From contemporary, hard-hitting djenty riffs to soaring melodies displaying their symphonic roots, we have created a sonic journey that fuses diverse musical styles and thought-provoking themes. This is an album that is as epic as it is unflinchingly outspoken.
Reflecting the tumultuous state of the world, for our new album we have drawn inspiration from events such as the murder of Mahsa Amini in Iran and the war in Ukraine. But that isn’t to say that there’s no light to the heavy shade on Bleed Out. Listen to it, to experience it.

I'm surprised at how heavy this album sounds, compared to their older music. It's freaking amazing!! An instant favourite album for me! ❤
Straight up, they went from rock to metal/djent, and I'm all for it!
Actually their first album (before the one with Ice Queen and Mother Earth) was pretty heavy and gothic and I loved it. Much more than their later gradual descent into mass appeal pop-rock.
I am delighted to hear they are going back to these roots!
How does Sharon do it after all these years?!?! Her voice never seems to diminish. Im in awe. Within Temptation makes me want more music
I follow WT since the Enter album, and I've seen them live three times, last during the Resist Tour not long ago. Sharon's voice is not on the same level as during her Black Symphony days. Or can you name a song on Bleed Out in which she hits high notes as clear and strong as in The Promise or The Truth Beneath The Rose? Don't get me wrong, I love Sharon's voice but she sounds more strained live these days. Luckily this doesn't matter in the studio.
Because she's that good ;) If you take care of your voice, you will not burn out. Listen to Epica and all of Floor's stuff. They're still going strong too. Why? Because they take care of themselves.

Excellent album, it's more aggressive and in the same time very melodic. Lyrics are top notch and Sharon's vocal as brilliant as ever.

I am totally hooked on Cyanide Love, seriously! 🤩 At first when I listened to it, it seemed strange to me because it was a style I hadn't heard before in Within Temptation, but I thought that they love to experiment with new sounds and I was happy for their work, but I thought I wouldn't like it that much... now after two days of listening to the album, without a doubt one of my favorites now is Cyanide Love, I can't stop listening to it 😥

Crazy great album. Definitely tests any sound system it's being played through. Each year Within Temptation, and the amazing Sharon seem to continually evolve and destroy expectations.

Today was the day, finally it came in!!! I have been listening non stop, my new favourite is "We go to war" but that is only just my favourite. All of them are just perfect!! I can't wait for next year Antwerp, finally seeing a live show again and I am bringing a friend that has never seen WT live yet.

I'm hesitant to say anything, but I feel like I should. My expectations weren't met by this album. Most of the songs were released beforehand, and the recent MVs were made with AI. When I compare how I feel about this album compared to "Resist" . . . I was so hyped for "Resist" to the point where I played that album for weeks without end. It was so good! But we've been dripfed most of these songs over the last few years, so while it's incredible that we have a new album, it doesn't have the same impact. I wish expectations had been managed better. If I had known 5/6 out of the 11 songs were going to be songs we'd already heard as early as "Entertain You", I would've felt less let down by the final product. This isn't to say the new songs are bad - they're extremely good and give me moments of "Resist" that I love - but I feel really conflicted. And again . . . the AI MVs - and the one that seems to be coming - don't excite me. They just make me sad.
The message is so important, and your talent still shines through. But this wasn't really what I was expecting. I will likely do the same as "Resist" and loop these songs for a while, but I don't have the same joy over this release as I did the last.
That's messed up how could say that about such good music I know some of the songs have already been released but it's still as good as resist.
Honestly, the only bad thing about these releases are the music videos.
