Edit: the "failing" I'm referring to is me not being able to do this in the vanilla game, and that it hurts so much every time I bump into a fake unlock, especially thanks to my passion for video games. I don't want this getting mixed up AGAIN, like every other fucking thing I say on this platform.

You forgot to mention, you have to have S ranked the 5 missions on every stage for this to work, beaten Amy's campaign in under an hour, acquired 240 emblems, and beat every treasure hunting stage as big the cat in that order as well
This is true, you also need to beat Biolizard 10 times and must hold Z on the last result screen.

I unlocked Hydra Shadow in Shadow the Hedgehog and also i've beaten the game 44 times i swear. And i'm gonna continue to beat it more until i get at leaat 50 routes conpleted. Then i'l upload a video to prove it. Hopefully someday i can beat all 326 different routes.

As a now 32 year old man who played sa2 in the 2000's and beat it got all a ranks and emblems and hoping to get super sonic but it was just green hill only to get tricked by this 😢 I almost bought the game again just to try it 1 more time 😢😢

Guys, I tested it and it's real, it works, I also tried it on the Dreamcast and it was the same, the owner of the video is wrong, it works on the console.

As someone who used mod on pc version before the game broke down, I recognize that character select screen before selecting a level so mods made it possible, so this video is true but pretty much on pc only………who am I kidding? its real as long the video showed it is real, mods made it possible so its basically not fake anymore just like Sonic in melee’s screenshot turned out to be real because those screenshot were taken from 2022 from the future when we were in the 2005 timeline and now we have proof that it was real all along, they were just unreleased until the mods were released and they are real so there you have it

Hm. I thought this is an unused mechanic that was restricted to the multiplayer under the same instructions
would it be possible to modify the live and learn event song to have a proper loop point mix? It's my preferred (i use the instrumental theme in sa1 for super sonic, feels appropriate) and the fade to quiet then back to the start of the song is the only part of that feels jank.
(Also, can we have a toggle for floating on water? I turned off flight to keep it "close to how a true sonic team implementation" might go, but then in metal harbor if i'm shadow and i fall into the water i can't get back up and have to wait for the rings to run out lol)
There is a mod on gamebanana that fixes the live and learn event version, as for the floating on water I'll see if I can add that on a future update.
