I absolutely loved dyeing this fiber. It took dye beautifully, and it was so much fun. I'll be dreaming about getting five pounds in the mail ❤️. I'll be back with spinning/knitting videos for these socks, and the dyeing of firestar soon! Love you guys and hope you are all doing well.

One of the things I love the most about your videos is the way you "show up." Life is too short to let people impose their opinions on how you should show up in this world. Life is messy. None of us is perfect. I am most definitely not. The important thing is that we keep showing up, and supporting each other, and inspiring creativity and joy in the creating. The reason you were my very first YT subscription after (yikes) a decade and a half of watching videos here is that you are so positive and inclusive and loving, even when you're all fierce and ranty. Came for the weaving, stayed for the attitude. Love every video, please keep 'em coming.
Also: I've been thinking for the last several videos that part of what keeps me coming back is that the outtakes at the beginning make you feel so human and accessible, and I love that. It makes me feel like I might be able to make my own videos someday.

It's sad that there is almost always someone that has to make a negative comment about someone that they really don't know! Momma always told me that"If you can't say something nice then don't say anything at all! I really wish that more people would keep that in mind.

100% credit for showing up. No lipstick required. I am going to over dye a food color dyed project with acid dye as soon as the dye shows up. The food color faded. Not sure what happened (aside from the fact I left it in the sun). Can’t wait.
I have heard Kool Aid can fade in the sun. I think it just isn't as colorfast as commercial dyes. I hope you have fun!

Hi Trish, I just found your channel and subscribed because I just love what you are doing and how you are sharing it with the world. I am also one of those obsessed fiber people, I live in Colorado, I owned alpacas for a while and have lots of other fiber obsessed friends who have sheep and spin and weave and knit and dye and we have a lot of fun. I tell you, this has saved me during the covid pandemic, because I can find my happy place so easily with so many different things I can do with fiber creating. You ROCK ! This is fun. I just starting spinning at the end of last year and your videos have been an encouragement to me. After this video, I think I might even be confident to try dying fiber.
I hope you go for it. You can also use unsweetened Kool Aid packets or food coloring if you're just starting out!
