in this video I'll be playing through the prototype. This is meant as a public test to show of the mechanics and controls and gather feedback from... you!
Looking forward to see what everybody has to say.
Next video I'll be doing a deep dive in the engine and showing how some of this was build and what the thought process was behind it.

Graphic design is very important to me, I feel more like playing now than in the previous video x) It's a lot sexier in 3D, the ball is really rolling now ^^

Graphics is all placeholder. I haven't really spend any time on design, all the blocks you roll on and the ball design are pretty much placeholders and will be swapped with actual assets later on.
With a earlier prototype i made before I started over I already built out some environments (you will see that in next devlog) but it was really just complicating things, so I decided to do graphics later and focus on gameplay first. Now that I got a working protoype and can start building levels I can start thinking about visuals as well, so expect more updates on that as we go along.
But yeah definitely a lot of work to do there! I haven't quite decided on the look yet. I think it'll be themed environments with relatively simpler blocks based on the theme. So you may roll over wooden panels, rocks, etc.. I've made that all work in my build (you can load in objects and the albedo gets tinted to the block setting) but I will have to experiment.
Check out next devlog to see how some of the stuff looked in the old protoype!
Looking forward to see your feedback for the playtest :)

Congratulations! Its very interesting. How long did you take to develop the prototype using Unreal engine? Thanks
