      @@RunningAlive 🤣yes i know, but having done long stuff like that, i also know, that there comes a point in such long races, where nothing matters, but to keep on putting one foot in front of the other without thinking a single thought, just trying to survive til it is done....and all the good plans are out the window

    Looking forward to the recap. My question is, did they change directions every 4 hours or just roughly every 4 hours? If it was the latter did it throw your plan and the way you chunked the time in anyway?

      PS any chance you could share your homemade gel recipe? Registered for my first Backyard Ultra yesterday (Red’s at Kembla Grange, NSW in August ). Cheers mate

      Best of luck for the Backyard Ultra. For the Gels its super simple: Maltodextrin (I get mine from Bulk Nutrients) and standard white sugar (table sugar). I mix in the same weight of each and add a little bit of warm water to dissolve it all into a gel consistency then cool it in the fridge over night.
