- When we think of Mayan culture, we usually think of some past times that happened a long
long time ago. But they were direct ancestors of current local Guatemala population. And
the culture that you see nowadays is the same Mayan culture that we used to talk about. A lot
of rituals, symbols, and beliefs are still there. And especially this is true when it comes
to Guatemalan Highlands, where I'm gonna spend a night today with my motorcycle.
We are very much used to have all the conveniences of modern life and can hardly imagine that life can be different. For the mountain towns, there is no hot water or heating anywhere here - neither for tourists, nor for locals. And there are a lot of villages like this or even less equipped in Guatemala. Some of these villages don't even have electricity. And people live there. So for the night I'm relying on my heated jacket. And since this is a mountain location - nights are very much chill.

Your channel and other motorcycle travelers show the CZcams world that there is so much more to learn about each other through travel. Just watching your videos and they way you navigate through these small towns in South America are just amazing…everyone should stop protesting about pronouns and issues that don’t concern an individual and mind your own business and just enjoy your fellow man… traveling enables people to experience the more pleasant things that truly make us diverse and just on equal plains to survive a daily life and struggles…people are, by nature, good will as we have seen through these videos…. Sad just knowing that protestors are destroying major cities for fun…. Ride on Kseniia, stay safe…

Here in Northr'n Calif., there's flea markets w vendors selling Guatemalan wares. I'm pretty sure the small backback I've had since the 90s came from Guatemala...maybe down some windy windy roads haha!

You gotta do some update to your audio recording while you're riding. Not enjoyable at all.
