Love Marlene in this flim I must confess I never really sat down and watched the whole film at once. Never really got into Marlene's movies. Yes I always knew what a great live Cabaret singer she was, and the fact both my parents were teenagers when World War II broke out in Europe, and I was born to them in there lives late as a late child in the late 60's for them so by the time I was born both my parents were almost shy of two years they botg would be turning 40, and both my parents were born on the same year. Because, of this fact I learned to appreciated stars and singers from that era to.
Because this scene paid off in the twist ending, it could not be publicized that this was actually Marlene, and cost her a deserved Oscar nomination for her performance. She is nothing short of superb in this movie.
Oh the classics. Classic film, classic actors, and classic CLASSIC mystery writer Agatha Christie! It doesn't get much better.
this movie received 5 out of 5 stars and yet it was still under rated
What a great film, what a suburb cast. Five stars.

@@pix046 It's been 64 years; I think people have had enough time to watch the film.
Wow Marlene can really pull off using the Cockney accent in this film.
great movie
I keep trying to see Marlene, and I still don't recognize her!
Never in a million years did I think that was Marlene..she completely fooled me..I was thinking to myself who the hell is this rough looking actress.
MARLENE IS GREAT
She's great so is Laughton
Laughton was one the all time greats.
She sounds more like an Aussie ! Brilliant cast though . Laughton , Dietrich
and the great John Williams ( Dial M for Murder ).....underused here .
That cockney woman IS Marlene Dietrich.........amazing acting.
Henry Daniell, great character actor played Mayhew, Leonard Voel's Solicitor. Wonderful actor.

Ohhh! I really had the same thoughts, because I didn't recognize her, even if I had some doubts...
a-hem, I'm such a naive spectateur, I agree... :-)
Oscar deserved for Marlene.

Full movie
Euston Station doesn't look much like that these days!
Ian Wolfe
Pretty awful London accent but if you were face to face with her in a station cafe you probably wouldn't argue.
is this supposed to be a cockney accent she's doing? Genuine question
It makes sense in the end . The big twist
Second only to Dick Van Dyke in the ‘worst cockney accent’ competition!
Her voice was dubbed.
Her voice was NOT dubbed. Where did you come up with this misinformation?
Look later in film
@@constancekreese4921 "Please do not reveal the ending". That's what comes later in the film, but everyone knows now.
No
A brilliant piece of bad acting!
How do you mean that??
