Today I have a special treat for all of you. Recently my good friend, Neil (IG @RC_iamnmd), an awesome builder and recently announed Team Gspeed Driver, decided to do a stunning custom LCG Belly Dragger Scale Crawler build using Gspeed V3 CF chassis and TRX-4 Sport axles with a Toyota LC70 hardbody.

Neil is my favourite builder ! to make this hardbody work with bigger tires and an LCG and TRX4 portal axles shows just how skilled He is , How the rear bumper comes down to protect the vulnerable rear drop body lights is just perfection . thanks for the upload BigSun

He is in the process of building a C1 rig...can't wait to see it.
I have the same Trx4 and Lc70 hardbody and I want to do the same thing you did with my truck is that all I need is the chassis and spacers...what do I need to convert?
I see the chassis, skids, bottom plate and spacers is that it? Did you use the Trx4 trans?
Also how did you cut the holes in the bed so shocks can come through?
TRX4 conversion isn’t as straightforward as Element nor SCX10.2. You can make the transmission work, but it requires a bit of modding to work correctly. Most folks end up using a different transmission because of that. I believe Neil was using TGH 2.Low trans for the build, but it has been a while so I am not quite sure. Also you will need new set of links as stock won’t work. Hope that helps.

What size lipos do you use? Probably not even a 2200mah huh
Personally I use 1300mAh, but lots of guys that comp use the 850mAh.
Hey Sung just getting ready to convert my sport over to gspeed v3 😁 do you know what links Neil used? I would appreciate any advice as well
Hey Sean, that's awesome. I believe he used IntheworksRC. If you reach out to IntheworksRC, they should be able to tell you what to order. One thing, you need to figure out which transmission you will be using. The stock one takes quite bit of modification, so most folks end up using other trans options such as 2.Low, TGH FMM, even Element RC's Stealth X trans, etc...

2.Low will work perfectly in combination with Gspeed bundle.
