It Started Out Great, But... Solo Beach Camping On An Uninhabited Island - Day 1

- The weather is always the biggest deciding factor on these solo camping trips, especially when going to remote areas... but let's add some blood sucking bugs and no food to the mix to be sure... I had a great time regardless and some great catch and cooks were had, but stick around for the rest of this series. All I will say is, it ends in with a twist... enjoy!

Whenever I camp in remote areas that are seemingly devoid, or at least challenged of life, I always wonder what all those damned bugs survived on before I got there to feed them !
I thought the same thing! The female mosquitos need blood to accomplish reproduction, I think. What else is around that island to provide the blood when you weren't there??

These islands are just so gorgeous. Mosquitoes aside, it's a little slice of paradise.
That reef is Pristeen on another level. This is the "real great barrier reef", I miss the central coast and Whitsundays, all those 74 islands such a glorious spot indeed. just minus the cyclones.
Mate, you must know the health risks associated with mossies so slap some Deet on or one day you’ll come home with malaria as an unwanted souvenir! On a “just in case basis” I always carry a couple of long life MRE’s as a back up, they’ve saved the day for me on several occasions when I’ve been out coastal walking in the UK and haven’t made it to the planned overnight stop. Mosquitoes in Australia do not carry the malaria parasite.

Plus your fork that you sit on trees etc XD? Hi, I do the same thing using a jetski. The Whitsundays is good. One of the biggest differences to my loneliness and boredom at times is to take an iPad with a few predownloaded movies and also a comfortable chair. Especially at night. Haven’t done the Keppel area yet.
It’s a shame you feel the need to explain why you are doing everything, ie: That’s not flesh it’s all gut cavity etc... bloody trolls moaning about anything and everything. You inspire me to want to get out and explore more. Love the vids mate keep it up.
