in MOST cases, the outer joint is a major pain in the ass to disassemble, it is also the most likely to fail. So being able to swap the boot with out separating the half shaft from the cv joint makes things a lot easier. I'll be trying this product on my next boot replacement.
i would guess zero - i genuinely have used 4 of these on my cars and not one of them has split, they are an incredibly stretchy rubber! very easy to use! :)
Man u pulled it thru like butter. One swift motion. I was watching this other video... the guy was struggling.. lol. This is how its done ppl! Some easy meant to be ez. Its all abt the hidden technique. Like everything else once u know that special move its butter
Looks like you have to use a cv boot that is made for this because they aren't normally that stretchy. But the do have them in the usa but by a different name, prime line cv boot kit. Orielly auto sells them, in Phoenix Arizona they have them for sure else where IDK.
I can see this being useful if the drive shaft is to remain on the car, but if youve got it out of the car and in a vice, then it would be just as easy to do it the traditional way, ie: removing the joints.
Hiw do you pack the boot grease? He didnt show. I thought you took a needle into once it was installed. It doesnt appear this one was done that way? So how?
Another way of doing it without flipping the boot would be to place the cone on the inner joint end. Slide it right over then bring it to the outer joint.
Thanks for this video mate it has made me more confident in fitting my cv boot to the o/s/f of my car. There is grease everywhere 😩 I have a question for you, does it need to be the lube provided in the kit or can you use penetrating oil ie WD-40 etc...?? As I have a cone, new grease and the jubilee clips to hold it to the shaft but no lube like you used. Could you let me know if this would work when I go to fit it? Any feedback and/or answers and tips would be very appreciated. Hope to hear from you soon mate.. Cheers 👍🏻
If somebody like to purchase this cv-boot, clamps & etc. in USA - they can do it from www.viagra4cars.com in cv-boot section ! Or by calling: 1 888 558 2668 !
Because if you go to the next step, hitting the back of the cv joint with a hammer, the bloody thing is in your hand and you can use a normal boot which will slip straight onto the shaft.
In case anyone comes across this, if you search “draper cv boot tool”, it should come up with this or similar, as mentioned though, if you have something similar shaped that you don’t mind getting a bit oily you don’t even need to get one
What's the point? It takes 3 taps of a hammer to remove the cv joint or less than a minute to remove a circlip if it was one. By the time your spent messing about with this it could have been done. Also these cost a lot more to buy than a replacement boot for a few quid.

I had three and they all have cracked or broken apart just enough to fling little specs of grease everywhere. I used bailcast which it seems they are the best, but still I would almost rather just replace with a solid one and not a split one after all the mess it has made over time.
More relevant today than ever. Aftermarket china axles are fucking JUNK. and people are realizing that rebooting your OEM axle as SOON as the boots get ripped is the WAY to do it. OEM axles are expensive!!
What a brilliant idea! Definitely going this way next cv boot needs replacing

you must be using an i Touch to check the softness of the boots, absolutely fantastic. There's always one.
все гениальное просто!

Ottimo senza usare il martello per togliere il giunto oppure usare l'estrattore 👍👍
These fit Pajero MK 2?
Конгениально!
These last well in my experience, not much fun to install in cold weather though.

Where can I get it ?
Is it just me or does it not give a clue where to get this product,,,, odd
You can use a funnel to do this job , no need for this cone.
In case anyone comes across this, if you search “draper cv boot tool”, it should come up with this or similar, as mentioned though, if you have something similar shaped that you don’t mind getting a bit oily you don’t even need to get one

Try it on some Toyota drive shaft!!
😯 💡
И где взять такую штуку можно?
Я бы спросил -- где взять такой пыльник (чтобы не порвался)?
ДАуж, растяжка как у "резинки" в аптеках)
наши б пыльники разорвались на клочья если их так разтянуть
Como comprar este cone
cuanto cuesta
Name of tool ??
Да базару нет Где такой пыльник приобрести.
Силиконовые пыльники продаются в автозапчастях,правда я на ваз2108 брал,ставил на део и шкоду.тянутся норм
Универсальный пыльник обычно так ставят.
typically commercials explain how to buy....
wer do i cat this
у нашего пыльника нет такой растяжки конус сплющится
this video reminds me of the video of the guy that sits on a glass bottle then the bottle shatters and he starts oozing blood outa his butthole
One man, one jar
To be honest I think you should turn off your computer and get out more
Freaking Brilliant! Where can I buy one?
If somebody like to purchase this cv-boot, clamps & etc. in USA - they can do it from www.viagra4cars.com in cv-boot section ! Or by calling: 1 888 558 2668 !
Or just buy the ones you glue together. The glue is stronger than the rubber.
