Be Square', a song so catchy most people probably don't listen to the lyrics - but they should! Because it's not just about the pleasures of conformity, and the importance of trends, it's also a personal statement about the band itself!

It was very dishonest of the studio to pretend it was a sequel to that film, that's all. I'm sure some critics would have given it a weak recommendation if it wasn't being forcefully compared to the classic original film.
I’ve never heard the phrase “majestically terrible” before but this movie clearly fits the bill. The fact that Chelsea probably had to watch this multiple times makes me admire the work that goes into these videos even more

What pisses me off is the second kill. Patrick Bateman at no point is mentioned to know how to cover up a crime scene, like he has enough sense to know to protect surfaces when he first kills.

I think in general the idea of multiple hosts is really smart. As the Kill Count as a project grows its more manageable to divvy up the work, and creatively new things can be brought by those new people. I just hope the Chelsea and Zoran counts have been successful enough that the team feels comfortable bringing the idea back, either with those two or even with other guest hosts.
I love Chelsea's straightforward deliveries, and I loved the "Those aren't real words." Good job, Chelsea! You're doing great!

I actually saw this movie way back when Netflix streaming was just movies you’d never heard of. I was a That 70s Show fan and had a massive crush on Mila Kunis, hadn’t even seen the original. I weirdly credit this movie for converting me into a horror fan. It was the first drop in the eventual flood.

For anyone curious, while it never got a conventional full sequel, there does exist follow-up material to the American Psycho novel, exploring the later life and eventual death of Patrick Bateman. This includes American Psycho 2000, a story told through a series of e-mails written to promote the first movie, and Lunar Park, which seems to be some kind of meta story in the vein of Wes Craven's New Nightmare, involving Patrick Bateman interacting with the author of his books, Brett Easton Ellis.

That way James and Chelsea look at each other at the end is the most adorable thing ever. They truly love each other and are meant for one another.
With only 2 episodes I can say Chelsea solidified her spot and personality on the Kill Count, like Zoran did. I hope we get more stuff like this, where Zoran covers kind of obscure movies and Chelsea dissects old classics
Hey, yeah! That could work! James covers modern movies aside from odd exceptions like Mortal Kombat, Zoran does the weird and obscure like Gingerdead Man or Critters, and Chelsea does the older movies like the Alfred Hitchcock Psycho!
If there's another series I'd like to see Chelsea do it would probably be The Human Centipede Trilogy since she is one of the few who enjoys and Appreciates those films
And also the author of the American psycho book said that this film wasn't canon so thats good

With a budget of $10 million, the people who made this movie really thought about getting a star-studded cast instead of making a good movie.
As much as I love James running the Kill Count, I hope we continue to see ones hosted by Chealsea and Zorrin. I've really enjoyed these counts. And I love that everyone has their own style of humor.
What went through the producers mind or the director's mind or the writer's mind? Also the idea that Patrick Bateman would drop in a single stab in the shoulder is kinda ridiculous. Also with how insane Patrick is(at least if you take away all the ambiguity) he would have probably murdered the kid first. God I hate this movie.

Also that Patrick Bateman was suspected by the FBI as a serial killer. Kinda forgets the ending the original went out on that it doesn’t matter how many women and suits Bateman kills, he is completely unremarkable and no one cares that he killed his colleagues. Him, Paul, and all their colleagues are interchangeable and no one would notice if one of them killed the others. Him being a suspected serial killer just neglects the point of the original.

I actually really liked that film as a teenager, treating it only as a standalone film. I liked that every single character down to the most minor one has its own quirks, and I LOVED that goofy SpongeBob/cowboy music. I really didn't care that most of the kills were off-screen because the film was going for dark comedy more than horror. I thought it was a neat little hybrid, a dark teen horror comedy, that was enjoyable to watch for Mila Kunis' performance and its wacky characters and storyline. As far as DTV cashgrab sequels go, I think the writers and filmmakers tried to make a good movie with what they had.
