I’ve been wanting to learn how to dye yarn and have watch video after video - BUT THIS IS THE BEST SERIES! it’s making the whole process so easy to understand! It’s clear, concise, practical and in steps that are easy to follow. Thank you so much! I look forward to watching the final videos!

It takes a brave lady to go in the dye room in a white jumper 😀

I didn't know you're in West Virginia! I'm from Raleigh County. I currently live in DC with my family. I really enjoy this video series. I'm looking to start small batch dying for my personal crochet projects.

What is the name of the cleaning product you mentioned using in the bath?

Great series thank you. I’m planning to dye (for the first time!) some bare yarn that I’ve spun especially for dyeing. At the moment the spring have three yarn ties on them …should I remove these when adding the zip ties? Thank you 🙏

Do you have an opinion on adding urea to the soaking solution? I was told it makes fibers swell up and it allows the water and dye to move into the fiber easier.

Would this technique work for dying brassy white goat fiber?

Love your videos. They are informative, fairly succinct and short (my attention doesn’t wander LOL)!

How do you get rid of the slimy stuff that’s collected on top the acid dyes? If you don’t mind me asking and thanks in advance for your help

Hello! Most dyes don't have slimy stuff. One or two colors will get a little bit of gel if you don't use them right away. Heat them back up and it goes away or make sure to use that color when you mix it. Was it a specific color or all of your dye?

Can you use dish soap like Dawn instead of Synthrapol?

I assume that I would do all the same when dyeing sock blanks?
