    Hi! What an amazing video thank you SO much for doing this!
    A little feedback from UK. To pronounce blue faced Leicester. Leicester is spoken 'Lester' 🙂
    I don't normally correct people online because it feels wrong, yet it's better that you know ❤️

    If you have a restaurant supply store that sells retail you can get plastic wrap that is much wider. I have 24” wide rolls and it helps to keep the dye contained when steaming. Also when I roll it up, I leave the last end open, roll it up and then seal it. It helps express the air out and the two or three inches of wrap seals it. And I do use the extra wrap like you did . I have also used a large ziplock bag for the last wrap. I also let it cool completely before un wrapping and washing

      Great suggestions! Thank you for sharing your experience. Two questions, have you attempted to dye any type of fiber besides wool - I'm planning a spinning series to tray all types of fiber. And what do you do with your precious wool - spin, weave, knit...?

    I use wool felt instead of dish towels to wipe up. You can use them multiple times. When you like what you have then set the felt like any wool.

      Interesting! Is this your hand felted wool, or do you buy sheets somewhere?

    • @mary-ruthflores4107
      @mary-ruthflores4107 Před 9 měsíci

    Is it ok to use the microwave that is used for food?

    • @TextileIndie
      @TextileIndie  Před 4 měsíci

      Yes, since the dye shouldn't come in contact with any surface in the microwave - and typically food doesn't come into direct contact with the micro surface either. If you are concerned you can wipe the microwave down with vinegar water after dyeing your fiber and/or leave it open for a bit to let it air out.
