April Wilkerson Coming Soon
How about having close captioning on your videos for those us that are either profoundly hearing impaired or deaf?
Price includes saw?
Add a quick email newsletter signup to the coming soon page. Email is the biggest sales driver for small online retailers.
Also, as an aspiring grumpy old man myself, social media adoption among the woodworker demographics may be lower than average.
Just my 2 cents
@@busterulmer7092 Doesn't CZcams provide a feature like that?
This looks awesome! My husband and I are currently mill shopping, this one looks like a great option! BTW that log you started with, is fantastic!
You are such a joy to watch, thanx for breaking everything down to a lingo anyone can understand. Thumbs up!
Your zest for “all things wood” is infectious! I hope to meet you someday! Keep it up!
Hey April,
Love everything about your attitude wiyh wood working. An outstanding, inspirational, lady in wood working..
I have had an M7 Logosol Mill I believe 13 years. Very Fun, Portable, weather tight, have cut thousands of feet of, not just lumber, but Bowl blanks , thin stock for scroll saw and veneer work, all kinds of specilty cuts... The only part that wears out, only twice , are the lift ropes.. Mice to blame..
Keep up the Great Work..
Dave
April,
Awesome video and Perfect way to rep and share your experience with fine equipment. Thanks for sharing, Kevin
Yet another great video. Thanks for sharing! Happy Mother's Day to your mom!
Be careful out there. Stay safe and healthy!
The portability is super sweet, going to have to check this out indeed
Great work! Thanks for taking the time to make, film, edit and share
I love the March 20 TexasMonthly write up. Very nice. Great Work.
I've seen them advertised, but never really paid much attention to them. Now I will have to take another look. I have an Alaskan chainsaw mill. Thanks for another great video! :)
You're welcome, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Great video of the Logosol Milling System. They definitely have a great product and it works well from the different people who have them and share on CZcams. You did a great job April. Thanks for sharing with us. Fred
: ) Thank you
That is all so sweet !!!!!!!! Good luck on your ventures and stay safe.
Sweet! Nice simple, stable design.
Love the new Logosol. Another excellent tool for your growing toolbox!
Very nice setup, portable, precise and it looks good too.
Excellent review. Currently looking for a mill and this is now in the running, haven't heard of it before your video, for whatever that's worth. Thanks April.
Awesome stuff April! 😃👍🏻👊🏻 ... Seems like a really great mill!
Wow Awesome logosal April great review makes the job alot easier seal of approval 👍thank you for sharing all of your videos
This is theee best demonstration of the F2 I've seen. They have the LOGOSOL bar I see. They should just package it with saw and be done with it. Great video as usual.
😮
My father can't see it, or he's going to want one!!! Actually, I already want one, so... 😬
Great review! Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Hi April your videos are so cool I always get great ideas I have been starting to sell my handmade wooden coasters , candle holders and many more stuff thank you for giving all us woodworkers tips!!!🛠️🔨👷♂️👷♀️⚒️
Dankie/ Merci. It is amazing.... Cutting trees and make it usable. Mazing. My Dad(1931-1984) had a farm at Paarl, near Cape Town, with to many trees on it. He had a 3 Fase motor min mill and it was heavy as hell. Indeed amazing....
Very nice mill and excellent demonstration! Stay safe!
Awesome presentation! Well done!
Another great video April. I can see that you are very happy about this sawmill. Therefore I am satisfied that it is a very good piece of equipment.
Keep the great videos coming.
Thanks for sharing and God bless
Thank you Roy. : )
Great video and a beautiful Chainsaw Mill. What a clear, concise explanation of an amazing Product!
Thank you very much!
I own a logosol bigmill with the 9’ foot aluminum beam and extrusions that attach to each end of the log. I use a Dolmar chainsaw which is about 80cc.
I’ve enjoyed sawing with it over the years but because of my back I must sell... if anybody is looking for a good deal. I can’t say a bad thing about Logosol. Very good build quality! There’s nothing like taking a log from the woods that would just rot away and turning it in to something beautiful. April enjoy your new Logosol!
Nice I always enjoy watching your videos good job that looks like a very good saw mill
Bought the 6m yesterday, from Sage atFox. Just watched your video this evening. Thank you. I had planned to do a video myself, but couldn’t have done a better job. Russ
April, you never cease in impressing me. You take on everything you do with a vengeance and a style that own you can provide.
Thanks for sharing your dream and all of your well thought out content. Felix
Aw, well thank you Felix. I'm glad you enjoy my style. : )
Dang it! Something else for the must have list
Right?! Me, too!
Nice video April! Thanks for sharing it with us!💖👌👍😎JP
Superbe machine ! Je regarde vos vidéos et je peux vous dire que vous êtes plus travailleuse et efficace que beaucoup d'homme ici en France ! Bravo à vous !
You are a hoot. Love you channel. Keep up the great work.
just asked people for a mill suggestion on a recent post and BOOM! everyone said come check out this video, and they were right. thanks for taking the time to make the video and share with us!
Ha, that's great. I'm glad it helped!
I'm real thankful that you shared this video April I've been looking for a log mill for a minute and I just quite didn't like what I saw out there. Maybe this one will be the one! The Swedish peeps really do know their way around wood, and they definitely can build some fine machinery fir shur...
You did a very good job demonstrating the Mail working with it so keep up the good work and I will watch God bless
Thank you very much!
AWESOME DEMOSTRATION YOUNG LADY, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
Thanks!
Very cool April!!!
You're such an impressive young woman. You started out making videos with your phone & now you're over a million subscribers with your own shop. You're an American success story. Best part is you have remained humble. 👍🏻
Bro
I'm glad you went to the heavier clothing and face shield and chaps. If you've seen chainsaw injuries from a thrown chain or kick back you know what I'm talking about! Imagine throwing a chain horizontally at chest height! Gnarly!
So cool! I've been building a much smaller chainsaw mill, using a Skilsaw Carpentry Chainsaw. That Logosol is WAY nicer. :) Thanks for the detailed review!
Nice!! Powerful MS661 saw 👍👍..
Congrats on becoming a distributor!
Hi April really good review
I have one for years. sawing mostly oak. Love it
Question> I noticed that there appeared to be a para-cord type rope that elevated / lowered your logs with your Logosol. Is there any concern for that to weather if left outside? And how is it attached? I'm pondering which set-up I want to go with to cut hardwoods (ie: OAK) and I keep coming back to the Logosol. My concern is with 24" or larger dia oak logs that are 12' or longer. THANK YOU for this vid and all of the others!! Keep it up
Always a pleasure April. I remember watching you before you quit your day job to do this CZcams thing full time, so glad you did. You were made for it. Your professionalism and charisma make it really fun to watch. Good luck and continued success !!!
I would imagine that one of the benefits of milling logs, is the smell of fresh saw dust! =)
As someone who does it, dust is not a benefit.
@@BWreSlippySlope pretty sure the operative word there was smell, not sawdust.
A new product line April's mesquite grill sprinkles
Great walk through. Looks like you have the F2 and the F2+. I just bought the F2+ last year and I really like it. I was hoping that it would cut wider slabs though. I also have the mill setup in 1/2 size mode. So the stands are about 1m (3' apart). I have an MS 660 but am limited to 24" bar if I use the carriage. I'm going to design a carriage for my 36" bar. I'm milling short but large diameter logs. I had to use my Granberg recently on a large walnut log that was only 55" long and would have loved to be able to use the Logosol.
hell yeah that looks awesome.
Hi April, I found your shop the other day by accident and stopped by. You weren’t there but I talked to a very nice fellow with a big white beard. He showed me your giant bandsaw and this chainsaw mill. I can’t wait till you open up and I can follow you in person!
Good to see. Wish you the best of success
Thank you very much!
Thank you for your great videos always welcome
Glad you like them!
Really cool system!
Thanx 4 using metric-system for the fist time in your videos. Makes it more understandable for the rest of the world! 😉
A wonderful tool 👍💪😎
Very cool - agree with your impression of the thought that went into this. Now I want to start!
What size bar was that?
Very cool april to here u are going 2 be working with logosol. I think they make great equipment. & congrads on ur new busi/wood shed. I wish the best. May see u soon. From TN. southern wood workin
Thanks 👍
So excited to become part of this family of millers... never done any of this but have been researching chainsaw milling. This looks to be the absolute safest so far. I have bought a few acres of forest land zoned AG!!!! that I am looking to build on ...and hate to see the forest aka homesite cut up as firewood ....when it could be worth so much more! Not even talking money wise just as material for anything your hearts desire! Congrats on the dealership! Hope Canton Ga isn’t to far to ship too! Wish I had seen this before moving from Louisiana...
GA not too far at all! We ship all over the US. Thanks for watching.
There’s a guy on the show “Mountain Men” (Marty) that is a trapper. He flies to his trapping grounds in Alaska and stays in log cabins all winter when trapping.
He used a chainsaw mill very similar, maybe same name brand, to build his cabins. He flew the mill out to his very remote locations in a small plane. Then he’d take each piece of the mill to the build site. He would cut each tree and then use this mill to mill the logs and build his cabins.
So if he could get his out to his places in a small aircraft and build several cabins I believe this would be great for anyone to use
What a great story! I would love to see this show
I've seen it! Man that guy is something else. Builds log cabins by himself. I also saw one where his snowmobile broke down and he had to walk home 10 miles through the snow in -40 F temps at night! Too bad he quit the show.
Cool setup Apil , I like it!
I'm glad you like it
New sub to your channel, I been watching your videos ,,,amazing very impress, I'm retired from tree trimming services and I don't remember seeing this kind of equipment. thanks for sharing. 👍
Very Cool April👍
This looks great iam in the market for my first mill and this looks ideal and affordable plus I see I can get them in england👍great advert.
Added to my wish list.❤💯💥👍
I just purchased the F2 from April (it is still on the way). I was excited to buy it from her because the 'east coast' dealer that I contacted was not easy to deal with. With April it was quick and easy. Excited to get this thing set up and start milling.
Thanks! Hope you enjoy it!
I'm a newer subscriber in Austin and I'm counting down the days until the wood shed opens! this is so cool! I have wanted to make a live edge sofa table for years now and I recently got a bid from a local guy for $5000. Pretty sure I can buy the log, the mill, and a welder for the legs for less than that!
You totally can! Ha. I can't wait to open either! It should be soon though. I'm thinking of having Maker Meetups where the mill can be running and people can even be making live edge tables as a class. We'll see.....: )
Havent been to your channel in a bit great to see you are still going strong awesome what u do now and how far u have come !
Nice find. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
April Wilkerson .... I drool over (not on) tools that do the job. Currently perplexed trying to work the inside of a strip plank canoe. The outside is fiberglassed. The inside needs to be reduced by 2/3 of the wood strip planks thickness. Or more. Reduced to a mere sheer veneer the inside can then be fiberglassed. Every curve everywhere is different. And concave. Currently using a tubular pool foam floaty thingy wrapped in 80grit. If I could only get it to spin ....??.?
Nice piece of equipment. Logosol is Texan for log o saw too!
nice work
Yess!! Looks like I got the first thumbs up... if only by a few seconds 😂😂😂. Best wishes from my workshop in Scotland 🏴
Hola April felicidades por tu video esta padre sobre todo las herramientas que usaste
Alright, you got me, I’m coming to check out the shed and the mill. I’ve been looking to get into milling for a while now
Be careful, it's extremely addicting. : )
I would definitely recomand shimming as you are cutting.
What a beautiful cuting wood with nice chainsaw, awesome wood cuting work, awesome you are madam, thanks share with us madam.
Looks like fun.
I typically only watch women's channels on youtube if they are wearing bikinis. The reason I mention this is because when I watch April's videos, I get lost by her amazing presentations that are direct-to-the-point intelligent as well as methodical. I get so overwhelmed by the vast amounts of knowledge she is sharing that I forget that she is in fact an amazingly beautiful woman. This woman is a real deal craftsman and I applaud her commitment to learning everything about a topic before addressing us with it.
Thank you. I appreciate your seeing past I'm a young female and gleaning the information I'm actually passing along. Thanks for watching.
waaahhh , this really inspires me to make one for my ws.
That is a nice and versatile tool
I'm glad you think so! I agree
Looks awesome. I want one!!
Happy to sell you one!
Thanks for the video. Looks like a great option. Any feedback with how it is to load with out a tractor?
I don't know whats prettier, the slab you cut or your giddiness in the video...:) either way, thank you and keep it up. Great job!
Very cool!!
thank you for the complete review. I am looking for a solution to mil branches, would this work or it is too big (Kiawe trees) for that scenario?
Awesome, thanks from Oz April, definately will be looking seriously at one of these, what is maximum size and weight the f2 can handle? Aussie hardwood is very heavy!!
Hola, me gustan mucho tus videos y los veo con mi esposa y mis hijas a ellas les encanta son tus fans y te ven como fuente de inspiración.
Saludos.
Love a good chainsaw video!!
That's good to hear. : )
Been looking at one for a while thank you for video this is great i love it you have me sold now thank you again hmu !!
Good for you!
Thx for the run-thru. I had looked at these a year or so ago. Love the technology and craftsmanship. At the time I do t think they had the slabber. I don’t see the advantage of needing lifting all logs up on this model. It seems like it also would limit the size and shape that would fit comfortably up on this machine. I won’t be doing a lot of commercial work, maybe none. But I have about 50 logs of my own that I want to cut and save for my own use. I had given some serious thought to a Grandburg. But it seemed kind of klunky and slow. Milled lumber in Southern, IN is fairly cheap because everybody and their brother seems to have a mill. But the Big Slabber seems like it might just be what I’m really looking for. Why didn’t you look at that model? It does look like it will take more time between cuts to re-set the runners. But it sure looks like The Big Slabber is more stable than a Granburg and it sure looks like it’s faster than a Gbrg on the cut. I value your thoughts, love your channel- what am I missing? I’m pretty sure I want to buy a Big Slabber.
I have an M8 and really loved how easy it was to cut repeatable dimensions.
How do you have your log grapple attached to your bucket? I could not quite see the connection and it looked really solid. Thanks!
Woooowww nice!!!
Lots of good stuff in this vid, thanks. Nice looking rig. Interesting to see all the milled timber slabs stacked and stickered in the background, so wonder at what stage do you need to get these under cover? And could you please tell me what the log pick up tong things are called attached to the bucket on your tractor? Cheers, David
Brilliant review - And yes they are in Australia as well....
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it.
That is an amazing tool! I am starting a separate savings account now.. lol... I live down south where there are lots of T-Storms constantly blowing over old growth White Oak and Live Oak trees and many others. I pass by these downed trees that will ultimately get burned in a pile and just think what a waste. Can you do a video on how to price slabs? I know each geographic local would be different but maybe just a generalization?
Nice Video 📹. #STAYSAFE HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL MOTHERS.
Nice!
