We debating getting one 400S for our first floor with an open floor plan at 1035sq ft or two 300S for the same. Thanks Update: We purchased the 400S and several 300S unit but unfortunately both the 400S and 300S units had a noticeable whine on low speeds and the 400S was wobbling! Also note you have to place the Core 400S and 300S units 15" away from the wall. The Vital unit looks like you can place it against the wall which I believe will fit into my spaces. We are going to try the 100S and 200S unit now. Crossing our fingers. Also Levoit has removed the True HEPA filter claim from the Core 300 and 400 models but the Vital unit are still listed with True HEPA filters.
It could be because in the smart units they are selling those features of the unit and not the filter. The filter is the same. HEPA is the type of filter, so that doesn’t change . You would have to look up the replacement filters and if you look online and go to Lowe’s it tells you it’s a HEPA filter .

I wish someone would show the insides ( like the fan, motor etc - ) the filter is easy to swap out and clean. Most people like me who use these have issues getting the unit clean ( fan motor, not being accessible to be wiped and cleaned down )
Does the core 200s have an ionizer ??
I just want to knw if its really effective against cigarrete smokes... Especially for the square one... Im really interested in that one...
I have the 300 version (round) if you upgrade from the basic filter to the smoke filter it works wonders on HEAVY weed smoke gone in less than 20 to 30 minutes just set to high while smoking. I'm assuming if they make filters for the square for smoke it would do similar or better on smoke.

I’m really interested to know the performance difference between the Vital 100 & Core 300. I’ve seen a comparison & the 100 claims to cover a larger square footage but in the actual test the Core 300 filtered smoke the fastest. The core 300 also beats the Vital 100 in terms of overall efficiency. I find the claims vs findings very confusing even though there’s only a $10 difference between the non-smart models. At that price point $119-$99 I know I’m basically splitting hairs but I just want to know which unit filters smoke the best & covers the most sq/ft. Thanks for your awesome reviews.

Make sure the video your referring to compares the "S" 100 & 300 models for an accurate assessment.
I would choose the Core 300 over the Vital 100. But I would also suggest checking the Vital 100S, which is an improved version of the Vital 100.
I have the core 300 and I love it. I run it 24/7. I have pets. I highly recommend it. I use it in my bedroom. Hope this is helpful.
Why do all Levoit air purifiers have the red note from California P65warnings, what harmful chemical does it release or what is the reason?
Because California is a senseless self-absorbed and stupid state. Ignore the pointless warning. It's nonsense. You don't plan on licking or chewing on the device components, do you? Then, you should be fine. Your house probably wouldn't pass P65. Your PHONE has the same chemicals. Your car and everything else has the same chemicals. They're present in the environment.

Do they all use hepa filter
To check to see whether or not the purifier is HEPA or TRUE HEPA do a search on the website. Most aren’t.
Is it still worth it knowing they are all no longer true hepa? I am really still debating if i wanna buy 600s knowing its not a true hepa.
What about vital 200s ? Online still states true hepa pls lmk

I'd say none of these because the warranty is short and I had two of them from this brand die in a year time span.
do u leave them on 24 hrs or do u leave them on if your in the room?
You can decide whichever you prefer. Either leave it running full time, or just part of the time. Obviously if you run it longer, it sucks more dust through the filter.
I run mine 24/7 love it! Customer service sucks but the product is worth it. Filters are expensive. Over all it is a wonderful product.

@sashacerny8227 you're not kidding about Honeywell support. Takes ages to get through to them. But the air cleaners generally work great. Big flaw regarding their customer support. I still recommend their air cleaners. Among various brands of air filters, Honeywell replacement filters are a better value. The HEPA filters aren't as pricey as others. Always add the black pre-filter! Vacuum it. This keeps it all cleaner.
What about this one and that one? This one is nice. But that one is nice too. This one is bigger than that one.
