    hYPER! It's been a while since I have caught a video but I'm so glad I saw this one pop up!
    I'm surprised a little by the performance of the steam deck, and it looks like the games that were tested were all relatively new. I'm thinking the deck could handle a lot of older games with ease it looks like. Either way, great video, love the new format!

    The deck is running on battery power and doesn't need to be plugged in to run at full power compared to laptops

      That's my main reason for buying one second he's comparing steam deck to a 3050 to 😒

      @@allhandsonsteamdeck1440 well yeah its a 3050 but some of it maybe just be on the cooling there is something called "thermal throlling" (idk if i got the spelling right) cuz the laptop has way better cooling than the steam deck and better colling= better overall performance. but overall you cant complain about the steam deck has good performance for such a smal thing. now if i was on a very low budget i would buy the steam deck but if i have a higher budget i would buy a laptop with a 3050 or 3060 something like the nitro 5 or rog g15

    I heard that the Steam Deck can only run the games in your library that are verified, is that true? Also can it run other apps like Discord, or can it run other games, because not all of my games are on Steam (Ubisoft, Epic, standalone games, etc..)
    This looks like a cool little device to have, but I feel like my gaming laptop is more practical, especially since it allows me to switch between gaming and working

      @OneAngrehCat Před 2 lety

      Not true, it can run what runs on Linux. So not everything but a lot.
      It can run Discord and everything else (that runs on Linux).

      @@OneAngrehCat that's cool to know, although it can run some apps on Linux, it just kinda sucks that it can't run any other non steam games I own. I'll probably just stick to a gaming laptop for now, since it's more practical

      @@user-ol9ck7ig2f when did I say it couldn't run non-steam games? It can.

      @@OneAngrehCat I figured you'd assume that the non steam client games I own are windows based. Can it run a Windows based on a Linux OS is my question? And if it can, what kinda hoops would you have to jump through to get it to work?

      @@user-ol9ck7ig2f Worst case scenario, it won't run them, best case scenario, just open steam-->add nonsteam games to the library-->>select settings on the newly added app and force proton compatibility.
      It worked for me when i tried running linux to see how things worked on that side of the road, normally it just works, sometimes you need to select specific proton versions, in some cases you might have to install non steam versions of proton called GE-Proton.
      Proton is an interpreter to make windows apps work on linux.
      And the community has been making many of these hoops easy to work with, with stuff like EmuDeck or the Epic Launcher, you can now run most non steam games easly.

    WHY COMPARE A STEAM DECK TO A 3050 TI WHATS THE POINT THE DECK IS STILL MORE PORTABLE AND VERSITLE
