You need to fix outboard position, it drags too much water and creating huge resistance. Also whats the point of having radio next to your mouth? Did you ever had to use it for any serious condition in many years you been on water?

OMG Rod! #1 beautiful underwater shots, thank you for those (although it is still sad to see the reef not fully itself) BUT that beautiful Wobbegong Shark at 48:23 seriously screamed out in joy seeing it. It looked like a fake, it was so pretty. From your experience in the area, was the reef in recovery mode or still downtrend?

Damn, I LOVE Islands.... My favorite place to camp when I'm up in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. Funny enough I met an Australian guy the last time I was up there, he'd been coming up with his American friend since the 70s. I'd love to see you do a video up there, unfortunately (or fortunately tbh) it's kind of a hidden gem way up north in Minnesota so it's far away from where most fishing youtubers will find themselves, ha.

Love your videos Rod. As an experienced freediver I feel compelled to give you a good bit of advice regarding diving alone particularly considering the majority of accidents occur whilst spear fishing. As you perform repeat dives the blood will accumulate CO2 volume and O2 will decrease. This is known as hypoxia. In my training we were taught to wait a good few minutes and up to ten minutes of solid breathe ups before repeat dives. This allows CO2 to dissipate normally. I had one close call performing several repeats on a line to 20 metres whereby in the last 5 metre ascent came very close to blackout. It came without warning and from then on I've always been very careful. Take care out there bro 🤙🏼

What are the chances of that shark coming after you? I have zero experience in this regard and I'd probably try to go ashore ASAP.

Just got onto this chanel. Must say, of all the ones I watch, this is really what I like. No loud screaming and theatrics, no stupid stunts, no false claims. Just pure good videography, sense of humour, amazing scenes and good old fishing and living. You deserve much more. Your Chanel is really good. Work on the algorithm. Great stuff. God, every time I watch your vids Rod I get extremely hungry. I love fish tacos.

I wonder if Australia has been seeding the atmosphere like the US has been? I suspect what they are doing, intensionally or unintentionally, is killing crops and sea beds by making excuses for scientific research. This can also change runoff and possibly affect salinity. I believe they spray an aluminum salt to condense clouds, and aluminum is not good for plants or animals.
