Someone said Nate Diaz would be the best fighter ever if there was no time limit
i mean shit, dude doesnt stop fighting
Amateurish talking point. Nate would be take such a beating against anyone good that even if he did outlast them he’d never fight again
This is such a wrong statement. He probably taking enough damage to end his career in one fight if that's the case
He has overrated cardio and overrated boxing he has good jiu jitsu but nothing else he isn’t physically gifted either
@@yjoaquin6757 Long career though
Nate Diaz combines the best aspects of the movement of a baby giraffe, the swats of a house cat, and the movement of an orangutan
😂🎉
How does that make perfect sense
That's too accurate
and marble-mouth dialect.
"Drunken marsupial" is what I've been calling him of late.
I like your summation as well!
Nate moves like a injured bird, but we love him.
nah this was old man diaz
This is America , no one knows what a bird is
@@DanielHernandez-hu3ym bruh Nate moved and fought like this his entire career in mma 😂
He looks goofy yes. But he's actually very effective in termes of angles. Fights southpaw as a righty, which IS not a natural thing to do AT first.
The way he 1-2ed Edwards and dodging AT the same Time, Canelo does this too.
Very sharp.
Don't forget the Bros do everything with a saving energy mindset.
The great Nate is number one of dirty matches.
The fact that we will probably never again see him fight in an octagon is a bitter pill to swallow. There are very few fighters that were as entertaining and real as Nate.
Oh he'll be back
Don't worry we'll see Nick and Nate back in the octagon at least 1 more time. Nate's made it clear he wants to return to ufc, and Nick has been staying in shape and wants to fight too.
Exactly 💯
He’ll be back kicking Jake’s ass lmao
I have confidence he has one more big ufc fight left. just depends on the opponent and the check of course. maybe when mgregor comes crawling back after spending all his money on blow and losing 3 more fights in a row
“Phone booth warfare” is one of my favorite mma commentator lines
To think Nate was close to finishing Pettis with those vicious knees.
Man I didn't knew Nate was this versatile. I forgot about this fight and I forgot that Nate is capable of throwing elbows and knees. Compared to this fight, the Leon fight feels like Nate didn't even try to win, he just fought..
Yeah its just laziness or ego. Or hes old😅
@@tristanjoao3464 hes just there to fight lmao
Bro I always wondered this myself. I assume their personal beef before hand and the fact that Pettis was champ while Nate was at his peak as a contender made Nate take this one more serious like in his mind it was for the belt so he used all his tools.
yeah i think with leon he was just mad at his success over nate’s he be getting emotional like that and doesn’t want to fight when he’s in there or just wants to slap them and not punch them lol if he was just alittle more motivated to actually become a champ he definitely could’ve lol he just wanted to fight tho 🤷♂️ idc i’m still a fan lol
Leon just beat Usman... Twice
Nate’s ability to prevent wrestling by stopping punches with his face is a wonder to watch
nate was never the best at any point but i stg this man is the most underrated fighter of all time. no matter how long a lay off he had he always came back and made a fight of things. even when leon destroyed him for 24 minutes he made sure to remind us at the end why we all love him.
He been fighting the best ffor a long g time
His brother tho, not so much.... Nates last 3 fights was horrible too
When everyone says someone is underrated, then they're not. If anything Diaz is overrated. Ferguson, Pettis, and Maynard were way past their prime, so in the last 11 years his only good win over someone not washed up is Conor. Can count Johnson if you want to but he's lost nearly half of his fights
@@american1207 I agree with you, but Pettis was not out of his prime.
@@vipr1142 yeah he was
I can't believe how many knees and elbows Pettis ate without getting put away.
because nate has the power of a 13yr old lad 🤷♂️
@@TheCraigy83 HA!
@@TheCraigy83 No
@@mattysquizzato7094he fights like he's 13 😂😂 no disrespect
@@JxK87Honestly, as a Nate fan he looks so sloppy but he’s always got these fights or moments where he jus surprises people.
Nate and Nick both would be monsters if there were 10 round MMA fights
Nate (and his brother Nick) are two guys you dont want to start getting ahead of you, because it's near impossible to catch back up to them. You can be slicker, faster, hit harder and have better grappling but as soon as you cant keep up its all downhill and very quickly, and no-one will come back. It's just a matter of holding on until the bell because you probably are not going to finish them.
Unless your josh Thompson tho the only time nate diaz got frozen like elsa 🥶❄️ hahahaha
@@erickelley5420 In a fight that Josh was already winning.
By the way, Nate was still conscious, nothing frozen about it
I say the same thing lol, you're not gonna ko Nick or Nate so basically you have to survive for 3 or 5 rounds, even if it takes them to the end they're gonna light you up.
these Videos are awesome thank you for making them!
He looked good this fight. Then after this he took a beating from Masvidal and then took 2 years off, and never looked the same since
He hasn't looked that good since his Conor fight. Pettis was way past his prime at this point. The 3 year break after the Conor loss is what tool him down a notch.
@@american1207 Pettis KOed Wonderboy before this fight wtf you mean? He was in way better shape at 170
@ราชาสีแดง Crimson King he's lost 12 fights since 2015. And has won only 6. Yea way past his prime. Got wonderboy with a good shot but was losing the 1st 9 minutes
@@american1207 he was never losing to wonderboy you’re ether blind or your just ignorant af to what you’re looking at in terms of striking.
@@american1207 half of those losses were at 145 where he didn’t belong and he went on a 3 fight skid where guys wrestled the shit out of him. But it’s not like he was getting KOed buy just anyone or was a shell of his former self. And he was was In fantastic shape at 170.
this fight got me back in to mma. Hadn't watched a UFC event since like 2011 or 2012 when Jake Shields fought GSP. I never realized what I was missing. All the technical ability these guys have. Haven't missed a weekly event since.
Do you have telegram?
Nate looks suuuper in shape at the weigh ins
I loved that Nate did so well in this fight but I also have to commend Pettis who is clapping at the end. Sportsmanship 101
Diaz has amazing stamina, like the announcers said as soon as you start breathing hard it gives Nate extra energy and he swings just as hard as round 1 with the combinations and knees. Pretty fun to watch, Nate does take a beating to get into those later rounds though that's for sure.
His fights never get old to me I can watch one ☝️ over and over they are timeless gems 💎
Legit, I think the diaz brothers' striking is a neat look at making opponents play by your rules. Their boxing is so messy and long that it forces opponents to essentially slap fight and flail their arms to stop it, which ruins their opponent's striking game. Like all of Diaz's strikes and grabs are "wrong" but it kinda means you have to defend "wrong" or get hit; And I think that really messes some guys up when they have a set way of understanding how to strike.
You can’t kill if you can’t hurt. Both Nick and Nate will just keep coming forward and fighting regardless of how many times you hit them. Both are warriors and very entertaining
Huge Nate fan def watching these makes you realize how sad it is we wont see this again
People who say nate is over-rated just hate the guy. Everyone simply likes him because he fights takes a beating or not he gives the fans what they wanna see with that amazing chin and cardio. His boxing decent cardio astounding and jitsu is good yall just hate the man so you take away his accolades.
dude, he's an average fighter. that's just reality. he has hardcore fans, unlike any other fighters, who will support the guy through anything. he's 21-13, and doesn't even fight once a year. nick and nate have spent more years NOT fighting and delusionally thinking the world owes them, that they both wasted a shitload of money-making years. at least nick actually accomplished something in his career, and can say he was a champion.
He has a slightly above average MMA record. That's just a fact. I know MMA loser casuals love his dumbass "gangstaaa" schtick.....that is why he is popular.
@@zzz7zzz9 How many times a year do you step into the UFC cage & put your life on the line?
Bet you dont have 34 fights with 21 wins, everytime he stepped in that cage he gave the crowd everything he had every single time & did it without becoming an A-hole.
See thats why people love Nate, nobody cares about Nates losses or faults or weaknesses because thats not why people love him, nobody is saying Nate Diaz is the goat, nobody is saying Nate Diaz is the best at anything except being the realest MoFo out there,he's the peoples champ so like my man says youre just haters really if we're going to be honest.
@@zzz7zzz9 aint reading all that what I said was very simple and seeing u write a paragraph tells me you're just wrong therefore a waste.
@@zzz7zzz9Nate Diaz has won fight of the night 16 times, more than any other fighter with bonuses. Out of his 13 loses 10 were by decision. You take those out of his stats and he' s got a great record. He has many other accomplishments and that's why he has earned the respect he has. He doesn't have the following he does for no reason. When it comes to any fan base, especially in sports of course ppl will always love their team/fighter win or lose. SMH. Most fighters have their careers ended but Nate has earned his place as a fan favorite. So hate all you want
Pettis is real flashy and one of the best ways to shut down flash is to be in their face and constant pressure. Sometimes when people back up and respect the powerful/flashy guys it can give them time and space to think of ways to use it.
Super vidéo 👍 Thanks
Great video
People don’t realize how far Anthony’s Grappling came just in his UFC days he improved so much on the ground this fight shows it because anybody that can fend off Nate that many times on the ground has Skills.
Anthony will always be a Class Act Humble and Kind he is a great example of what a Fighter should be in and outside the cage.
He won the title by subbing Benson Henderson
Man i miss pettis in the ufc he was always puttin on bangers
LEGEND I MUST SAY
Nick and Nat Diaz are my fav fighters
Nate is really the last of this kind of fighter.
It's almost as if he carried with him into different UFC times that mindset the early UFC guys had.
There wasn't much money to gain back then, they just had it in them to get in there and fight.
The money didn't matter.
The belts mattered, but not as much as today.
He brings in that Tank Abbott, or Don Frye I don't give an eff attitude.
Alot of guys try and act like them, but it's an act. Those guys like Nate aren't acting.
Miss those days before it became too much like wwe.
Nate is one guy who never evolved his game or improved but still became a super star in the sport😂
He didn't need to evolve, he was already a bjj black belt, good boxer, triathloner, and training with the goat (Nick Diaz) when he entered the UFC. Boxing with excellent jujitsu on standby is just their style, with great volume and timing. Also throwing caution to the wind cause they can take a punch like no other, they don't care much about defense, which makes them so exciting to watch.
@@Lazy_Prophet hence why he is 21-13
@@bilbobagins4305 much better than a really boring fighter with a great record like GSP or something.
@@Lazy_Prophet i was talking purely about his skill. since you were going crazy talking about his good boxing and bjj and all that. that's why i reminded you of his 21-13 record.
love it!
An absolute masterclass from Nate, as always.
as always? he always gets his ass beat
@@fernandogutierrez1949 Beautifully gets his ass beaten ;) relax man, I'm just a fan of a long time veteran. I'm aware he's not elite, but you can't deny the dog in him.
@@fernandogutierrez1949 🤡
Pettis beat roy jones but was outboxed by Diaz imagine what nate will do to jake
nate is going to get KO'd stiff. and i'm no paul fan.
Love this boy - got a fucking heart like no one else - tough as nails! My boy Nate!
Both warriors. I love those guys.
Love that they squashed the beef: Nate and Showtime.
Showtime looked great in his first boxing match.
what is the key to post some fight stuff and not have it pulled ?
It is true Nate's jujitsu game is very underrated. That's because he doesn't use it as much, he likes to bang it out. I respect that, The Mexican style that the Diaz brothers have is crazy. Crazy cardio in your face. Love that style.
Nate is a chameleon. A snake. A Raptor. And an anaconda. Wrapped up into one beautiful human fighter.
I hope Nate is busting his ass getting ready for Jake. I've always been a Nick and Nate fan but it hasn't been hard to gleam, the lifestyle they have both been living in recent years is showing. I was a fan LONG before Nate fought Conor and I have seen Nate in peak shape.
I just want him to get in top form and make beating Jake's ass look easy.
Nate looked to be in phenomenal shape here
Amazing fight
Anthony was so close to being finished and KO'ed. Damn. He absorbed a vicious beating and held out for time.
Nate did good in this fight but you can tell he gassed a bit...man, I remember in his prime vs Donald Cerrone he was putting it on him the whole fight and didn't gas at all. Never ending combinations and set a record at the time for significant strikes in a fight. When Nate is on, he really flows and is very effective in the clinch as well.
weighing in with a 3 pound chain on
Ahh yes the classic beat down of Nate Diaz to Anthony show time Pettis
I mean, most people beat Pettis since 2015, he's had a negative record since then, hell, he even lost 4 out of 5 in the PFL
He used those knees perfectly
I felt this
When Nate is on the card it's a case of Beer hot wings and a PPV night.
Makes Masvidals dismantling of him even more impressive.
Diaz would do great in boxing too his cardio is unreal and he smokes weed too ahahah what a legend.
Nate is the best mma, UFC, anything else fighter there is i love him
0:38 If Nate Diaz passes me a blunt like that I'd take two hits and frame it forever lmao that'd become a family heirloom
Diaz is the Raiders to me..RNFL
Put that joint out and keep it. Its the 1 Million dollar Nate Diaz joint!
Every neighborhood has one. No matter what the guys got into, he was gonna finish shit.
need a 2v2 in the ufc - nick and nate vs conor and robbie
1:25 - If you look closely, you can see that that's where Pettis broke both of his hands. Again.
the guy gave Masvidal the best platform and the man did even run it back.
class act
Nate Diaz is a beast, nothing stops this guy 🤜🤛😤
Unless you Josh Thomson, but we ignore that
Really wish diaz would have fought more like this after pettis he got increasingly into his show oating after
Song title?
Nate Diaz is the man haha, just seems like a such a fun person to be around haha. Passes the blunt and signals pass it around haha!!!!
I forgot about this one...
Diaz cardio second to none
Nate is a (G) he ALWAYS' delivers FACT 🙌 👏 😂
As an athlete, I wonder how they have that high Vo2, and still smoking? I mean they seem to have tons of cardio.
What’s crazy is Pettis best chance at beating Diaz was on the feet and Diaz Smoked him up there too.
This fight was YEARS in the making
5:30 song name???
Love or hate Nate Diaz he is either loved or hated online
Pettis was never the same after the RDA lost
I agree, that was a brutal beating he took in that fight.
Diaz destroyed Pettis, Pettis destroyed Benson Hendo and B. Hendo destroyed Diaz 😂😂😂
A Glover beating up Rampage video
Was this fight before the fight, where Nate Diaz submitted Conor McGregor?
They both look wore out. They were both warriors back in the day. Pettis was one of my favorites
nate is the guy that maxxed out stamina stats but forgot about punching power. so he can happily spam his hands and wait for the momnt his opponent get to annoyed by it and do some terrible mistake
Don’t slip let’s keep the like 2 views ratio high mfrs!!! 🎉💨
The biggest heart in the ufc
🔥
that clinch and the way he puts u in a spiral and he makes u tired as much as he makes himself and makes u challenge his cardio against urs and fuck man ur gonna lose against diaz at that game
I couldn't believe he didn't get the finish
I thought Petrie was a featherweight I never knew he fought 170 💀
4:44 nice movements ...
Could only imagine how prime nick vs masvidal would be
The durability of nate is fucking crazy
Great performance by both fighters
being durable is probably one of the worst traits to have. way too much punishment takes. max, kattar, etc.
The best
What a war
"He ain't no wetht coatht gangthter!"
Love Nate and he was really good in this fight, but Pettis broke his foot pretty early on so he was injured most of the fight.
Love knees
It’s crazy how Diaz will be landing shot after shot at 30% power and he just keeps landing them. There are times he’ll land 5, 6, 7 shots in a row and he doesn’t turn up the power. Just keeps throwing lighter shots to make his opponent tense up
His 1,2 has stunned a lot of fighters
Can you go Masvidal destroys Diaz next?!
Bro if Nate passes the spliff you take a couple tokes out of respect 😂
Pre COVID life was so much better.
The Diaz Brothers are the best fighters ever!
