  • I converted an old Super Cycles bike into a DIY E-Bike with a few parts. My goal was to be able to do this conversion dirt cheap and without buying a Hub motor kit.
This is part 2 with a pulse width modulation controller added to help control the power. The button I had used in part one was melting from the current and thus a PWM was used to handle the power instead.

This was fascinating to watch and realize that someone has done an even worse DIY ebike work than I have.

Hi Tiltnation, thanks for sharing! Rest assured, I use only the strongest duct tape and prayers 🙏 available 😅
Im cooking up an idea for a trike that I think will up the sketch factor with plastic drive train parts, if it doesnt blow up in my face I think I will share it

But the most important question. How fast did this thing run?

Hi Micheal, thanks for the comment, Im based out of the maple suyrp drinking land where e-bikes are not allowed to go faster than 20mph on motor power alone ... so lets say 20mph 😉

make your videos bit longer and talk in them explain the process in little more detail and you will
    get 100k and more

Thanks for the tip, I hate the sound of my own voice but I think you are right that audio commentary is better than text, I will just have to work on doing voice overs 😀

@@TheDIYMakersManifest Don't worry mate. Most people don't like their voice, because they know it by listening "internally" and it seems off when recorded. Completely normal phenomenon :) For others it's just a voice. Keep up the good work. I like seeing real DIY, not only expensive crap. You're going the right way!
