TLDR: Boys blame the owner for 9 minutes and ignore the GM saying they are close to a deal. Clown show

if some how, some way Brind'Amour becomes available, not only are teams with interim and no head coach signed, PLAYOFF teams will seriously reconsider their own coach. thats how good Brind'Amour is as a people person alone. hes not just a coach for your organization.

Some weight needs to be given to the fact that the GM just today is insistent that we're close to a deal.
But yeah, it's weird, it's a bad look, and I would never forgive Dundon if he let Rod go. It hurt when we lost Kaiton as our radio voice, it hurt when we lost Forslund for TV, but I could forgive that given how the team itself has turned around. But we are where we are thanks 99% to Brind'Amour.

I don't think he's going anywhere but if he does expect the Devils to be the biggest player

Nah it'll be Seattle. Ronnie and Rod. BUT he's staying in Carolina and it isn't about money. I don't even think there's conflict like Weekes and O'Neil are saying. I think it's about Rod deciding his future and then the deal needing to get done.
Weekes was a crap goalie and a crap analyst. O-Dog just spouts off with emotion... Neither know shit.

If Carolina beats NY Rangers in the 2nd round Rangers will put in a mega offer to Rod Brind'Amour for sure.

I've been a canes fan since I was 5 when they moved to North Carolina. The Canes under Brind'Amour have surpassed any Canes team Weekes or O-Dog played on. Weekes is the worst hahah. The worst goalie and the worst analyst.
O'Neil saying it's about money with Dundon is just rhetoric. I guarantee they don't have the full story and are full of crap. Weekes and O'Neil know nothing hahah.

Coaching is over rated. Carolina is a good team. They would have the same record with me behind the bench
