Finally, Monte Vista, one of my favourite worlds. I don't own it but I always thought it was beautiful. By the way, congratulations on the subscribers milestone, I hope more people find your videos since they're so funny, genuine, and I love when simmers are honest, unlike the gamechangers that never find any flaws in the way that Sims 4 works*, always having biased opinions that seem almost scripted. CZcams needs more genuine people like you :D
I feel like they did a good job with these houses; they seem italian enough (Monte Vista is meant to resemble a Tuscany medieval town like San Gimignano, I think). There are a few things that are uncommon in Italy (we don't use carpets that much) but it's not so bad. If there were bidets to fill those empty bathrooms, it would've been perfect.
So I know it isn't a huge selling point in sims builds but one thing you missed for happy hive is the views. Monte Vista views are some of the absolute best ever!
that is a very good point, i will try to showcase the views in general during the final episode... some worlds have awful landscapes (sunset valley and twinbrook are particularly abhorrent from certain angles), but monte vista has the best terrain by far

I’m so happy I found a channel who’s talking about sims 3 stuff. I love sims 3 and I find it really hard to find videos that are even a little related to sims 3. When I search it up I just get sims 4 content.
If you like sims 3 builds then I’m the place to be, if you like more game play stuff I recommend acottonsock, she’s an expert on sims 3 gameplay and nraas stuff. Other than that there aren’t many creators that stick to sims 3 unfortunately :(
I saw spice Girls live when I was sooooo little I wish I still had my shirts. I even had the spice girls barbie dolls. The ONLY barbies I ever collected haha. Love you you're so awesome. Monte Vista is one of my favourite worlds, my top 3 would be: -1. Bridgeport: I love the city and the townies in this world are so cool -2. Sunset Valley: Is the first one and iconic, also the townies had a lot of lore -3. Monte Vista: Is just so pretty and different

@@Rekowcski I will say that houses this large will be fine to add in pets. The dog can sleep in the hall and people can just walk around it. Early in my simming career, I made 1 square hallways and then I had a dog that would sleep in the middle and sims couldn't step over him. He had beds and all kinds of couches and human beds to sleep on, he just always chose the hallway.

I like your thought process on this. I think I would Simsie every house in this world though - make it SMALLER. All the rooms are like awkwardly too big, especially if you're dealing with the mountains in Italy. I know the sims in Sims 3 get super annoyed if a doorway is blocked, BUT you don't need a 3x3 room for a half bath. you need a 2x2. This is not rocket science, people, its a sims house. The funny thing I noticed going through your video is that almost every male sim looked the same. Slicked back black hair and sunglasses. Is Italian Bro a template for what EA thinks an Italian man looks like? Weird.
I agree, for half baths its fine... i do like a nice big master bathroom though if it's done well! Also many comments mentioned that the giant bathrooms are accurate. Some of these worlds would horrify kayla, i wish she came back to the sims 3
The amount of criminals in this town is frankly kind of insulting. As you said, it's as if every other townie was either a criminal or a grandparent. I was at least glad that some of the builds in this part are less just EA big and empty. I never understood what was the fixation with huge emtpy houses, like why did they do it so often?? Anyway, can't wait for part three, hopefully you'll incorporate some of the advice we gave you in the last video.
At the end with the restaurant owner, I thought “oh good, a less offensive stereotype” There are several things that were repeated in the comments by most people, so I think I have some good notes
I feel like a lot of people get confused sometimes between North and South Italy, the style in Monte Vista, is definitely Southern Italian, and not Northern. As a Northern Italian who lived in Genoa for 7 years, i know for a fact that no building in Northern Italy, (at least West Northern, cos the East Northern areas like Venice are a bit more 'Traditional') look like this. So make sure to look out for differences like that. Northern Italy has more Modern, apartment buildings. Southern Italy has more 'Traditional', romanesque buildings. Or sometimes maybe even not Southern but, maybe Tuscany. In the Pure North West, like Milan and Genoa, you definitely get to see the more modern, sad apartments, and yes i said sad, because there is barely any nature in the middle of city.
Tuscany seems to be the style that EA was going for, from what I can tell. I understand the gripe about milan, but it's definitely prettier than our version of modern haha
This is so weird. Maybe they assign different builders to different section of the alphabet because these houses are notably less monotonous than the first group, I quite like them! Some of them even reminded me of my own grandparents’ house.
Maybe this time we can chalk it up to coincidence haha, most worlds have a couple hidden gems, but it does seem peculiar that we got all the good ones clumped together...
Another great review, this part definitely had the better lots! On a quick side note, I noticed that on the Lovely Lodging lot, for some reason EA opted for a different color on the masonry on the one-story entryway. I noticed it quite quickly when compared to the wall next to it that had more of a tan hue on the masonry. Not sure why they tried to make it different, because it feels out of place as if they forgot to duplicate the swatch to make them match.
when you drag create-a-style swatches and hold shift, its supposed to do all adjacent walls, but porches and weird bump outs can affect that... so i think that's what happened.. i hope

They make them beautiful for tourists, and they are much more expensive - try also Kos (small but nice old centre) and Rhodes (visit Rocks and Lindos town) .... If you like with more unique with less people - island Nikos and volcano Stefanos!!

I'd love some small city houses or condos... not everyone in tuscany lives in a mansion on a farm ahha, it was a missed opportunity with that "poor struggling" sim who lives in a beautiful house with $7000 in cash

I know that the house having tiles everywhere isn't your thing or (even beautiful IMO) but where I live, the houses are ALL tiles, everyone except the rich people's house that plan their own's, and the worst is that is that is the exact same tiles/ terracotta floor/ ceramic in the entire house. I know is really ugly, and I don't even know any house that have carpet or wood floors.
I think some terracotta tiles look very pretty, I am just thinking of my cold feet in the middle of the night haha Thank you yes, lots of people are saying I can find it any room, perhaps all of the rooms, and honestly I wouldn’t want wood in Italy... too hot lol
@@Rekowcski here where I live is extremely hot (40 c° sometimes) but I still hate the cold floor when I wake up in the morning, so yeah, and all the floors everywhere is just ugly and you have lucky if is basic and not bizarre colors just out of sunset valley , I never saw beautiful floors in normal houses and community lots. Normal people in here also almost never have rugs for decorating too.
I completely understand what you're saying about the bathrooms, but I can't help but laugh when you've spent an entire series criticizing the lack of white bathrooms only to say the ones in Monte Vista are too white.

Mostly I build Victorian style houses in the channel, but most of my build time lately is pumping out lots for my custom world :x

I know that the house having tiles everywhere isn't your thing or (even beautiful IMO) but where I live, the houses are ALL tiles, everyone except the rich people's house that plan their own's, and the worst is that is that is the exact same tiles/ terracotta floor/ ceramic in the entire house. I know is really ugly, and I don't even know any house that have carpet or wood floors.
I think some terracotta tiles look very pretty, I am just thinking of my cold feet in the middle of the night haha
Thank you yes, lots of people are saying I can find it any room, perhaps all of the rooms, and honestly I wouldn’t want wood in Italy... too hot lol
@@Rekowcski here where I live is extremely hot (40 c° sometimes) but I still hate the cold floor when I wake up in the morning, so yeah, and all the floors everywhere is just ugly and you have lucky if is basic and not bizarre colors just out of sunset valley , I never saw beautiful floors in normal houses and community lots. Normal people in here also almost never have rugs for decorating too.
my hometown is one of the warmest in canada, it is often 30-40 degrees in the summer! too hot for me, now i live in the snowy mountains haha
