Entre envolées lyriques, riffs de guitares et influences electro, le concert de @wtofficial est l'un des grans événements du Hellfest 2023. Laissez-vous transporter par la voix de Sharon den Adel !
Pas raffiné le metal ? Teuteuteu. Ecoutez donc un peu Within Temptation et on en reparle : des vocalises de haut vol, des mélodies aussi sombres qu’envoûtantes, un univers visuel des plus soigné… Les Néerlandais donnent une touche aristocratique aux musiques extrêmes
Après plusieurs années loin des studios et du public, les Néerlandais de Within Temptation ont refait parler d’eux en 2019 grâce à la publication de l’album Resist. Ce comeback s’accompagne d’un changement de ton : Sharon den Adel et ses sbires s’éloignent du metal symphonique qui les a fait connaitre pour y infuser des touches plus pop. Un tournant osé, mais qui semble avoir rencontré son public.
Within Temptation enfonce d’ailleurs le clou d’un metal sous influence synthétique avec un single publié au printemps 2023 : "Wireless", bel aperçu du huitième album du groupe. Entre tubes et exclus, le public du Hellfest est aux anges !

I greatly enjoyed this upload. Being a quadriplegic here recently i may never get to see them live in concert. I used to attend many different concerts from different genres of music but after being disabled it is a huge struggle for me to get out and really enjoy things like attending a live concert. So I spend a lot of time on CZcams enjoying uploads like this. It amazes me how Sharon can maintain her unique beautiful voice and maintain her amazing beautiful looks. I hope she continues to perform flawlessly for years to come

11:45 that's the most important contribution of Hellfest. The new blood. Young kids going with their friends and families, enjoying heavy metal together, the old passing the torch to the young. Heavy metal is a family and no other genre can even compare. And we have true DIVAS like Sharon, dominating the stage. We can't ask for more.
I was at Iron Maiden last week in Dublin and what stood out to me was the amount of parents bringing their children to see them. Like 8 year olds headbanging to songs that in some cases are older than their parents. They witnessed an amazing performance that they will remember forever
@@Dubliner-un9lw You will never find that on pop or urban music. I think the reason is, heavy metal actually transmits good values, unlike other genres. By the way, funny that you mention Dublin. I have Irish ascendance (Feeley, Gahan and another last name I can't remember) and I'm thinking about getting citizenship some time in the future. Ireland has given birth to some incredible singers!
My dad brought me to my first Metal concert at 12, which was Within. It was magical.
@@x3BobO I still don't have the luck of being a father, but I took my nephew to his first metal concert. It was Paradise Lost and it was AMAZING!!! He couldn't get a free poster after the concert but some dude looked at him and said "hey kid, you can have mine". So yes, heavy metal is a family.

Within Temptation still rocks in 2023. Loved the set!. Missing was a couple of my favs "Shot in the Dark", "Whole World is Watching" and the very profound and touching "Forgiven".
Sharon (Janny) is my age and still out there doing it... much respect. And I REALLY like the new stuff. Just wow. Love you guys. I hope you keep going.

Has just discovered WT (thanks to YT), and never seen them live. This concert sometimes brings some moist to my eyes. What a heart and what a charisma they have. Og course especially Sharon. Gosh..........
I recommend Lacuna Coil as well in case you don’t know them. There’s also Epica that’s similar to WT.

after listening to them for 20 years, i finally got to see them live and was lucky enough to grab a VIP ticket and got to meet them. (in Cleveland) the VIP is the best i ever had.. they limited the VIP tickets to around 30.. 22 people showed up. We got a private 5 song concert that we could record / take pictures.. then they came down and signed Autographs, took pictures and hung out and talked with us individually for about 2 hours.
ALL of them are the most down to earth people you will ever meet and Sharon is the most kind person you can imagine. She lost her father a few years back, i lost my sister around the same time and told her how she wanted to see them and sharon gave me a big hug and we talked about grief, Then she said you are gonna be up front. The band had a private box up front to put friends/family in and she moved me into it.
The single best concert i have ever seen. Sharon sounds even better live then on recording.

The 5 tracks of Wireless are all absolutely exceptional, masterpieces.
I discovered this band (beyond this name) thanks to this show (thank you Arte for making us relive such emotional moments), afterwards, I listened to the discography in reverse order and I must admit that I haven't found anything in their discography that matches the finesse of their latest EP.
I think that bodes very well for the future.
I'm surprised they're not playing Memories or Edge of the World. Arguably their best songs.
This has to be one of the best performances of Mother Earth ever, the whole band was out of this world

Sharon always shines, but if you want to see her positively incandescent look up Black Cathedral. Though I'm pretty sure every Within Temptation fan has seen it by now.

OK, when we remember Bruce Springstern, who still kills with three-hour concerts at 73, it seems nothing special that Sharon sings so well at 48. However, when I see that pop starlets like Ava Mags (not sure about spelling) folds a concert after 60 minutes, we have all reason to praise Sharon for her consistently good performances.
