    VIDEO INTRODUCTION:
Flex Fuel | Global Biofuel Alliance G20 Summit 2023 India | Ethanol Car | Toyota Innova Flex Fuel Car | Nitin Gadkari | Case Study
Nitin Gadkari revealed a potentially revolutionary concept for India on August 29, 2023: introducing flex-fuel cars, which can significantly reduce petrol costs and control inflation. This was marked by the world's first prototype of a Toyota Innova electric flex-fuel car. However, implementing this move can be problematic due to various factors, including a potential decrease in efficiency in normal vehicles when using ethanol-blended fuels and the higher cost of flex-fuel cars. Moreover, certain crops used for ethanol blending, such as rice, wheat and sugarcane, are water-consuming, posing another concern for the country's water situation. On the other hand, India, the US and Brazil established the Biofuel Alliance at G20 Summit 2023 India to tackle challenges in ethanol blending, through a share of research and technological resources, among other efforts.
    So the question is,
    1. What is so special about this concept of flex-fuel car?
    2. How the hell can it reduce the cost of petrol to 15Rs a litre and control something as powerful as inflation in India?
    3. How will it help the farmers of India?
    4. And lastly, what is the biofuels alliance, and why is it important for the Indian economy?
Let’s find out in this case study!!!

Modi himself said that criticism and freedom of speech is a must for a proper democracy, while at the same time he destroys the right to information act and his buddies (adani and Ambani) literally buy up everything and create monopolies. Ford is a big producer of E85 compatible vehicles and inexpensive conversion kits exist to enable other vehicles to be able to take in E85. Yet there does not seem to be much uptake. I see more a push for electric vehicles and increasing adoption. But even here I'm not too sure on the recyclability of end-of-life batteries, nor on the safe disposal of these technologies. On the flip side, ethanol as a fuel could create food-crisis by increasing costs of staples such as corn, sugar etc.

The point you made about the water crisis which is clearly a prominent one but I believe the government should use water purification methods to be able to use the same for production of said bio fuels as we are not going to reuse it for consumption, or reuse waste water to steam-line in the process that will not affect consumption. As I also understand like sugar water also has byproducts so does water when it comes to households…

One way to manage the demand side of ethanol powered automobiles can be to chart a roadmap for consumers explaining how the increase in price of one vehicle is almost null because the petrol will be cheaper and ultimately the money they would otherwise spend on a fully petrol driven car will be far less than ethanol.
This is an assumption that can be beautified for a layman’s dictionary.

Bamboo presents a compelling solution to supply-side challenges. It boasts remarkable water efficiency in comparison to sugarcane, exhibiting an extended lifespan of 80-120 years after initial planting. Certain bamboo species can yield as much as 50-100 tons per acre annually. India's tropical climate provides an ideal environment for bamboo cultivation, capable of thriving in diverse soil types, including high-salinity soils. Furthermore, bamboo surpasses sugarcane in ethanol production while exhibiting rapid growth, outpacing most other plant species on Earth. It also contributes significantly to oxygen production, surpassing other plants by 35%, consequently aiding in carbon dioxide sequestration from the atmosphere.
Prominent figures such as Mr. Nitin Gadkari have highlighted bamboo's potential in various conferences. I encourage you to consider creating a dedicated video on this specific topic 😊

    And checking for alternatives like
    Ethanol,Electricity and Hydrogen fuel
Each of them have challenges but among these three which is going to be good and more potential, cost effective and so on to India.
Because ethanol needs crops which consume more water
Many companies are investing huge in electrifying the India and also there is a concept of hydrogen fuel which is invested huge by most top company in India

Who said prices of fuel will be reduced, it will never. There used to be big differences in price of petrol, diesel and CNG and all have reached at almost the same level. If crude price falls then also there is no reduction in prices (though in theory petroleum prices are deregulated and depends on market prices).
So only govt will benefit from this as it will save its Dollars, but common people will suffer, as food inflation will increase, and people's with vehicles have low mileage but costly vehicles.

@@ok-yv5io ethanol blending is not carbon neutral, it still produces emissions, it is just less than petrol. Lithium batteries can be recycled when they wear out. Petrol or ethanol once burned cannot be revived. India is slowly becoming a renewable energy nation, then the electricity used to drive EVs would be clean and carbon neutral.
