This video is about the talented actress Jenna Ortega. She hit box office success with Scream movie series as well as recently causing a stir for her acting role alongside Martin Freeman in Miller's Girl. Which depicts her in an age gap relationship. Jenna Ortega's most famously known for palying Wednesday Adams in Tim Burton's "Wednesday" which was one of the highest grossing and most watched series on Netflix.
Recently Jenna Ortega's face looks quite a bit different from her younger years although she is still very young at just 21 years old. Jenna's facial changes may be natural or from plastic surgery and cosmetic procedures. In this video I'll give my analysis and opinion on her face changes.

I find it so ironic that plastic surgery began in the hopes of looking younger and now we have people younger trying to look older. It befuddles the mind.

That's because most nowadays aren't going for younger but for "statuesque beautiful and flawlessly carved" which often ends up making them look decades older

It might seem like they’re doing it to look older (bc it makes them look older 😂 ) but I’m pretty sure most Celebs are doing it to keep up with todays “beauty standards” which are completely unattainable because they are heavily influenced by FILTERS and FACETUNED PHOTOS!! Ridiculous. Then they get one thing done and that makes another thing look different so they have to compensate for that it’s a vicious cycle. Not to mention the ABUSE of fillers 😂 Which are now starting to migrate and look crazy! But we can thank Kris Kardashian bc without her we probably wouldn't have content like this!
And then complain when she's 30 that she's only getting roles to play the mom.

You still keep the fat in your cheeks in your early 20s. You only start losing it I think when you get really older, hence why removing the fat makes her look older.

I don't think one will generally lose buccal fat with age, with age it stays about the same size, and optically looks bigger (due to skin laxity).

Very true. I'm 32 and lost about 20% of my buccal fat overnight. Very noticeable in photos and all natural. Just woke up one day with a different feature.
The saddest part is that her unique and beautiful face is gone! Why?!

Out of the many celebs you've covered on this channel, this is the saddest case for me. I'm not a fan of Jenna nor Wednesday and I've never left a comment on your vid, but she's so so young and should be pursuing younger roles instead of mature ones. She has many years ahead of her to appear mature and should've lived out the look of her youth. Not to say she can't decide for herself but just because you're already 18 doesn't mean you make good decisions.

If she wants to make her eyes larger again post mid face lift, there are procedures for that. Various canthoplasty options are open to her.

TV really hates a baby face. Obviously we have no idea her motivations for these surgeries but if it was to broaden her range of work, it makes me really sad. Her baby face really set her apart- as a fellow baby face I would love to see more sweet faces on screen playing adult/mature roles.
Same. Hate Hollywood’s simplicity checklist idea of what a compatible face and role look like. People are much more complex than that that isn’t dictated by their body.
Unfortunately the world seems to no like baby faces. I get so much crap for mine. I have a v shape underneath all my facial fat but still just considered not “hot” or pretty enough because of it.

Search *Sabrina Carpenter young Teenage drama workshop flickr* . HD photo of her before any surgery. Different everything. Different nose, diff eyebrow placement, diff eyelid space, diff lips, diff chin [her chin has undergone fluctuation through the years, google sabrina 2020 hulu big time adolescence when her chin was the sharpest]. Her cheeks are fuller yet better sculpted these days too. I wonder what was done to achieve those results. The latest she’s done a mini-Buccal fat removal just subtle enough. Her surgeon is clearly skilful. Most recently she has scaled back with her chin and lips too as they look less overdone and much more natural. This is after people started to notice the changes.
She lost her iconic, big-eyed look! So she removed the fat in her face - only to have to replace it w an implant + face lift? These doctors are so wrong for doing this to her 😭
Her wide eyes really set her apart. That should’ve been used as her physical quality to distinct her from other actors.

Sometimes this is called fake smile, I was depressed in the past and when I look at the photos my lips are smiling but my eyes stayed the same, no lift, just this empty stare

Buccal fat removal doesn’t make sense to me cause you naturally lose that fat so what the heck is going to happen when they’re in their 30’s when it starts to go away naturally? I don't think buccal fat goes away. It's deep fat. What goes away is cheek fat, the "baby fat." To some extent, at that. I lost some baby fat between 15 and 16, that's it. Anything I had at 16 is still there 40 years later... just not in the same place. But when I do the mirror lift (lifting your face in the mirror), I can see it's still there. This is why I don't believe we lose fat volume. Doctors say we lose volume, implying it's fat so they can charge us for fat grafting, but the real volume we lose is bone, something they can't fix. Fat doesn't go away, it just migrates south!
I’m guessing Hollywood years move faster than the way us regular people live. Assuming their 20’s is quintessential in building a rapport of gigs and what the trajectory their career will lead, so they look the part to be taken seriously and get better roles.

She took wanting to look like a Tim Burton character too seriously. I think she was already such a good fit for his world just by being who she is, and also the way she looks. So young to be getting these procedures done, when your face changes naturally as you get older and lose baby fat.

I hate that baby faced celebrities change their face for more angular features (her, Lily-Rose Depp, Dove Cameron, Anya Taylor Joy etc). I also have myself quite a baby face, doll-like features, and it's like it's treated like it's a flaw. It's not ! All types of faces are fine !

Age has nothing to do when it comes to beautification procedures. Whether you're 18 or 35, the goal is to modify your natural features. Doesn't make it better at 35.
This argument stems from conflating beautification procedures with restorative ones, such as a facelift to correct sag.

Nearly everyone in Hollywood has gotten something done because you can no longer secure roles/compete with others, unless you get work done. It's not enough to be naturally beautiful/handsome, you have to be perfection, beyond stunning, unattainably beautiful. They do these small tweaks here and there, and never admit to it so that the general public will always idolize them for being symbols of effortless physical perfection. But it's all a lie. Most start getting work done very young so you never even notice. (Even Zendays has had some work done)

Furthermore, without getting any work done, she'd look a bit more... avagerage, but instead she looks beautiful. The point is that people in Hollywood are constantly "looksmaxing," so even if they don't necessarily look unattainably beautiful, that is their goal, and they will try to look as youthful and beautiful for as long as possible, so that they have the most relevance and longevity with their acting careers.

You know some celebrities claim to not have gotten “Botox” which can be misleading because Botox is just brand of those injections. There are other brands that do the same thing. 😂

I was coming to comment something similar! I turned 40 this year and have a naturally long, thin face, and so now nature is doing its thing lol 🫠 I would have killed for soft round baby cheeks to carry me into this next phase of life.

Jessica Alba transitioned to more mature/ sex appeal roles without having to get rid of her baby cheeks when she was Jenna’s age. Granted, she was mostly scantily clad in those roles…but still, she kept her buccal fat.

I said "Nooooo" with such sadness when Lorry mentioned the mid face lift. I think Jenna's eyes were so captivating and she had the look that worked for characters like Wednesday and anything Tim Burton-esque.
It’s ironic, you figure if you had a “young” look you’d want to preserve that for as long as possible because the longer you look young in Hollywood, the longer you can book roles because your casting age is set further back. That would be my logic at least… It reminds me of Bianca Lawson who was 30 at the time and playing a high school character on Pretty Little Liar’s.

Literally during/after Wednesday I noticed she looked more intimidating and less approachable but I couldn’t pinpoint what it was. She just looked meaner than she did before.

And she either lost it naturally, or had her beautiful chin cleft removed/altered that it's hardly visible anymore. You can lose a chin cleft without having work done but this gurl def did something to her nose. I feel like she's trying to fix her face to look less baby faced so she can land better roles, except her voice is still stuck at 16

The buccal fat removal trend drives me nuts. They have every right to do whatever they want to their body. But it's crazy that these people who already have gorgeous, prominent cheekbones feel like they're not naturally beautiful enough. Meanwhile I feel like my round face looks like a canteloupe in every photo I take, and I'm stuck with it.

I disagree with the buccal fat. In recent photos it looks like she’s sucking her cheeks in to get the chiseled affect. In younger photos she’s relaxes her mouth more. She also had such a baby face that aging/weight loss can make a big difference. She also smokes cigarettes, don’t know how much. That that contributes to weight loss and a sunken appearance

Most of this is natural ageing and informed by the fact she smokes. Not everything is surgery. You could look at pictures of my face over the last 10 years, I've had nothing done, but a lot has changed.
I honest love her natural look best. She didnt need any work done at all at her age. I understand if she wanted to look a certain way, but her big round eyes and soft round cheeks were gorgeous

it doesn't i noticed it when looking at her nose that something must have been done the tip of ur nose shouldnt change that much. and then i kept looking and noticed she did have work done this is the first confirmation from a doctor i have seen. but with documentation she started way before wednesday. it isnt hard to see if you look but it kinda made me feel bad when i noticed she had work done.

Eva has had a ton of work done. And she really should stop. The lip filler is so bad.
It makes me sad that Ryan Gosling also started dabbling in cheek fillers. He naturally has flatter cheekbones but they suit him. The filler looks really weird on him.

@@Ana.luiza11 You’re right. But she hadn’t had the cheek implants that narrow her eyes. That’s the worst procedure she’s had done because her eye shape narrowing changed her more than anything else.
Not to judge her or any other celebrities that get plastic surgeries so young but its so sad they dont let their body fully grow and develop to see if they actually like their mature features before deciding to change them so young.

@@edwardatebella i mean these last few weeks/months. The first surgeries i liked. She seems to have put in some fillers and botox in that take away the ESSENCE of her face. For example, before her face was long - now it seems more rounded. Her eyes also seem more upward and upper part of the face. I really dont know what she did, as i didnt pay too much attention, but i saw a CZcams short on her on some latest big event and saw she looked PUFFY(good in generaly but puffy for her prior look)
@@edwardatebella so, inshort, i dont like her new look just because i liked her essence more before, you saw her face and immediatley knew it was hee, even after those first surgeries. From both looks she was irrefutabley Zendaya. Its like if your friend only had a nose joy or lip filler or something more minor than that and had not messed with the full structure and compossition of their face. Although i think demi lovatos nose job really took out the harmony from her face, so even minor "tweaks" can do this, depending on the face, features and their harmony.

You’re absolutely right about the Hollywood industry. I work with them as a cosmetologist and we’re being told by actors or by their agents that they need to make face changes to appeal to the audiences. So sad yet typical for us.

My face changed around age of 21-23. I used to have bit fuller face but then it got more hollow. And my brows look higher now than before. I don't know. Not everyone has done plastic surgery.

Damn I really thought her jaw was looking stronger with hollow cheeks and I thought I must have remembered wrongly.

Lorry can you make a video about your opinion on filler? There’s a lot of doctors who came out in recent years and had said that they stopped treating their clients with filler due to migration and the fact that X ray scans prove it’s actually almost impossible to dissolve filler completely. I’m on the fence between getting chin and lips filler because I live in LA and almost everybody has filler and it’s SO obvious. :(

7:30 i had this difference in my cheek bones from being in a calorie deficit i doubt she got buccal fat removal at this point. and in that picture after that i think she was just biting her cheeks in the picture. also the 2023-2024 difference in cheeks is just weight gain, she's gained weight and her body is very different so it makes sense for her face to be too.
Nah, I'm sorry, but I don't see it. I've been looking at past photos from late 2023 to now, and I don't think she's gotten any work done to her face, and she sure as hell did not get breast implants.
I think a lot of the photos look like she did get work done because of photo angles, the makeup she's wearing, and the facial expressions she's doing.
I also looked a photo of her at the Emmy's with her mom, and her facial structure is starting to grow similarly to her mothers. Probably because of genetics and not plastic surgery.

@Tiger-cm2rp mfer, I did watch the video. Hell, i was literally staring at an Instagram picture of her and her mom at the Emmy Awards back in January, and they quite literally have a similar facial structure. She did NOT have plastic surgery!
