Colin Club for the supporting role... Witness For The Prosecution (1957) is the most famous film based on the work of the British writer Agatha Christie, and her novels are considered the best-selling in the world. The film is a unique example of the unique style of American director Billy Wilder. The film was starring the British actor Charles Laughton, the American Tyrone Power, and the German Marlene Dietrich. Tyrone Power) murdered a wealthy, elderly woman in her own home. He had met her by chance, and their relationship became stronger and he visited her at home more than once a week, without their relationship being more than cordial, although the woman was in fact in love with him. The police accused Nard. Because he was the last one to visit the victim in her home and she found a blood-stained jacket in his house, and the victim recommended that the accused inherit most of her wealth. Lenard claimed that he arrived home at 9:26 at night, and that his wife (Marlene Dietrich) could confirm that, and that he was home before the murder. As for the reason for consolidating his relationship with the murdered woman, he claimed that he was trying to obtain financing for a small business to save him from the severe bankruptcy he was suffering from. She was the wife of Larned, obviously much older than he was. And he had met her in the German city of Hamburg in 1945, where she was working as a singer in a notorious bar, and she spent the night with him in her residence in exchange for a box of coffee. Take refuge.. to respond. To three great lawyers, especially the famous aristocratic lawyer Wilfred (Charles Luton), who was suffering from heart problems, and his nurse (Ailsa Lancaster) constantly harassed him and accompanied him wherever he went, in order to maintain his health. The obvious impression he left was . Let's respond. The lawyers have a very friendly personality, there was no impurity in his history, and the police arrested him in the office of his famous lawyer. He meets the lawyer. Wilfred. The wife, as he finds himself in front of a hard-hearted woman, shocked him when she said that she would testify in court as her husband wanted, regardless of the truth, which raises the astonishment of the lawyer. I heard the voice of the accused talking to the dead woman at around 9:30, however, the lawyer succeeded in sowing doubts about the veracity of what I heard. But the shock came from the wife, as she mentioned that.. Letard.. came to the house at ten o'clock and ten minutes, and also raised everyone's surprise when she revealed that she was not his wife at all, as she deceived him with an invalid marriage because she was originally married to a German man. These developments raised the concern of the lawyer and his team, as it became clear that the fate of the accused would be conviction and execution. But the matter took a different turn when an unknown woman with a strange accent called the lawyer. Wilfred offered him love letters written by the wife to her lover, and mentions in one of them that she will testify that her husband has arrived home at ten o'clock and ten minutes to get rid of him. The lawyer met her as the woman wanted, and she explained to him that her criminal lover had a sexual relationship with the wife, and she sold him their love letters. These letters made the wife appear in court as a plot to entrap her husband. As a result, he got .to respond. He was acquitted amid signs of approval and encouragement from those present in the courtroom. The audience's enthusiasm reached the point of attacking the wife outside the courtroom, but the police rescued her and returned her to the courtroom. And there she found herself in front of the lawyer in the empty hall. The wife reveals to the lawyer that she was the woman who gave him those letters, and that she did that trick to save her husband, because he was actually the one who committed that crime, as she is ready to do everything for him even if he puts her in prison on charges of lying in court, or worse than that. This made the lawyer furious. And he entered the hall to dice and confirmed that he was indeed the murderer, and according to British law, a person cannot be tried for the same crime twice. To everyone's surprise, a beautiful young girl entered the hall and was taken into the arms of Nard. And his wife asked him about her, and the answer to Nard was that she was his beloved, and he informed his wife of the end of their alleged marriage. Just as he saved his wife from the ruin of Germany, she saved him from the gallows, and thus any commitment between them ended. The wife did not believe what she heard, especially after all the sacrifice she had made for him, so she attacked him and stabbed him with a knife to die on the spot. Here, the nurse said, "I killed him." The lawyer replied, "I executed him." Soon, the famous lawyer expressed his willingness to defend the wife at her trial.? Best regards Dr. Farid Al-Jarrah

Love Marlene in this flim I must confess I never really sat down and watched the whole film at once. Never really got into Marlene's movies. Yes I always knew what a great live Cabaret singer she was, and the fact both my parents were teenagers when World War II broke out in Europe, and I was born to them in there lives late as a late child in the late 60's for them so by the time I was born both my parents were almost shy of two years they botg would be turning 40, and both my parents were born on the same year. Because, of this fact I learned to appreciated stars and singers from that era to.

Unfortunately this would have been hearsay. But only offered for impeachment. Her admission under oath that she wrote the letters solves the hearsay problem. But Sir Wilfred’s instincts are spot on. “Too neat. Too tidy. And all together too symmetrical. That’s what’s wrong with it.” Brilliant stuff!
