Happy 21st Birthday, Sonic the Hedgehog!

- So I made this video to celebrate Sonic the Hedgehog's 21st Birthday. I decided to make a tribute to the franchise and included the games that I personally think should be and that I wanted to be included. Because I was working on this with pressure on me from something else, I just did not have the interest and time to include all the games in here. I made a selection and am happy with the selection that I made. If you don't like the selection, make a tribute video that's fancy like this yourself. Thank you.
I do apologize for the lack of variety in levels and somewhat poor picture quality for Sonic the Hedgehog 2006, Sonic and the Secret Rings, Sonic Unleashed and Sonic and the Black Knight. I don't own any of these anymore, so I had to resort to downloading videos from the Internet, as I couldn't capture any footage myself.

Glad you liked it. And the music is from the Sonic Generations soundtrack, and called ''CHALLENGE / MISSION 5''. It's an arrangement of the Sonic 3D Saturn main theme.
It gave me hell when I was a kid. Always ran out of time trying to figure it out. Of course, I find it bloody easy now to get past that bit.
Thanks a bunch! It seems the effort I've put into this paid off in the end. Looking back, there are a few things I could have done to improve the video, but I am happy with the final result either way. Let's see how great my next year's efforts are going to be. :)

Yeah, same here. I always used to do the bouncing trick at first which eventually made you glitch through the thing. Until one day I played as Tails, and I couldn't do the bouncing trick anymore...
Hehe, finally someone who speaks on the Carnival Night barrel! I was just waiting for someone to mention it. There's still another thing in there that I've heard nobody about yet though. xD

You're probably right, but there's always going to be debating over what is a main title and what isn't. I just felt that both The Secret Rings and The Black Knight should be in there.
The storybook games are canon in storyline. I left the Rush and Advance games out for the reason that it's hard to get proper footage for DS games. I think of the Rush and Advance series as sort of the same, so if I leave one, all will be left out. And like I said in the description, I was working on this under conditions with my personal life, so I didn't have enough time to include them either. I am sorry if you're disappointed by it.
The song is from the official soundtrack of Sonic Generations, and is titled ''CHALLENGE / MISSION 5''. It's an arranged version of Sonic 3D's main theme, so you should be able to find it as that, too.

About the music: yeah, I put a song in there that not everyone knows on purpose. How many times have we heard His World, Open Your Heart, Nickelback and the cheesy Live and Learn in a fan video? I don't even like any of these with the exception of His World.
And I might do that, although I'd rather do something else next year than a tribute to his games. Not sure what yet. I have an entire year to think of that one. xD
It wasn't all based on story. I mainly put the story book games in there because they were the only ones on Wii, with the exception of Colours.
Part 2 of Comment : I was talking about Generations on the first part of my first reply to this. I am glad you did atleast include Sonic CD,that is considered canon. Considering it shows the debut of Amy and Metal. I would've liked it if you just included Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles as the same game because they are. I also noticed you included the crap which was Sonic 06. Perfect gameplay I see,however I don't see how it's canon anymore because all the events that happen don't exist anymore.
I am just going to keep this simple: I included whatever I felt should be included, and can be seen as main title in my eyes. Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles are both their own registered titles, and are officially not one game. And I couldn't just leave Sonic 2006 out because it's crappy, that's not how it works. Sonic 2006 is Adventure 3, really, so I should have left those out, too? People would go mad.

Yeah I know, that's why I used it. Some people seem to dislike it, though, they'd rather have yet another Sonic video with Live and Learn or His World on the background. Well, not me. And the person who composed this was a male. :)
Yeah I noticed how you included the Carnival Night barrel when I first watched this the other day. I forgot to mention it. Probably the most annoying part of the zone in my opinion. If you don't know what you're doing that is.

Well the game that the song was originally written for is not included, no, but the arrangement used in this video was, namely in Sonic Generations. ;)
And yeah, it's the infamous broken physics in Sonic 4: Episode I. I thought I'd poke in a few funny and recognizable references in this tribute. Sonic 3's Carnival Night barrel being another one. :)

Wait a sec.....*reads the Description* all main Sonic ga-WAIT A SECOND! THE STORYBOOK GAMES AREN'T CANON! The Advance games are though,same for the Rush ones. Other then that,excellent video.
I think the only ones with the video problems is the lack of certain games (Rush, Advances and Generations 3DS). But you already said why not put them. And the music, it is not so striking in the series if you understand me.
What about already begin to make a video with all the games in order of launch, to next year?

How? They're more spinoff than main. That's why no levels from those games or any sign of it existing are seen. Not including the cutscene where Sonic mentions trapping Genies in Magical Lamps. They are part of the story,but they're not really canon. They're like,side stories like Tails Adventure and Knuckles Chaotix. It's sorta like how the Mario series works. Luigi's Mansion AND Yoshi's Island can connect to the Mario series in many ways. Even if they are spinoffs. I'm not THAT disappointed.

Why is Secret Rings and Black Knight in it, it's NOT a main series title it's actually a spin-off title as the storybook series along with the Sonic Riders series.

I dislike Shadow the Hedgehog, as character and game. And yea I hate Sonic 06 too, but it's an obvious main title. ShtH isn't to me.
